The theater experience is fair: small theater, unequalized sound, small screen, etc. Lets face it ... you go there to have drinks and better food while enjoying a film. That being said, Ive been to two locations: one in Webster and this one in Missouri City. This is the only location that Ive had inconsistent service. I typically go on a weekday afternoon once a month. I do this because I have a designated driver at that time and my schedule allows it. I love films as they are a gateway for me to just relax and forget about the world. Ive been to Missouri City three times and heard different rules for drinking each time. 1st experience: Ordered beef sliders and was told the order came with three. Ordered a SMALL pitcher of Shiner Bock and was told they had to give me two glasses, okay no problem. Ordered another beer and was told that the maximum allowed was 5 drinks and since a pitcher counted as 4 drinks that would be my last. Okay, no problem. 2nd experience: Ordered the sliders again and was asked how many this time. Ordered a pitcher of Shiner Bock. Then I ordered two more beers (that would be six beers this time). 3rd and FINAL experience: Went to the bar first and ordered one beer. Ordered the sliders again and was asked how many. Ordered a pitcher of shiner and was told that it is not allowed for one person. I obliged and asked for four individual beers then. She was rude and unpleasant. She agreed to bring me one beer at a time until I hit five. She brings me three more beers before the film is over and then tells me the maximum is 4. I obliged, paid my check and left the movie just before the end. On their website FAQS it states," You may order as many times as you wish until last call, which is 30 to 40 minutes before the end of your show." I was under the impression that as a customer I could go there and drink while enjoying my show. Im not talking about getting so inebriated that you cant walk, was just trying to enjoy myself. Being interrupted every time I need another small drink takes away from the movie. Being told what I can and cannot do takes away from the movie. False advertising is what this locations problem is. I go to the Webster location a lot and Ive never had this problem. Most of the time I have five beers and Im good ... I guess thats why I noticed the inconsistency at Missouri City. Take what you like from my opinion, if you just want to enjoy a film go to a real theater like AMC. If you enjoy adult beverages and better food while watching a movie go the Webster Location or the Movie Tavern in Humble those are much better choices. I will not be back to this location as it takes away from the pleasant experience Im trying to have.

Im not really sure what people are complaining about, Star Cinema Grill is just like any other restaurant, there tends to be a wait during a rush and its understandable, glad i have a movie to keep me company while im waiting :) all the staff is polite! the girls at the front are efficient at selling tickets, ive been there when theres no rush and ive been there when the entire red carpet is covered and its never taken me more than maybe 5 minutes to get my tickets. much better than AMC where itll take forever with even the shortest lines. all the theaters are comfortable and spacious, with some being bigger than others (i have a crush on theater 2, 6, and 9!!) one of the girls selling tickets pointed out to me that unlike a regular restaurant that serves roughly 50ish tables at a time, they have several theaters and can be serving well into 1000 tables on busy nights, WOW. TIP: the theaters can tend to get a little chilly because of the white leather seats so just dress warm or bring a blanket from home! my personal favorites on the menu are the 3 amigos appetizer combo (southwest eggrolls are YUM), the chipotle wrap (delicious!!!), the chicken run sandwich (i always get this grilled and cali style, the bacon there is to die for), and ALL the pizzas (i need to get my hands on the secret ingredient in the crust! nom nom nom). ALWAYS opt for a brownie a la mode :) its too yummy to pass up. Ive had my fair share of slow service BUT its always been understandable and servers come to let me know my food is on the way! after the movie the restroom never has a ridiculously long wait like AMC and its always clean unlike AMC. i hate public restrooms but i dont mind the ones at star, very sanitary! almost forgot, NO BABIES! they dont allow kids under 3 in at any time, so that means no added sound effects during my movies :) oh and no one under 18 is allowed in without their parents- ive had enough of sitting behind middle schoolers at AMC that werent actually watching the movie...if you catch my drift overall its a great place to watch a movie and have a meal, ill definitely be coming back forever! $6 movies on tues/thur!! great deal!! talk about heaven on highway 6

Me and my husband went to star cinema grill in missouri city on highway 6 for the first time tonight, and at first we were having a good time it was very nice when we walked in and we eventually found seating in the second theater, and sat down and ordered our food, I ordered chicken fingers and my husband got a burger. About an hour later my husband started to feel sick and had to get up twice during the movie he had diarrhea and after the second time he just stayed out in the hall way watching the movie because he was afraid he would have to go back to the restroom, he had diarrhea three times and when the movie was over he almost passed out because he was very dizzy. My husband and I spoke to one of the managers who was very rude and tried to insult us, and was insinuating that my husband was feeling this way because of the long island iced tea that he had and I even tasted it and it was not strong at all and my husband was not drunk who could get drunk from a crappy weak drink like that anyway. My husband had food poisoning about 6 years ago so he knows what it feels like and the manager was trying to play it down and act like it was the drink or something not related to star cinema grill he was very rude! He refunded my husbands meal and gave us two free passes to try and make up for it but I do not think we will go back, and if we ever went back we would never order food there ever again! The quality of the food was poor they need to work on making their food better and first of all fresh and they need to cook it 100%! I found it weird that our food came out so fast and my husband had a burger! My husband almost passed out from having so much diarrhea and all the manager wanted to do was blame it on the long island iced tea, and say he got sick from somewhere else and according to his experience he had never seen anyone get food poisoning that fast before but my husband had food poisoning 6 years ago he is not stupid he knows how it feels! I do not like the way the manager talked to my husband who was very sick! I seriously doubt we will ever go back!
