We took our two small children to see a movie there and about 5 minutes before the movie was scheduled to start, the manager of the theater came in and said there was something wrong with the projector and the movie would not be shown. A handful of us (all with small children) were disappointed, but quietly filed out. As we were waiting in line for a refund on our popcorn, imagine our surprise to see a large group of patrons from another movie quickly filing out of their theater and into the room we were just in (with the "broken" projector). After a "discussion" with the manager, the truth came out that the larger group took precedence over our smaller group (all of us who were there with small children). Apparently, telling us a total lie was a reasonable way to save money by not refunding the larger group, but dismissing the small group of families there with their children. It left a very bad taste in my mouth and other than using the one set of free passes that were given to us, I have never been back. The fact that they advertise themselves as family owned and family friendly, yet find it okay to lie to families who are there with their children quite frankly disgusts me.

A nice, cozy theater, with good popcorn, and a clean interior. I will admit that its a slightly older theater, but the projectors seem to be good quality and are still very bright. The seating is also in good shape. Only downside is that their tickets arent sold through Fandango, but Fandango does have the movie times, though. Another thing is that this theater seems to be the only one in Tyler that allows, at least, concealed carry. Yes, they have disallowed open carry with an appropriate 30.007 sign, but concealed carry is SOMETHING when compared to other theaters and their COMPLETE ban. Im sure the people who are interested in knowing this are well aware of Carmike going as far as hiring cops to do searches. All in all, if youre looking for a smaller, more private theater, Id recommend this one.

Manager kicked everybody out of the theater before the ending credit scene of Captain America: Civil War debut Thursday April 5 10:00 showing because it was late & he wanted to go home. I believe we payed for the entire runtime not just until the manager felt like he wanted to go home. After confronting the manager for the disappointed crowd he proceeded to fib to the crowd that there was no more film to be scene (was cut off abruptly mid credits to a crowd wide "aaawwww")Had to go home and watch it on the internet (confirming he had lied). You go to the little guy so that stuff like this wont happen. Think Ill avoid this theatre from now on. Go to the big guys down the road.

I havent been here since they remodeled it years ago, but I have a lot of fond childhood memories of this place. I went to school across the street at Rice elementary, and would save my lunch money, so that I could stop at the theater on my walk home from school and play the arcade games here. And the people there always let me stay and play even though I was only 8 and alone, (it was the 90s) lol, but Because of that I am completely partial and I will always love this place!

My favorite movie theater. They have great monthly specials for food and drinks you can find them on their website. They keep the concession line moving fast so you dont miss your movie. I have been going here as long as I can remember. They are not too big, which means (to me) a more pleasant movie watching experience. I have found Im distracted less by other people in this theater because theres less people making noise (coughing, talking, kids screaming).

Good choice of movies for innocent eyes and ears. Snack bar has child-friendly options. When a movie had some unexpected, unsavory language, within minutes of starting, we walked out and asked for a refund. When my husband explained why, the manager graciously refunded our money. Ez access for handicapped individuals and big, comfy seats help make Times Square Cinema our theater of choice in Tyler.

Good place to go see a movie with the wife and kid. This is usually the only theatre I go to anymore. Pros: Local theatre that keeps money in east Texas. Prices are reasonable. Not full of a bunch of idiot teenagers and loud patrons. Not usually much of a line. Employees are polite. No 30.06 sign. (You know what it is if it matters to you.) Cons: Smaller screen size.

I love the small-town feel love this place. Their prices are usually better than the competition , and they run good specials . I like that they play Christian music, and their bathrooms are very clean. I think that all movie theaters should convert to leather type seating which can be wiped down. It is the one thing that grosses me out everytime I go to a movie.

I have to post a review for these guys! A theater is a theater, under normal circumstances. These folks do a great job of keeping the place clean and in good shape, plus their pricing is good. But, what I appreciate most about them is that they allow concealed carry in their theater! I dont think Ill ever be back to Carmike because they are posted.

Much better prices than Carmike, decent projectors. The place is fairly clean and Ive never had bad service in the decade or so Ive frequented the place. If you go to the movies regularly, consider getting their refillable cups and popcorn tubs. Good value, unless youre like me and you just order a Monster and nachos.

Great Experience. I was so appreciative of them showing a movie that was very kid friendly. My wife and I took our two daughters to see Cinderella. I have heard the management tries to show films that are family friendly. We went to the Matinee and got great prices. Popcorn was good and it didnt cost me a bundle.

You get what you pay for, and we love it. Screens are not fancy or high quality like other theaters in Tyler, but staff is always friendly, prices are better, its small and cozy, less busy and we prefer going to Times Square Im not concerned with a high tech experience, I just want to enjoy a new released movie

There is a really clean cut crowd that attends this establishment. Love watching movies here. Theaters and restrooms are always clean. Snack prices are good and they offer several snack bundles that are appealing. They also offer seasonal cups and buckets for drinks and popcorn with reduced refill costs.

I love this theatre, the staff is friendly and the prices are the best. Plus the summer movies for kids is awesome. Only wish they kept movies little longer for people like me that wait until the movie is about out of the theatres. But overall great family place and date night place.

Always has been my favorite movie theater. Its locally owned and cheaper than the other theaters in town; I can go see a movie with my boyfriend and get popcorn, drinks, and candy for 20 bucks. Everyone has always been very friendly. Plus, they offer discounted tickets for students.

Local theater that is less expensive than the one down the street, and just as high of quality. Only reason I dont give 5/5 is that candy is still a little (a lot) expensive. Would be nice if they had more screens, but Im just being picky now. I would go here over Carmike.
