I went to see a rated R movie with 4 of my friends. We attend ASU so were all 17/18. One of my friends only had her school ID with her. The man at the counter said he needed to see a birthdate so she tried looking for something on her ASU account that stated her birthdate. The man said he needed a physical card in order to let us into the movie. We bought tickets at the kiosk instead thinking we could just beat the system. The guy at the door let us in however the lady at the actual theater would not let us in. They wouldnt give us a refund but they let us see a different movie which was crap and probably the worst movie Ive ever seen. It was not worth it. this movie theater felt more like a dictatorship than a theater. I think its ridiculous that you need to present a physical card instead of just finding some alternative to show proof of date of birth. There are so many people who dont have IDs at all, so they cant see a movie?

The ticket price is lower than other AMC theaters, and they do have nice reclining seats, but other than that you get what you pay for. I saw a movie there and could hear the dialogue of the theaters next to us as if I was inside that theater. I went out to the desk and told the person working that and they acted like that was a normal thing to experience in a movie theater. Ive been to quite a few different theaters in my life and save the occasional explosion during a quiet scene, Ive never been able to hear the theaters around me. Another thing was that, generally movie theaters position the door in a hallway or around a corner, but this theater had the door right on the back wall so whenever someone went out to the bathroom or whatever, the entire theater got a nice flood of light. Overall, poorly designed theater in regards to sound and light.

Great theater, extremely rude staff. In my first experience, I tried to buy tickets from the kiosk and they would not print. I brought my issue to a manager who proceeded to charge me twice for the tickets, and give me a refund that never went through. He got very short with me and acted like this was my fault. Wish I wouldve caught his name so I could complain about him directly to AMC theaters. In my second experience, I went to refill my soda at the "unlimited refill" machine, when a manager proceeded to yell at me from across the lobby that I couldnt get free refills. Very rude to yell at a customer. Again, I love this theater but the staff is just terribly rude and do not have customer service as their number one priority.

This is basically the only theater I go to when I want to watch a movie! Affordaable tickets and the price of snacks arent that bad at all! Love the seats here as well. Since I moved here a year ago this has been the only spot I take my family and friends. Would have got a 5 star rate but lately the customer service here has gone down. They dont ask if they can help you they just stand there and look at you like "what do you want" kind of look. Ive gotten that look from to specific people there some blonde female and another tall male. IDK if its a race thing being im Native American? but never had that problem there until these two started but other than that love it. Please address being I go here a lot. Thank You.

Although getting to this theater can be a pain since its right off Mill, and parking has the potential to be a mess, I love this theater, because its one of the AMC theaters with sofa/reclining seats. Theyre huge red leather seats that can recline at the touch of a button. Seating is reserved, so you can do it online hours before the show, and not have to worry about arriving really early to get the best seats for a movie. Concessions are hit or miss when it comes to cleanliness, but what movie theater doesnt have that problem? The floors of the theaters and seats are kept nice and clean though!

If you have never been there before arrive early because it hard to find the theater and once you find it it very hard to find the parking lot. I even map quested it but I should have looked at street view. The theaters are small and they do make you choose a seat from a seating map at the time you buy your ticket. Once you get there there it really wonderful. Its so clean and the reclining seats recline from just a little to fully reclining with feet elevated. It absolutely was the most comfortable movie experience I have ever had.

I like this theater. Off the beaten path (park in the lot at 725 S Ash Ave., next to the Chase building and get your parking ticket validated by AMC), plush reclining seats, great restaurants/bars in the area to eat/drink at before or after the movie. Keep in mind, that it is practically on the ASU campus, so please be prepared to "enjoy" the company of many students. A few of them still havent learned about not talking during movies, but they are still in school, so I think it will get in their heads eventually.

My experience at this theater was amazing. I will never go back to a Harkins Theater again. People are more respectful and stay off their phone during the movie. I definitely like the reclining seats it makes it more relaxing to watch a movie. Theaters are always kept clean. No popcorn smashed on the floor. staff is very professional and helpful at the same time. we enjoy buying our tickets online. Definitely like the option that youre able to pick what seat you want sit in.

I love this place but I wish they were honest with their start times on movies. Literally every show starts 25-30 mins after the scheduled time. The previews along with AMC logos take forever. I dont mind it anymore since I just arrive 20 minutes after the advertised showtime and still have time to get snacks and whatnot but they should still post the actual times or at least a few minutes off but 25-30 minutes is kind of ridiculous.

My favorite theatre!! Hours of my life have been wasted standing in line for movies..not anymore! You can reserve your seats online and walk right at in at showtime. Huge reclining leather seats too! Best parking is in the garage behind the theatre. You can get your parking ticket validated at the theatre (up to four hours) for free parking. Get there an hour early and grab a tasty brat and brew at Handlebar around the corner!

I love the tucked away location. And,the fact that the theatre is not huge and the reclinable seats make it so that I dont have to worry about anyone kicking my seat from the back (which has been a problem before in other theatres). Refillable soda machines right outside the theatre rooms definitely make this location a hot one!! All in all a really great theater, small, clean and good prices for the tickets.

Customer service is okay, but the place never has to many "things" laying on the ground ( occasionally I see leftover crumbs and trash under seats but its very rare). Chairs are comfortable, bathrooms are always clean. They have discounted prices for afternoon showings. Convenient for College kids /other.Trolley located near by. Nearby restaurants, bars, mom marts and more.
