I must say I’m highly disappointed. My problem is that the audience was highly disruptive, laughing, making jokes, loudly talking, adding their own commentary to the movie, and generally carrying on in a manner inappropriate for a movie theatre, especially a setting for a horror/scary movie. I politely asked my server if he could ask them, and by them I mean pockets of people all around the theatre, to please be quiet. He assured me that he would personally talk to the audience members, and have his manager come in as well. This was 45 minutes into the movie. The audience in fact got worse, and more disruptive as the movie progressed. the server later came back and told me he and the manager had talked to the people being loud, and that “they are going to act how they are going to act”. I’m sorry but this is not acceptable. I did not pay to listen to someone’s comedy set, nor did I come to listen to the DVD commentary. So I wanted to make some suggestions. 1. Ask people to be quiet, warn them a second time, and then ask them to leave without a refund. 2. Fire that manager for incompetence. 3. If you are going to tell a customer sorry but we refuse to solve your problem and deliver on the service we paid for, give them a refund. Any of these three could have solved the problem. Now I’m sure the manager didn’t want to upset customers by asking them to behave and follow social norms, which might result in a financial loss. So I applaud her in only losing one customer, me, because I will not be coming back, bringing my friends and family, or planning events there again.

My boyfriend and I decided to meet each other at this Movie Tavern for a nice movie/lunch date before he had to go back work. I gave it a two star rating because: 1) we came in and the man in the ticket counter was not friendly at all. He seemed like he didnt even want to be there. I understand all about customer service but that was not it. 2) it was a quaint room and the screen seemed to be blurred but it was ok when the movie started. But our waiter took forever for us to order a second drink. It came to the point we only wanted water. He told us that we would be assisted with just a push of our coaster button but he didnt arrive until 3/4 of the movie almost over. Im very big into customer service because that is what this business or any business is all based on. But my rating stays. It may seem uncalled for but maybe some improvements in staff would help out this business a lot.

This was our first and last time ever going to the movie tavern. It was a horrible experience!! The theaters do not even have theater seating. They have office chairs lined up in rows that have extremely wobbly tables in front of them. Then we order food from the waitress...that was an experience on its own, but I dont blame her it was only her second day. we get our food and it was disgusting. The fries had cheddar and bacon was so stuck together that when you lifted one, ALL of them came up with the paper!!! The bun on the burger was soggy and gross. I dont even know why the bun would be. We didnt get our drinks until half way through the movie and when we were almost done "eating". We spent over $100 on crappy seating and even more crappy food! Will not go back here ever!!!

Their suggestion is that you get to your movie 30-45 minutes before it starts. I think thats their excuse to give inadequate service. "Oh well, you should have gotten here thirty minutes before your movie. Maybe then your order would have come out alright." Every time we ordered an appetizer, it came out before or after our meal. One time I didnt receive my drink -- a soda -- until ten minutes after my meal had come out. It baffles me how a business complete with the latest technology -- orders placed on PDAs, lighted buttons to request service -- cant do it nearly as well as theaters that do it with pencils and paper, such as The Alamo Drafthouse. We gave this place three chances since we love the concept so much, but after our last horrible experience, enough was enough.

$4.75 for sodas is pretty steep for such a mediocre place. $.50 for butter on the popcorn? Really? The food isnt that good. Some items are just terribly bland. The decent items are just, well, decent. There arent any alternatives in this area, so youre stuck with mediocre if you want a full meal with your movie. Their customer service was solid, very friendly and attentive. The food was sent out in a reasonable amount of time, but they did bring the appetizers and meals out at the same time. Overall, other than the outrageous drink prices and meh food, I would consider giving this place another go if they make some serious changes to their menu.

1st visit, mid week, late show. (due to honeys work schedule). Warmly greeting, immediately followed announcing it was late and the food options were limited! Once sitting and reviewing menu, server had a rush and "ready to get off work" attitude! Hunny wasnt pleased with the food.....ordered sampler ($16.) burgers were cooked too hard. My final straw was the fact that i could hear the movie next to us enough to distract the movie we paid to watch. When i notified the server, he gave us a vague excuse and kept walking! In conclusion, though this tavern is the closest and most convenient to where i live, we will drive the extra distance.

Horrible service & food , when you contact manager or corporate office about old, cold food , letting them know you got sick they tell you no one else complained and they will only refund you for the item you got sick from .. stating you have no claim if a doctor didnt tell you , you had food poisoning.. but you called and told manager after eating the food less than 8 hrs later you had bad cramps, diarea unable to get out of bed for 4 days .. I explained two free passes and one meal voucher they can keep .. building was smelly, dirty, roaches jumping on people .. just not my type of environment.. movie tavern needs to do better..

I went there because I missed my flight and stayed close to this place...I like the idea of ordering food and drinks while watching a movie but the place seemed dirty...the drinks tasted like theyve never cleaned the filters on their soda machines...my girl ordered an Oreo milkshake that tasted like they used tap water to make it...you sit on office chairs to watch the movie ( office chairs? are you serious? Office chairs???) popcorn was beyond salty...did not order food so I dont know about that....customer service was good though...attentive staff...seemed a little dirty....nothing like LA theaters...wouldnt come back

We used to really love coming here when we first moved to Humble in 2009. I went with a friend this past week and it smelled like a locker room. We were both hungry but decided not to order. I had a cocktail and that was all I had. The food is usually good and I like the overall dinner and movie in one combo. Breakfast is terrible and Even my kid doesnt like it. So we dont do the weekend movie with breakfast anymore. Some of the seats are tattered and I really couldnt get past the smell of the theater. I think a heavy duty cleaning and update to decor is long overdue.
