Saw Michael Jacksons This Is It at the Rave and it was by far the best place in town to see it. The sound was absolutely awesome! If you are going to see a concert movie, the last thing you want is to go to a theatre with subpar sound, or where they are afraid to just crank it good and loud. Im a huge MJ fan and Ive seen the movie This Is It at least once at every theatre in my town. The Rave by far provided the best experience for seeing This Is It, just so far as sound, picture quality, everything. I really felt like I was right there in the room watching MJ rehearse and that is the way the movie is supposed to make you feel. The Rave really allows you to have the full experience. When I have friends that ask me the best place to see it, I tell them The Rave,

For the most part, I like this theater with regards to movies. Polices, however, are another matter. Everything is well kept and clean, good food selection (expensive of course). What I dont like....is their rule on looking in backpacks. They target and stereotype you based on gender. Obviously, they are looking for firearms, but they dont do it across the board. Here is an example. I came in because I didnt want to leave my ipad in the hot car with a small sling. They "have" to look in the backpack. Yet I bring up the fact that EVERY woman is walking in 1/4 of them with "movie" purses that would envelope my whole backpack and they dont even check them. I guess stereotyping is still valid...

Last weekend my husband and I went for the first time since amc took over. We ate no snacks because a small popcorn and soda has jumped to $15. Then we got our seats only to find a messed up screen showing just green and red streaks. Thankfully, they got it fixed before the movie started. This weekend I wanted to try amcs yellow ticket in order to save some money (especially with the crazy new snack prices), but the website says some movies are excluded. Which movies? The website doesnt say, so I tried calling. Ive tried to call them five different times since they opened today, but nobody answers.

I saw Catching Fire in theater 2 on Friday, November 22nd. I enjoyed the movie but the picture quality was abysmal. It looked like a DVD stretched out over a really large screen. It was also very dark, even in the outdoor scenes where it was obviously not supposed to be dark. Why would I spend my money to see that when I can wait a couple of months and watch it in crystal clear bluray on a HDTV? Seriously, I would have asked for my money back but didnt want to go through the hassle over $7.00 I wont be going back anytime soon, if ever.

the cost of the movie tickets was about normal, however they failed to tell me that they would charge me extra for securing my tickets online. When we got there it ran me 40.00 for 2 medium popcorns, and 4 medium drinks, id like to add that the popcorn was so salty half way through the bag we could not eat it. At the end of the movie a fist fight broke out, I had my kids with me and theater staff did nothing to stop the fight. Next time I will either catch a matinee and sneak my own snacks in or go somewhere else.

Carmike rocks. Seats way better than Monaco IMHO. Daytime and late night during week you are practically the only one, if no the only one in your movie. I LOVE IT!!! Clean, nice, Their IMAX is insane, and im an avid movie goer who just moved here from a very large city (top 6 in nation) with awesome theaters. This one keeps up with the best. Sound and DLP in IMAX is unreal. Ill see movies I havent even wanted really to see, just because they are in IMAX. Long Live Valley Bend 18!!!!!

The best movie theater in Huntsville. IMAX baby! ;-) Annual popcorn buckets you can buy and refill for a bargain. Much better than a certain place that still uses messy bags for popcorn. You dont have to reserve a SEAT! Woo Hoo! How many times are you bored to death in Huntsville and decide, lets go see a movie. If you go to two other places in town, you will be stuck sitting in bad seats if you didnt plan ahead, not here, just get there a little early, no need to plan days in advance.

I have enjoyed Rave since it opened in my college town and loved that one opened here in my hometown now since I am back here. Pricing is about the same as most theaters. I do enjoy this one better then the newer theater in town due to it being a comfortable experience, and the service is good. If there has ever been a problem they are quick top fix it and compensate for it as well. Weeknights are a great time to go, hardly anyone in the theater and it fills like your own theater...:)

The Carmike is the best theater in Huntsville. It has mediocre IMAX (if you want IMAX go to the Space and Rocket Center), clean theaters, and plenty of theaters so if you missed a movie then you dont have to rush to see it. The staff are very friendly and they can get the selective release movies, not just the wide release. I highly recommend movie going experience before the over priced Monaco or shady sticky floored movies theaters around Huntsville

We have been here several times. We went for a Sunday night show. We were able to get our tickets and get seated pretty quickly. We were in auditorium # 4. My seat creaked slightly when I moved. I had to be still for fear of distracting others. Other than that, no complaints. The picture and audio were fine. Other customers were well-behaved. I hear they are changing from Carmike to AMC real soon.

since this theatre opened, I never go to another one. more spacious, lots of leg room, great sound quality, clean. the prices are slightly higher, not by much tho. but as a college student, you cant get a student discount unless its for matinee showings mon thru thurs. kinda disappointing. and they need more 8pm showings. other than that I have no complaints. compared to hollywood 18 this is top notch

Everything needed in an exceptional movie theater. Ample parking with lots of angles to get close, choice of kiosk or window to buy tickets, lots of help for concessions. And most important it is clean. The theaters are all in great shape. They have police presence on the weekends even though loitering doesnt seem to be a problem. I travel a lot and wish all theaters were this nice.

This theater is nice by normal standards but since it was acquired by Carmike the quality has decreased. Way too many cheesy Carmike promotion animations before the start of the movie and the building maintenance isnt as good. Also the staff operations change frequently. Its hard to tell if you should buy a ticket at the booth or the snack stand inside.

Saw La La Land - awesome musical. However, no reserved seating so they recommend you go 30 minutes in advance of "start time" for popular shows. Sure enough top area of seating was full 30 min in advance. Commercials and trailers went 20 minutes past start time, so sat for almost an hour before movie started. Suggest going to Monaco for reserved seating.
