The one positive thing that I can say about Pinetuck Golf Course is that it is cheap compared with other public courses in the area. On the downside, the pro shop has an odor that seems like a combination of an ashtray and a sweaty locker room. Well, no big deal because were going to be out on the course anyway, right? Well, the course is far from well-maintained. We were warned that the greens are fast. That may be the case if they arent waterlogged. We played at 3:00 in the afternoon on a dry day, and several of the greens were saturated. There were actually muddy areas on a few of the greens because the water had been standing there so long. Some other noticeable neglected areas were that most of the sand traps did not have any sand at all. The tee boxes were completely hacked up without sand in the divots. Tee boxes, greens, and the rough areas were littered with beer cans and cigarette butts. Our golf cart sounded like it was going to fall apart, and made me wonder if it would last through the entire round. The overall course design is fairly nice, but the complete neglect of the course will keep me from ever playing there again. I would rather pay the higher price to play a well maintained course. I have played nicer courses for half the money. I will never play Pinetuck again.

I think its a great golf course. The greens arent in the best shape. Theyre sorta like silly putty but more bumpy. But the layout of the course is really fun for a mid to high handicapper. You can really whack the ball around there without worrying about hitting someones house or going out of bounds on every hole (like most of the courses around Charlotte). For 25-30 bucks, this course is great fun. If youre the type to complain about greens and fairways, go drop 80 dollars on a round somewhere else. This course is for having a good time and enjoying yourself. We played on a Friday afternoon at 4:00 and completed a round in 3.5 hours. You absolutely cannot beat that. The guy that runs the pro shop is a super nice guy as well. Not the nicest course in the world, but it sure is fun.

Good course to make you use different clubs, not just a drive it golf course. The fairways grass is lacking in spots. The greens putt nicely, medium speed. Pricing is lower than most courses in the area. Course is a little off the beaten path, south of Rock Hill. Hole 10 interesting with a lay up to a lake to get to the green.

This course is a gem from the past and not something you see anymore near the cities. Nice people, not busy, forgiving fairways and very inexpensive. Great place to take that extra shot here or there without someone screaming behind you.

The greens are extremely well-watered thats for sure. I played this course on a Friday afternoon late July. It was wide open. I thoroughly enjoyed the course. Great course for the price... $21. Ill definitely play this course again.

If you want to pay too much to play in a cow pasture ran by a bunch of mean old men... Then this course its for you.
