I flip pin love this place! Pun intended . Ive gone to every other bowling ally in San Antonio and some in the surrounding area, and I continue to go back to Astro for the great lanes, the awesome customer service, and the prices! My friends and I spend hours there practicing and having a great time. I recommend Astro bowl to anyone looking for a nice relaxing place to bowl. The people in the pros shop are very knowledgable and dont try to scam you . I have NEVER had a bad experience there over the course of the three years Ive been bowling there . Im not a league bowler, but this place sure makes me want to be one ... Maybe next year after a little more practice . All in all if you are looking for a place to bowl with out being judged on your skill level, appearance , appetite, or experience...well look no further! AstroBowl is the place to be ! Did I forget to mention the lounge are?? TVs all around, house balls roll great , shoes are well maintained , food taste great and you cant beat the prices . I LOVE THIS PLACE ! Hope to see yall there

Its a very good bowling alley, often quiet and charges good rates for bowling. The food is a bit pricey, and you may be waiting a while to have it made, so order early. Dont have your Bowling Balls drilled at the pro shop here. The kids know nothing of how to drill properly. If you seriously want to buy a bowling ball from here, just buy the ball, and take it to a professional bowling ball driller, like Waynes world. He was the one to drill my bowling ball and he did it with 70+ years of knowledge. If the kids here say that they still the balls here, refuse, because they lie when they say "if the holes are too big, just get grips." If they drilled it properly, you wouldnt need grips.

the facility needs some serious updating.. the screens are old, the balls are old, and the pins kept getting stuck after we would bowl. if you dont get upset easily about things like that you can make it really fun, which my friends and i did. if the ball and pins got stuck, we looked at it like a bonus roll instead of resetting it. the employees were all really nice and the price was amazing! for $6 a person we got shoes and unlimited games 9pm-midnight sunday night. on top of that, the place wasnt even half full! we had two lanes and the nearest lane being used was 4 or 5 lanes over so we werent all packed into one section.

So disappointed. This was mine and my girlfriends first time here. We were given a lane next to a lane that had several bowlers- league. We had nowhere to put our drinks and pizza, because the pit tables were all occupied. I let Leilani- girl at counter, know that we had nowhere else to put our food except in the pit area. Later a lady working comes and tells us we cant have food there and she could see we had nowhere to put it. There was 30 minutes let of our game and we were not happy having had to put our food and drinks underneath someone practically breathing on it- so we left.

This is not my first time visiting this bowling alley but its been over 7 years however its my first time taking my babies bowling. Im going to say this, Im not happy with this place or shall I say the cashier. My babies and I walked in and asked her about the free bowls. She looked at my kids then looked me in my eyes and said, are they yours? If that couldnt be more racists. I looked at her and said YES THEY ARE MINES. She looked again and so said they are adopted and said it right in front of my babies. COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE!!!

You cant bring outside food or drinks, but the food and drinks at Astro Bowl suck. The bowling balls are pretty beaten up and the lanes frequently malfunction by not returning your ball, pins getting jammed, balls getting stuck, scores not tracking correctly or not at all. Bowling shoes are old and nasty. And the whole place stinks. Good news: theres a bar and a jukebox. Bad news: they dont make cocktails. I dont think they have their sights set above being a mediocre dump. Lots of league play here.

A great place for family entertainment!! And the youth league program is improving every season! On Sunday afternoons at 5:00 PM, this is a place where youth league bowlers can join in on the fun, make new friends, get some physical activity, earn scholarships for their future higher education...all the while improving their bowling skills! All young bowlers are welcome...there are youth leagues for all ages and skill levels (ages 3 to 19). In bowling, no one sits on the bench!

I had a decent time bowling, but I was given horrible customer service by the bar tender and the employee who took my food order. First off, the bar tender was rude to me and when he gave me my beer he gave me flat beer, after I asked him why was he being so rude to me and nice to other customers. Secondly, the food was unappetizing and the service we were given was horrible. I do not recommend this bowling alley, youre better off bowling at university bowl.

Ill admit I wasnt a fan of this Bowling center till a couple months ago but they recently redid the lanes and they are wonderful. The staff is very nice and the cafe and bar inside has great food and drinks. Atmosphere still seems a little dated but the lanes are just great. I totally recommend going here. I bowl there every Sunday and I love it.

I had my 50th birthday party here and everyone on the staff and the owners were so friendly and helpful to us and our guests! The food was excellent and the service was great! All in all, the BEST party experience ever! Would highly recommend adult or kids party here!

I have been having a great time coming here due to the extremely helpful and friendly staff, great game prices and specials, and of course the fact that their bar operates like an actual bar!! Since discovering this alley I have been bringing all my friends and family.

Manager and General Manager are unable to carry a conversation with any person with out speaking over and/or thru someone trying to communicate with them. Very unprofessional and rude. At one time was a good center but would recommend it with them in charge.

Old school alley. A bit crowded and crowded looking inside but theres actually more room than it seems. Bigger snack bar area and separate bar for the adults, pay area with video games for the kids. Mostly natural wood lanes. Good place!

my sons and I bowl there just about every Sunday morning always have a great time. liked the lanes better when they were still wood, just need to work our balls to keep the backend where I like it. always good service no complaints.

they have great group deals! Its clean, organized and comfy. They have a juke box, concessions and a full bar. It wasnt too packed on a Friday night and no wait. The staff was nice plus a game room...overall good time!
