This was the single worst experience I have ever had at a theater. There was bad music absolutely blasting over the speakers while we waited IN THE DARK at a childrens movie for the previews to start. Ten minutes after the movie was to start, multiple parents went out to ask what was going on. Fifteen minutes late, the previews started and all of the house lights came on. There was no audio with the previews and the music was still playing so loudly we had to shout to talk to the person next to us. Again, multiple parents went to complain. At the END of the previews, they turned the terrible music off and started the audio. FINALLY the movie started. The house lights were all still on and the music came back. NO AUDIO FOR THE MOVIE! The movie continued to play as several parents left to complain for the THIRD TIME. We demanded that they start the movie at the beginning. We went back in and the audio eventually came in as the music turned off and the house lights went down. By this time we had missed the first 10 minutes of the movie! They didnt restart the movie!! Mid way through, the movie froze. We all sat for several minutes waiting for it to be fixed. FOR THE FOURTH TIME multiple parents had to go search out an employee to get it started. At no time during any of this did a single employee apologize. At no time during any of this did a single employee even enter the theater. We had hoped for a fun family outing. This was anything but. This was the last time we will give Showplace Cinemas any of our money. AMC is the only place for us. Trying local was a huge mistake.

It was soo disgusting we had to seat ourselves at the only available Booth which had sticky seats all around that table! And guess just what was sitting behind the cocktail menu! ! An Adam and Eve adults only merchandise catalog !! My dad picks it up thinking its some menu holds it up and I gasped in horror. Y y y didnt the busboys c this as they cleaned?? Absolute FILTH! !!

Super cheap during the week plus free popcorn every night for people to use. Drinks are expensive though so thats how they get you, unless you manage to sneak some water bottles inside. Good quality screens and audio isnt super bad, bass can be overpowering at times. Has railings down near the front for people who like to kick back when they watch movies like me!

Went to a movie that started at 7:40. Got drinks and the movie started. The new seats are really nice, but went to get some popcorn and another drink at 8:00 and was told they had started cleaning out the machines and they couldnt sell anymore concessions. What kind of place wont sell food after 8 pm. When. The movie just started. If you go buy food beforehand.

This is the best kept secret in Evansville. You choose your own reclining seat in any theater so you have plenty of personal space. Even when the theater is full you arent bumping elbows with your neighbor. And with every ticket they give a free bag of popcorn. If you havent been there you need to go.

Took my granddaughter to see Secret Life of Pets on July 27th, 2016. We were in theater room #7. Very disappointed at how dirty it was in there as it was only 11:30 am. Food on floor and chairs. Had to scout around for clean seats and cup holders-yuk! Lot of money spent to sit in dirty theater.

Wear long pants... It must have been 55°f in the theater, combined with a huge leather chair...very uncomfortable! New Reserved Seating is another triumph of technology over common sense. Cheaper and easier to stay home and watch Netflix or On Demand.

Went there on a Sunday afternoon & got ate up from the ankles by some type of bugs. Bit from the ankles all the way up past my knees. My legs were covered in in sores the next day. Called management to complain and they could have cared less.

The hidden gem of local cinemas - stadium seating, cheap matinee prices, free popcorn, and best of all, hardly anyone in the theater to disturb you. I shouldnt be writing this. I should give it 1 star to keep you all away.

Great theatre, if a bit outdated. Free popcorn with purchase of a ticket. Every time Ive gone the tickets have been five dollars, so I assume thats the normal price. Check it out if you want a cheap movie!

Great smaller movie theater, tucked away enough to keep it from being crowded. BUT, has the fancy reclining seats like the big boys. Most may not realize, but your first bag of popcorn is FREE.
