Ive been going to this theater on and off for the last 7 years. No particular reason for the "off" times, just chose to see a movie somewhere else. Ive always been pleased with the overall movie going experience here, but never really thought that it stood out as being particularly amazing. Recently, my girlfriend and I have started trying to make more time for movie nights, and we came here out of habit and convenience more than anything. I dont recall the movie that we were there to see, but what made that evening memorable was the staff. I was politely joking around with several of the younger staff, who politely humored me without the usual teenage attitude. What really stood out was when I approached several of the managers, and playfully asked for a little bit of special treatment. When the manager took my request (which was small and relatively insignificant,) completely serious, and then followed through by fulfilling my request, he made a very loyal customer out of me. I was already inclined to patronize this theater, but now it is an imperative when its movie time. Since that day, we have seen the same very accommodating manager on several occasions, and he has always greeted us with a friendly smile and he has taken the time to stop and have at least a brief conversation with us. It may not mean much to the average person, but having spent the better part of my adult life working in customer service, I recognize and appreciate the little bit of extra effort to go above and beyond to make a customer happy. I cant comment much on the actual theaters; Im usually too engrossed in the film that Im watching to notice if the seats recline or not. Also not a big concessions guy, so I cant comment on the superior/inferior quality of the popcorn. What I do know is that I enjoy being at this theater, without having a great explanation as to why. Its always been a comfortable cinematic experience for me. If Im going to a movie in the Katy area, you can be sure that Ill be going here, even if it costs a little bit more to do so.

I used to love this theater. The seats lean back, the armrests are sturdy enough to hold the GIANT drink we always order, the popcorn was my favorite. But now they changed the vendor of their "butter" or something and it now just tastes like straight soybean oil. I am one of those people that goes for the popcorn. If I dont care to see the movie we picked, well at least the snacks are good. But not anymore! The first time I tasted this new butter, I gagged. It wasnt warm yet and it was like eating vegetable oil with a spoon. It even had a disgusting plastic-y smell. They replaced my popcorn happily (no butter? Whats the point!) and I figured maybe I was crazy or it was because it was old or not warm yet. The next time I went, I had forgotten and ordered it again. Ugh. Disgusting. I cant handle it. Otherwise..its about average as far as the service and cleanliness goes. As with any theater, it is staffed mostly with high school kids who sometimes dont know anything about good customer service. I may be ridiculous but since changing their butter, I now choose to go to AMC which is dirtier, the popcorn is burnt, the food takes forever to be made, the armrests sag with the weight of the drinks, and the chairs dont have any give at all. Bummer.

La sala de cine es buena. Pero el personal que nos atendio en general se burlaron de mi y mi familia y amigos por que nuestro ingles es malo. A penas aprendemos ingles. Somos hispanos. Y el trato fue humillante y racista. No solo se burlo de nosotros quien nos atendio en cima de esto llamo a sus compañeros y cada uno se burlo de nosotros. Muy racistas. Muy caro. Y en cima un calor insoportable. No lo revomiendo ni en lo minimo. Lo primero que debe hacer la sala de cine es contratar al menos una persina bilingue. O al menos personal con mas educacion.

This was my first time going and i can say Ill probably never be back. The only reason they deserve 1 star is because i did like the reclining seat. The first thing i was upset about was when i went to the theater food section with my family to get food their fryer was out of service for the night. We got 2 personal size pizzas and a cheeseburger. That was 25.00 and it wasnt even worth it. I couldnt even get bacon on it because the fryer was out. Who puts bacon in a deep fryer?!?! My boyfriend got nachos (they give you a bag of chips, a can of cheese, and a cup of jalapenos) and a soda for 10.00! We got to our seat and there was trash in the cup holders and popcorn in the seat! Then as my boyfriend sat down to prepare his own nachos, he found out the jalapeno juice was leaking from the cup all over his shorts! We watched the movie because we already paid for it and we really wanted to see it but this place is way overpriced for the experience i just had. Oh and the usher was on the phone every time i went out there.

Ever heard of air conditioning?!! It was in the 80s in there, I know because when we got outside the theatre it was 82 (car thermometer) and it felt cooler vs inside even though it was more humid out, wow! And this is not the first time here btw, thats why I wrote this. Worst of all my wife nearly went into labor & we had to leave early, it was so bad for her. Shouldve complained but this review should be more effective. I understand a/c goes out sometimes, but several times over past year? and we dont see movies that often so how many times does it really break? At least if its too cold we can put on a jacket, when its too hot you cant take off clothes. Also poor sound in standard theatres and very dirty, plus unfriendly staff. Honestly this stuff doesnt bother me much, but you people have my wife to satisfy so one star is worthy, lets hope shell want to even come back here not last straw.

Cinemark 19 is about giving the consumer the full movie experience, offering ease in purchasing tickets with on-line as well as convenient kiosk usage. This location has friendly staff, clean facilities, ample parking, extensive movie times for viewing, and an enormous selection of snacks and drink options. Cinemark 19 gives you the best and brightest total movie experience, with larger screens, luxury lounge seating as well as the RealD 3D, and Cinemark XD movie experience. I like this location because it has an Arcade for the kids. Also, they give discounted tickets to the Military with proof of service i.e. Military ID. If you want to have a total movie experience then Cinemark 19 has it all for you and your family.

Favorite theatre, I always drive out a good 30minutes to watch my movies here with the family but if you go to see a movie during opening week & your seats are taken then thats your own fault I guess. We had our seats taken, & an assistant was nice enough to provide us guest passes. We tried to redeem the passes at a later date only to find out theyre not valid & had to pay full price for the tickets! Thats $11.75 a ticket + $2 reservation fee for five of us total. Will have to relocate only because after I brought up my concern to a manager I was put on hold for over 25minutes& now when I try to reach back to them theyre constantly ignoring my request to speak with a manager. I simply wanted an update.
