Dan the Computer Man

Airways is a municipal course adjacent to the Fresno Yosemite International Airport. The green fees are less than $25 to walk. The fairways are spotty at best, but a new well has just been drilled and a new irrigation plan is in the works. This will hopefully make the fairways nice and plush. The greens, however, are in excellent condition. Id guess theyre about a 9 on the stimp after the morning dew has evaporated. Its a short course where a 230-250 yard drive off the tee on most part 4s will put a short iron or wedge in your hand for a shot at the green. Lots of trees keep things interesting if your drive goes astray. No water or fairway bunkers in play at this course. Plenty of greenside bunkers protect most greens. Overall a fun, short par 69 course with minimal penalties for errant shots, mediocre fairways (for now) and excellent, true greens.

Not much to say about the course. Small greens, short Par 69 thats easy to walk. But WATCH OUT for the area. Tweekers and Crackheads lay in wake for you to tee off knowing that you will be on the course far away for hours. In the meantime they are vandalizing and breaking in vehicles. So this Par 69 cost me about $700 to play. The staff seemed to think it was amusing that we got ripped off. Apparently this happens frequently. So until they decide to care about their clients by either installing cameras or hiring security, we will not be back.

Feels like old-school Fresno when you golf here and thats what makes it special. It has its challenging holes, too (3, 6, 8, 9, 10, 14, 18). Great pricing keeps me coming back when I need to jump back into the swing, need to tune up or just want to get in a quick, no hassel round. Long live Airways Golf Club.

The greens are ok but the rest of the course sucks! Too much dead grass, lumpy fairways, crevices that lead to bad lies to bad shots. The plus side is cheap prices on golfnow, food decent. Pro shop is ok and staff are mostly friendly.

Instead of green fees they should charge brown fees. Seriously, I think I have more green grass in my front yard. My grass is also probably taken care of better too. Not worth it. I wouldnt play here again even if it was free.

Short but fun, this course sees quite a few rounds per year and it shows. Nickname is freeways... you must learn how to hit low irons from under trees to play well. Greens are small but flat.

Great local course. Drought has made all courses brown in between fairways, but the greens here look great. Just hosted a tournament and the staff and cost were both awesome.

Warning **** Airways has changed management and they are charging like the nicer courses in Fresno. $36 for midweek is outrageous for this level of course.

Forgot about airways for a while. My group enjoyed ourselves on the patio after we finished - Seems like some improvements have taken place.

Great course swimming pool with BBQ s life guards on duty Olympic Pool with boards .very nice close to airport .

We went all the way over there in the heat to swim and the pool was empty.. Extremely disappointed!!!!

Great place to play 18 holes for cheap. Some of the clientele need a lesson in golf educate.
