My recent experience with Miss Virginia Deep Sea fishing was less than desirable. It seemed to be a "bait and switch". I reserved a trip with two others on 4/9/15 on the Miss Virginia, only to be transferred to the Dolphin. The boat was overcrowded, letting walk-on passengers board the ship. The day we planned on the water catching fish was spent untangling lines because the passengers were on top of each other. There was little to no help from the crew. I called to express my displeasure the following day, only to be treated poorly and with disrespect from Virginia her self! The customer service was not even deserving of one star. She raised her voice at me, and I was told she had other calls to take and she was very busy. Previously, I had been a satisfied and return customer of the Miss Virginia, taking multiple enjoyable fishing trips with this outfit. I am in a position in my community that gives me the opportunity to refer people and guests in our neighborhood to area activities. I have sent many friends, family and visitors to the Miss Virginia. This will no longer happen. I shared this with Virginia on the phone and she was rude and non accommodating. I felt I was due some type of compensation, along with the two friends that I took on this disastrous trip. She would not hear of this, and when asked who else I could speak with to address this, she said her dad ran the company and became belligerent when I asked for his name. There are multiple fishing charter companies in the area, and my business along with anyone that asks, will not be directed to the Miss Virginia or Dolphin. Worst experience ever. Save your money or go to a different charter company. -Richard P.

I first went deep sea fishing when i was a young girl about 13, I was in a group home nearby.It was all me and these other kids first time and i had the greatest time of my life, exactly why i fell in love with fishing. I caught so many grunt ,black seabass, i even caught a grouper one year and my best friend caught a sea turtle. What miss virginia did for our grouphome, for me when i had no one to do for me. Is something that cant be reviewed by a star or even a post. Id be a different person if i never went fishing .

Bunch of plumbers booked a trip with hydrologic and it was great. Captain & crew were so helpful the whole time. We caught a bunch of fish at a bunch of different locations. Every time the hook got caught on rocks or the line spun out they were right there super quick to help out. I had a blast and will definetly be back! They even clean your fish for you back at shore. Freaking awesome time.

What a nightmare ! I have never experienced such rudeness from individuals that you pay to provide a service. The Captain was dropping F bombs in front of small children on and prior to boarding the boat. Very unprofessional. If you want to spend your day catching "grunts" and rude comments from the crew, this is your ticket. My party of 5 will never return to the Miss Virginia !

Ive been on many fishing charters and this one was the best. The Captain and crew were fantastic! All 5 of us in our group caught fish and had a fun day. Thankfully you can buy lunch and drinks on the boat too because we came from a hotel that morning and didnt have time to pack anything for ourselves. Highly recommend and well definitely do again.

Went few times with the crew and bunch of friends and kids. Every time got plenty of fish. Crew is very good and helpful. Would recommend the place to spend a day outside and get something for dinner. Make sure you check the weather report before going. Dont recommend to go if waves around 3-5 feet. You will get sea sick.

I boarded the Mss Virginia on a charter invite. Had an absolute BLAST! All staff were friendly and Knowledgeable. Caught loads of fish. Grouper, Cobia, snappers, etc.. Captain moves to find the fish. Mates are on top of things, food is good, boat is clean and runs well. Will see you again Mss Virginia. Ben

We unfortunately had to cancel our trip last minute, but the customer service leading up to the date was outstanding. They will definitely be at the top of our list next year when we plan another trip, and based on how we were treated, i am sure the trip will be excellent.

Fun day on the water, we all caught something. Bring a pad to sit on, the seating on the boat is rather hard and get there early for a good seat. staff could of given more instruction... as a first timer i would of liked some tips!

Waste of money. Didnt catch any fish at all. Didnt even get any bites at all until the very last spot we stopped at. Never been on a deep sea fishing trip where I didnt catch a single fish until this one.

Always fun and friendly crew. Reasonable pricing and the food & beer on board is a huge advantage to being able to just walk on and back off. Sold my boat& happy to ride. Lol
