WOW!!! what has happened?? My family of 5 went to the movies today, Monday, July 5th, and we were charged for a "holiday rate", even though it is Monday and it isnt a "holiday" today. $42.50 to get into the theater (2 adults and 3 kids ages 8 and under). They also raised the prices on the popcorn significantly. The combo that we used to get for $12.75 is now $18...and they dont serve the tubs of popcorn anymore...so they increased the price and decreased the size. Needless to say, we were very unhappy and wont be visiting again. Instead, we will wait a few extra weeks and go to the Merrillville 10. Its cheaper and cleaner because it isnt used as much. FYI....it was extremely dirty. I dont think the counters had been wiped of the greasiness in a week...yuck! and the bathrooms were filthy.

I been coming to this teacher since I moved in to Hobart 2 yrs ago so far all employees I ever talk to ( to buy tickets or food) been nice to me and kids , prices are high just like any other teather you go , I have my reward card so I get $10 back often because I go often. My only complaint now is the cheese for the nachos!!!! WTH just happened we always buy nachos and they recently change the cheese and it taste bad , when I comment this to the lady at the register she mention that I want the only one complaining so I hope they change the cheese again PLEASE!!! Because Im not longer buying nachos and thats a shame because we (my family of 6 and I ) really loved them!

Its a busy Saturday morning and thy have 4 people 2 at ticket sales and two at concessions. It took over 15 minutes to get popcorn, then there was no salt on the popcorn, no shaker out to salt my popcorn. I asked and no response.. it was busy so I cant be mad about that. Went to fill up my drink and it reads it is out of regular coke .. how in the hell are you out of regular Coke ? The floors were sticky, the theater was filthy for an 11:45 am showing of it. Completely disgusting set up. Way over priced. Ill give my money to Goodrich theaters. At least they act like they want my business and keep it clean.

Went to see Madea Halloween . My experience was similar to Mr. Lemuel Muhammad. I was given a hard time with free refill on popcorn. I was asked to show receipts, really?!?! Where else would I get a large empty bucket of popcorn.... Lol. Then, when I couldnt find receipt, gave attendant my stubbs premiere card with perks of free refill.She still insisted on receipt, finally refill was given. Very frustrating and embarrassing over a simple matter. More training is most definitely needed with better customer service.

I have all wonderful experiences visiting this AMC. Lines are short, employees are friendly and welcoming, and the theater is very clean. One of my favorite things about AMC Hobart 12 is the AMC Stubs rewards. I highly recommend guest to become premier members. It gives you discounts on food, 5$ off of ticket prices, and a special speedy line. Managers are always working, smiling, and trying to make the guest feel comfortable. I HIGHLY encourage people to visit this theater. Have an AMC AMAZING DAY! : )

The consession stand cosmetically looks nice but at soon as you walk into the theater the smell of mold hits your face then when your ready to sit down the seats are stained over 90% (basically held my daughter the whole time it was gross) of the cushion and looks like the same cushions that were there when I was in high school (over 10 years ago). For what we pay in tickets price plus price for food expected way more. Never go there again my family and I will stick with Marcus.

I came here with a gift card to buy my tickets with intentions of spending $10 on a drink and a bag of popcorn. I will never return to this theater. 2 cups for soda and a popcorn were $20. A SMALL bag of popcorn was nearly $7. Im aware food at a theater is usually expensive, but the prices were so high it completely ruined my experience! Save yourself the money, the tickets and food are extremely overpriced for this small sub par theater. I wish i could give 0 stars.

Recently went with my class at school to see Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them, and everyone was very polite. They let us have free refills and were really tolerant of the other kids.. (Im one of those kids who does everything perfect, and has never gotten in trouble) The other kids were all out of control and made our school look bad but they seemed cool about it, so I thank them for that

Seems like management is doing unfair and descriminatory practices to their employees. One handicapped/disabled employee of ten years was fired because he harassed a patron without showing proof or good reason to find the complaint valad. They also fired another disabled employee who had 4 years of service. Its pretty low when a company wont let people with disabilities contribute.

I usually have a good experience. However, some of the staff are just lever pullers without a brain-stem. They cant think, dont know how to treat a customer with a legitimate issue. Calling security like Im gonna get arrested because I asked for a refill on my large over priced popcorn. I am a black man, so I guess the lil ignorant Caucasian girl had to try.

Ok... Standing in a line of 30+ people for the concessions. Its January 2nd, a holiday, and what?! They didnt expect people to show up to the theater?! Theres 2 people running the concessions. We arrived an hour early, and Ive been in line 35 minutes and still have another 10 people in front of me. Horrible management planning. Its ridiculous.

Its good, staff, quick, but everything is just soooo expensive!!! and whatever we (guys) r buying 2 of everything!!! I understand overhead, but sir or maddem please dont make the one cool place for people to date before we turn 18 or 21??? Sincerely- a broke in and just finished high schoolers.....$$

I go there ALL the time. I never have problems with the staff. They are friendly and courtesy. I ve never been asked for a receipt for a refill. They always do it and are patient when I request half so i can butter it up the they top it off. My only complaint is they shut down the beverage station too soon.

Its always very hot in here. I complained to the employee at the counter. He said the manager doesnt prefer the theater to be cool... what?! They NEVER clean the muck that attracts rats after a movie. Whenever a movie begins, I always break down & close the door after 20 minutes or so because they wont.

Me and my husband went to see lights out a few days ago and could not enjoy the movie at all with all the loud interruptions so 5 minutes into the movie over 30 guests walked out and got a refund because there was no point of sitting through a entire movie that you could not hear. Horrible experience
