Ive been here 5 times since they opened the new location. 3 out of the 5 times the service has been horrible. They took forever bringing our order. Half the time they were trying to give our order to someone else and vice versa. The food was over heated, I always order boneless wings I couldnt eat them they were so though. Each time you ordered a drink it would take 30mins + to come. Most recently we went and ordered our last drink prior to last call, never got the drink but was charged. Complained to the manager all they could say is Im sorry! By the time they fixed the issue movie was way over. More than half the cinema was standing around pissed waiting for our cards or change to come back. What really set me off was when they tried to give someone else my card. Let me just point out that this last time it wasnt even a full house. I know you must wonder why keep going back? First bad experience the manager came out and explained they were having electrical and water issues in the kitchen. Gave us all a huge sob story which I understood. Second time it was a full house in all theaters I completely understand anxiety can kick in when its crowded, mistakes can happen but the third time the cinema was not at all busy. I blame it on poor training! Lastly I gave it 2 stars because the establishment is very comfortable, beautifully designed! But I wont return until they get their service in order!

I give this cinema 5 stars because they were top-notch in every area! The service was excellent, food was delicious, and the atmosphere was very comfortable and inviting! My husband and I split an order of queso and chips, I had the shrimp tacos, and he had the club sandwich with sweet potato fries. We finished off the movie with a bucket of popcorn and dessert. The food was so good we both agreed we needed to come back and see another movie just to get the food! The service staff was very polite and accommodating, and did an excellent job of bringing out our food in a timely manner. When leaving the our theater section, I was in the process of looking for the bathrooms when 2 very nice employees who were in the foyer asked if we needed directions to the nearest bathrooms. Everyone working there was so polite and hospitable. We almost didnt go to this theater because a few of the reviewers said their experience was so bad. I dont know if the people who wrote bad reviews happened to go on an off night, but we couldnt have asked for a better experience in going out for dinner and a movie. Im so glad we decided to give it a go! We will definitely be coming back again!

The bartender, Jose, was great, but after that it went downhill. The movie was great, but its a little harder to screw that up. Our food came with only 25 minutes left in the movie. Then they brought us someone elses bill. After that our change didnt come until the credits had rolled and the lights were turned on. They really need to hire more staff and train the ones they have better. Each seat is labeled, so its not like the receipt cant say where its for. The only positive besides the bartender is the ability to reserve a seat, something unique for Clear Lake. Update: I went back again for another movie and had the same problems. 50 minutes after I ordered I still hadnt gotten my food. I got there 30 minutes before the movie and ordered right away. We watched as everyone around us, who ordered after us got their food. Finally I had to call someone to ask for my food. When they finally brought it I could tell they had just given me someone elses as they didnt have any of the changes I had made. I asked for no tomato and mayo on the side. These are easy requests, but they werent done. In the future Ill eat ahead of time and just come for the movie.

I used to love this place but it has truly gone down the drain. Staff including managers do not care about anybody except who didnt show up to work. Ordered a water. Took them an HOUR to get to me. Ordered before anyone was even in there. People who arrived afterwards had their food and drink. Asked 3 times for it. Finally got it without the lemons and limes I asked for. Food came out before the previews even started. Got cold because I knew I was going to need a drink with it. Wasnt even my order. I asked no gravy sub honey mustard still got gravy. I write EVERYTHING down on the card so there are no questions. Apparently it "wasnt in the system" and the "drink station is backed up" yet everyone else was getting their stuff. Our first waitress we saw two times. Thats it. Then someone else was our waiter. Everything is over priced and subpar. Shouldnt have moved to the mall. Even the guy next to us didnt get his drink for an hour. Manager was informed and didnt care. Only took off the popcorn which they make for cents. Didnt want other customers hearing my complaints against them even though they should so they are informed as well. I never want to go back.

I want to add to my review that on Monday morning, today, we have tried to contact the corporate offices for star cinema in houston, and they will not take our calls, return our calls, or respond to our emails. My husband and I are professional and we conduct ourselves that way. We are, however, extremely upset by this theaters handling of this situation and are getting increasingly less professional. If this happened to us.....it can happen to you. You wont have any warning, as we did not. Do you want to be treated like a criminal without explanation while you are trying to enjoy an evening out with your family? Avoid this establishment. Avoid purchasing tickets on line. There are plenty of other theaters to see your favorite movie in. I would also like to note....I am a senior citizen. I was with my veteran son, who has an anxiety disorder. We arent trash. We are respectable people. Star cinema grill had a friendswood police officer throw an old lady out of their cinema without even offering an explanation. That is unacceptable behavior in any book. Do you want to spend your hard earned dollars in that type of establishment?

Bought tickets for the 6 p.m. Deadpool showing online for Friday, 2/12. Got my confirmation and arrived at the theater a half hour early and sat in our reserved seats. A few minutes later, another couple came and apparently one of our seats was double booked. No problem, we just switched around so that we were all sitting in the four that we had all reserved. Then someone else comes along, and another of our seats was double booked. At this point, Im already halfway through our meal and management comes over to see what was up. Turns out, the website somehow booked me for 2/13 at 6 p.m., instead of reserving my seats for tonight, as I had clicked on and double checked the date before I made the purchase. So since the website screwed the dates up, my wife and I had to pack up our food and leave the theater, as there were no other seats available together and management didnt seem to care about fixing the issue. I did, however, receive two free passes redeemable anytime except weekend of release. Which is pretty much useless. At least they didnt charge us for the food.
