I am in town on a small tour and was looking for a park to spend some time in before my gig this evening. The park here is really well kept. The kids seemed to be having a blast and there are tables and benches for parents to rest on while the kids play. The Sweetgrass Pavillion ladies were very friendly and informative about the baskets they were weaving and the detail in their work was really nice. One of the ladies spoke with me about the technique and materials used to make the baskets, an art form handed down from generations of weaving which she learned from her grandmother. The walk to the end of the pier and back was beautiful. The day I was in town it was overcast so it was not very busy. A few fisherman lines the pier as I walked to the end. There are many spots to sit with tables or benches and even some bench swings along the walk. At the end of the pier and even just past the cafe you can see the aircraft carrier that is part of the maritime museum right down the road from here. I visited that the last time I was in town and enjoyed it too. The bathroom by the Sweetgrass Pavillion was very clean and well kept. Someone mentioned the fountains not working but they were when I was here. There is a war memorial here as well with a fountain and statue. A bird was bathing in the fountain whike I was taking in the sites here and reading the dedications on the walls. Noise wise, you can hear the traffic overhead crossing the bridge but I guess it just did not bother me. This park and the pier h ab e my full appreciation. Being on the road and having checked out at 11am with no real spot to light, I was really happy to find this spot, finish up a book I was reading and explore.

Happened upon this place on a small road trip from North Myrtle Beach to Savannah - A wonderfully cared for park area with kids playground (that was very busy!) and great fishing pier with shady places to stop if the sun gets too much, with a touching Forces memorial for a few minutes quiet contemplation. Being very close to the Arthur Ravenel, Jr bridge doesnt detract from watching the river or marshes - Its own architecture proving a point of interest, too. If youre a local I bet you visit regularly, if youre passing through, its a great place to break your journey. An absolute delight to fall upon accidentally.

New and well maintained park. More child friendly for ages 4/5 and up, does have a separate play area for younger kids. The other 2 structures are for ages 5 and older due to sides without railings, so must keep an eye on younger ones to make sure they do not wander to those. On the pier there is a bait shop that sells ice cream and milkshakes so that is an added bonus.

Im here at least once a week if not more. You cant beat the view and the area is really pedestrian friendly. You can walk along the pier, take the short cut to walk the bridge or meander the area around Patriots Point. The park has a really nice playground for kids, a food/knick knack shop, and excellent public restrooms, too.

One of the best places in Charleston! Ive been here for many events (WEZL Party in the Park, Shagging on the Cooper, movies in the park, etc). Always a fun, relaxing experience. I have photographed many gorgeous sunsets here. Great place for a stroll, bike ride, picnic, fishing at any hour.

Absolutely, hands down one of my favorite places in Mt. Pleasant is the Pier. The views are amazing and very photogenic! My kids love the park out front and my husband enjoys fishing here. You have to get on the beautifully handcrafted swings on the pier to just take in all the beauty.

I love this place! Its great for kids and weddings and fishing off of the pier, it closes at 11pm though for you night owls. Also you can catch many unique Pokemon at this location, I believe there are at least five poke stops there and a gym :)

The pier is excellent (Ive reviewed it separately) and the park is not to be missed. Free parking except during special events, a large, fenced childrens play area with swings, slides, and other fun. Open spaces are great for small gatherings.

This is a well-maintained park with a beautiful water fountain that the kids can play in. The waterfront park stretches for several blocks, with multiple fountains and grassy courtyards, perfect for relaxing or running around and playing.

Great playground, it is cool in the Charleston summer. It has a rubber base to protect kids when they fall. Grandkids rate it as their favorite. They can fish from pier, they host events on large lawn, music ,dancing, and even weddings.

We love visiting here when the weather is nice. Its such a great park (and pier) and its free! :) Nice to bring the dog sometimes too - but no dogs on the pier. The also do movie nights in the summer. Definitely worth checking it out.

A huge playground, plenty of walking, and even appear! This is one of the best Pokemon go spots in the area. Not a lot of shade during hot days, however. Also, since it is underneath the Cooper River Bridge there can be a bit of noise

One of my favorite places in Mt. Pleasant. Great views of the Downtown Charleston and the Charleston Harbor. Wonderful partially shaded playground for the kids. Also, provides access the Cooper River Bridge (short walk).

Its good family fun... like anything else it would better if parents would control their kids a bit better. Clean bathrooms, clean playground limited close parking but plenty of adequate parking with a slight walk.

Parc pas très grand sous le pont un peu bruyant. Les pontons en bois à travers les marais sont fermés

The family and I tried to go here at least once a week to walk to the park is a very nice walk and then you get to walk to the pier which is never disappointing and currently it is a huge hotspot for Pokemon go

Nice playground for the kids, huge field to throw balls, there is a long pier to fish from with a gift shop and cold drinks. The only problem are the gnats, they are horrible and anywhere there is shade!

Fishing & viewing pier! Parking in the shade. Modern childrens playground. Public antique car shows! Walk, run, or bike the Ravenel Bridge (the largest cable-stay bridge in North America) from here!

This is a really beautiful park but just saying, this is one of the best areas to catch Pokémon in the Charleston area. 4 pokestops right next to each other. I caught 40-50 Pokémon in an hour or so.
