A couple weeks ago before the price changes, I would have given this place 5 stars. Me and my fiancé came here multiple times a month. Sometimes 2-3 times a week! We had No problems waiting a bit longer to see the movies that other theaters had before hand. Not to mention we pass 2 of them just to get there. We havent been in a couple weeks until tonight. We tell the guy what movie and he rang it up, damn near 14$. Were looking at him kinda crazy and hes rambling about giving us popcorn and drinks, which we didnt ask for. I dont even know why or really even what he was talking about after seeing the price. We simply told him no, we dont want any popcorn or drinks, you can take that off, we just want 2 tickets. Now he looks at us like were stupid. And of course tells us about the changes. Were on a budget. Like most folks who go there Im sure. So that being said, we didnt stay. You have lost an easy 6 - 12 times a month customers. For a buck more I can stretch out on electric recliners and get my food brought to my seat, and eat that food on a TABLE! Like really, yall done messed up. I saw one review saying they did this because of competition against Redbox. ???? Who raises prises 3-4$ higher than there competitors? You can def tell that they are now gonna fail as a business. I throught they were closed when we drove on, Ive never seen it the lot so empty. Litteraly 4 cars. That Im sure were the employees. Like a lady said in her review, dont fix something that aint broken. Now Im def going to your competition. ✌

Came to the AMC 10 theater (Huntsville) to see Wonder Woman.... getting 1 adult and 1 child ticket and finding out the prices had increased to double .... without any notice at all. Needless to say I will no longer go to either AMC theaters. They are both old and out dated furnishing in the theaters. For alittle more money, I can have more comfort and better concessions at the Madison 12 and Monaco. In the theater I was in there were broken seating. If a theater is going to have similar pricing then it should also consider updating and fixing broken seats and armrests. The restrooms are nasty, smelly and outdated as well. AMC should have posted the price increases to the public instead of letting them find out when paying for tickets. I was not the only person to question the pricing. When I did the person told me that they werent given any notice. There was no sign on the door and no email notification. Very poor business practice

Good prices, Great Fresh Popcorn. The Yearly Bucket is a great deal. Buy a Bucket in January then you can refill it anytime during the year for $3.50 Per the other users not fresh popcorn comment. Perhaps you just showed up inbetween batches. They DO make it fresh multiple times a day, normally before every showing. Per another user complaining about kids, thats pretty typical of kids in general now days, too many parents treat the mall or movie theater as a daycare for their kids where they dump them off and let them run wild. Ive really not had a problem at this theater, its not as bad as Bridge Street on a Friday or Saturday night. Seats and the screens are fine, not fancy, but not bad either. I have the theater all "1s" because it isnt the newest, but there is nothing wrong with the place and its better than dealing with the mess at Bridge Street. (kids, parking, price gouging)

When going to AMC discount theater I was thrilled to find that they were a first run theater! This made me realize I was getting a better deal at AMC theaters because at Monaco or Touchstar Id be paying anywhere from 13-15 dollars a movie ticket, however at AMC adult tickets are the low price 4.35 before 4 p.m and 6.53 after 4 p.m. The childrens prices are consistently 4.35 throughout the day. Even though the seats arent reclining I come to the movie theater to see a movie and AMC provides me with that at a reasonable price. With todays modernized technology AMC Huntsville 10 was coerced into becoming a regular theater. With the competition of red box, sales began to decrease. So they did what all businesses do in a time of crisis. They tried something new, and I love it!

Eh, Im not so sure about giving The Dollar Movies a five stars, but the Carmike 10 is the best "Dollar Movies" Ive been to. It doesnt smell bad. The place is clean. And they know how to focus the projector. Since all the projectors are digital, you dont have the issues you had back in the day with a Dollar Movies theater, namely that the film had been played out and spliced. The price, despite me calling it the Dollar Movies, is not a dollar. Its $2, and an extra 50 cents on the weekends. I think 3D is an extra $2.50. And while the best dollar movies Ive been to, its not amazing compared to a normal theater. Its a little dumpy. Note: As a Carmike theater, you can get the popcorn refill bucket that lasts a full calendar year.

Love going to the movies with my kids. They tend to be "kids" though and sing along or stand up at their seat and dance during their favorite parts. In the past, having a dollar theator to let my little ones really enjoy the show was great. Now that this is a first run, I not only think its well well below standard for what you get, but it has lost its luster for what it once was. Hitting a dollar movie, expecially a kids movie, always proved to be almost a social experience with kids having fun, and a 15 a year popcorn bucket that was always in hand. Now its just a poor version of all the other place in town. Whoever changed it clearly doesnt understand the market. They had their own nitch, and they just gave it up.

I love the way Carmike 10 has been refurbished inside and out. The price of the tickets and the popcorn is better than Carmike 20 in Jones Valley too :) I enjoy going there also because I used to take my children there years ago when they were kids so it holds good memories for me. Now I can take my grandchildren. I like the pleasant more relaxed family atmosphere that Carmike 10 affords, and the clear lights on the theater steps making them easier for a granny to see. Getting to Carmike 10 on Old Monrovia has less traffic than some of the other theater do. I only wish the Hollywood folks would take a hint and make PG rated versions for all of the R rated movies! Thanks Carmike!

This is a great little movie theatre. Movies are second run, tickets are cheap, popcorn is delicious and popped fresh (not poured out of a bag popped yesterday like other theatres around). Staff is friendly, theatre is clean. If you are looking for a place to spit shine your shoes and serve your Sugar Babies on a silver tray, this isnt it. But, if you are looking for a clean, dry place to enjoy a movie, it is definitely worth the wait and the dollar admission. Best part: most of those pesky teenagers with their outside voices and obnoxious cell phones have no idea this place exists. Tuesdays are dollar popcorn and drink night as well! Totally worth it!
