Do not come here. They are dishonest and will lie about their services and will overcharge you. I drove here three times in the summer from Manhattan, which is a 1.5 hr trip. They advertise all these great slides. The problem is that especially for the toddler/young kid slides, half of them probably wont be open for you. Specifically, we would get there in the late morning. There would be lots of people. Wed buy tickets for a 3 hour window. But they would refuse to open three of the kiddie slides until the place was absolutely packed in the mid-afternoon and we had only 20 min left in our time slot. A bunch of them at the front desk told me the slides were temporarily closed due to "maintenance issues." The first time I went, I believed this. But then I found out from chatting with lifeguards that this excuse was nonsense. There was no maintenance going on. In fact, "maintenance" is just "code" for refusing to hire lifeguards to man the slides until the place is absolutely jam-packed. The lifeguards actually used the word "code" in apologetically explaining this to me. This happened all three times I was there. "Maintenance" in the morning (when there are a lot of people but not completely packed) and in the midafternoon, the "maintenance" issue magically resolves itself (when the the place is packed). In sum, they advertise a great selection of slides, but dont be fooled. Especially for the toddler/young kid slides, chances are that half of them will be closed, and youll discover this only after youve paid the full amount and entered the park.

This review is for the Amusement Park instead of the next door Runaway Rapids water park. The Keansburg Amusement Park, IMHO, is another diamond in the rough, especially for those of us living in central new jersey. There are lots of "nicer", newer, more famous, and more expensive amusement parks for kids, such as Six Flags or Sesame Place. But this park beats them all, especially for families with kids in the 4-10 years range, for the following reasons: (1) Its great value. For a $24 bracelet, your kid can ride all day. My kids rode the rides over 50 times, and they had a blast. (2) There are no lines! You dont have to wait for 30 min to an hour just to get in a 3 minute ride. (3) Lots of kiddie rides, and a good variety. (4) The food is very reasonably priced, unlike other amusement parks. (5) Easy drive: Its only a 30 minute drive for those us in Central Jersey. (6) Cheap and near by parking: Park all day for only $5, and you can go back and forth to your car if you forget something. (This is very important for those of us with little kids). (7) Its next to a little beach and a fishing pier. Granted, its not a super nice beach. But hey, its still a beach. (8) Its got lots of benches for adults to sit and watch their kids going round and round. Basically, Keansburg Amusement Park is like a permanent carnival, with all the rides and games and fun, except for a lot cheaper and no waiting.

absolutely terrible. i went there for camp thinking it was gonna be a fun day. my experience was horrible. the staff at the waterpark is very rude. the waterpark is very small i could throw a ball across it. the water is very cold and it irratated my eyes to the point where they are bloodshot. crossing the street and going to the amusment park, i was hoping it was gonna get better. it didnt. me and my friends went on all of the rides thinking they were gonna break. i definitely did not feel safe what so ever. half of the rides where closed. me and my friends went on moby dick and as the ride came to an end the handle bar unfacended without any notice. it came flying up and then came flying down. it hit my friend in the face and she got a terrible bloody nose. the fries were very salty just like your staff. i was yelled at many times for sitting in the "wrong places". what really crosses theough my mind is why people actually come to this place. its extremely run down and i cant be more greatful its all over. u will probably never see my face at this place again. and im warning u dont go there

The food is great and reasonably priced, and the park is very clean and safe with lots if fun rides and slides for all ages to go on. However, I rated this place 4 stars because my family and I go there about 5 times a summer. This summer for the first two visits, we arrived at 4pm for the deal and two hours of fun at the park, which is enough for us. When purchasing wrist bands, we were told that they were closing at 5, which left us about 45 min-1 hr of fun, which, for us, was not enough. We had checked Google earlier and found out that they were open until 6, and we told them that. They said that Google doesnt have the right hours, and that we should go on their website. I know lots of people who use Google to find out the hours and other information of a business, including myself. Next time I visited them, I check the WEBSITE, and it said they were open until 6, so I arrived at 4 once again only to be told they were closing at 5 yet another time. I have rated this park 4 stars for their outdated website that should be updated every day.

Great place to take the family. Something for all ages. Plenty of lifegaurds. Prices are a little high and my husband who is handicapped still had to pay a "dry spectator fee" (which is lower than regular admission) to get in and watch the kids have fun. Reccomend wearing water shoes in the lazy river as my sons feet and his friends feet got pretty banged up in there. The amusement park across the street is also a lot of fun and there are combination bracelets for both parks available on certain days as well as season passes and unlimited ride bracelets on certain nights just for the amusement park. See their website for details.

The hours seem to vary depending on unclear reasons and are not clearly posted. A friend and I ended up going on a Friday after 4pm and found out by asking that it closed at 6pm. After 4:00, the price was $12.99 compared to what I believe were two 3-hour intervals of time in the morning/early afternoon costing about $25.00 each. Im glad we chose to go for the discounted rate because we only needed about an hour to do everything we wanted to do. Three hours would have had us feeling both bored and slightly taken for an additional $12-13 that wouldnt have been worth it. Other than that, it was a fun way to kill an hour or so.

There is a reason that the park is cheap. It is dirty and needs to be upgraded. Also, did not feel too safe. There were couple of "floaters" hanging around. Nobody seems to question them or aks them what they were doing alone in the kids park. Apparantly the police are more interested in writing up tickes for exceeded the meter. I got a $30 Ticket for being 3 minutes late to get to my car. There were all but 4 cars in the lot of about 100 and they were still ticketing people rather than qestioning these randon perople hanging around the park. Keansburg should just put up a sign keep away! Stinky rides and meter naazis.
