Unfortunately, we had an incident of vandalism to our vehicle in their parking lot. We brought it to the attention of the manager, who instead of helping us, suggested that they dont have enough security to handle the problems they encounter on $5 Tuesdays. He stated that he would contact me the next day, and suggested we should come another night instead of Tuesdays from now on. I emailed Marcus Corporate customer service and was given an automated response stating that they care about my experience and I would be contacted in a few days by someone from customer service. It has been over a month, and no one from Corporate or Chicago Heights Cinema has ever attempted to reach me. It is disappointing. Their new Dreamlounger seating and online ordering, along with their Marcus Preferred Discount Card seemed to be some great ideas for the theater, but without good customer service, they are losing business like mine. And yes, their bathrooms and soda fountains are disgusting, and some of their concession employees are slow and rude, just like several others have stated. It all comes back to customer service. I really hope someone from their staff would contact me. I would rather give them 5 stars, if they could resolve my problem, and change how they are doing business. Update: It has now been 6 weeks since the incident and still no one has contacted me from either Chicago Heights Cinema or Marcus Theaters. I have gotten plenty of automated emails advertising their movies and especially the $5 Tuesdays that the manager suggested we dont go to. But, not a single phone call or email. Very Disappointing.

Bravo to Marcus Theater on the recent renovation. Ive always preferred to drive to Chicago Heights rather than Orland. However, the one major issue I have with the Chicago Heights Cinema is the management. It doesnt matter how many times this location completes a renovation. What does matter is that they take the time and effort to maintain the improvements! It wasnt that long ago that Marcus CHC renovated with a large addition to the building. When that was completed they also sectioned off an entire room for Connies Pizza that was a flop... or at least was closed with little business. The maintenance of this establishment must be a top priority if they hope to keep this new renovation in good condition! Management needs to take extra time to "teach" their crew to pay attention to cleanliness! The rest rooms are already filthy; pop/beverage counter is so sticky and slippery I got my coat soaked from the wet surface; one little sign on the floor does not mean the patrons wont slip and fall on the sticky wet floor; the pop lids and salt all over the counter is not a pretty sight to see; pop corn trails on the brand new carpeting needs to be cleared on a constant schedule! Get a renovation on the management and this location could be a nice money maker! Im ready to step in and assist! I do need a full-time job! Seriously!

This was our second time coming to Marcus in the last month. We decided to stay in our own neighborhood instead of constantly driving to Orland Park. The Renovation is beautiful but the management as well as the security is extremely poor in class and quality. We came out with 8 people to enjoy an evening at the movies. To make a long story short. The security decided to harass our son and Family for no reason. He was extremely rude and disrespectful. Even complaining to the manager Mike didnt help. It was pathetic and distasteful. His problem solving skills prompted him to say he couldnt help because he wasnt there. Talking about useless and worthless. While the renovation is lovely. The management and security will instantly ruin great paying customers like us until they hire experienced qualified management and officers who know how to be security instead of trying to be security. Then maybe they should hire better managers. Maybe he was afraid to stand up to the customer because he was afraid of this rude security officer. Just from my observations. GO TO ORLAND IF YOU WANT A SAFE EXPERIENCE! I felt unsafe with my family!

Some people write reviews after bad experiences or judge a facility that they dont visit regularly. I happen to visit this theatre once a week and have been doing so since they started 5$ Tuesdays. Not all of my visits have been positive, Ive witnessed the long lines for tickets, the kiosk that hard to work or doesnt in most occasions, the crying babies, people in wrong seats & nearly all of the same complaints that others have written. But I must say, this is by far one of the best theatres that I have had the pleasure of attending & I have attended theatres all over the world. If you know a movie is popular stop being lazy & triffling, take your butt up their early to buy your ticket or buy it online. If someone is in your seat, go get mgmt to correct the problem., they always correct the problem. If youre not satisfied with your food take it back, its not fine dining, this is unhealthy theatre food & you know it before you order. And if you dont like being around your people go somewhere else. This is Chicago Heights not not Hoffman Estates!

I was publicly humiliated by being told I cant have my baby at the movies with me and had the police called on me. I had to go through 2 employees who saw my baby and allowed me in and the movie was an hour in before they said this. My child was not causing a disturbance or crying. They claim this their company policy but obviously the employees dont know this. Also it is not stated anywhere when purchasing my tickets online or on my phone. The manager lied and said someone complained about my baby making noise. She was sleep so could not make noise of any kind that would disturb the movie. I have brought her with me several times to r rated films and NEVER had this told to me or never have I been treated like this. Total discrimination.

Renovation is beautiful, seats arent wide enough. Since the renovation standing in long lines since kiosk never works properly, our group is never together they always say no seats available then once were in the movie its always extra seating. Please remove numbers for seating. The ladies bathroom are filthy which is no fault of your facility but to keep it clean have someone scheduled to clean at all times. The concession lines please hire more staffing. Keep your business in very good quality and quantity your business will survive. Spend money to make money.

I visited this cinema once and was disappointed from first sight.I neighborhood looks rough, Small and dirty lot. The lobby was filthy. Ive never in life seen a filthy movie theater lobby. The tables in the eating area were literally falling apart and lopsided. We were sitting our food on the table so we could organize our napkins and our coats and I swear the tables tops were wobbling sideways and we had to hold our food with one hand. Service was extremely slow and no smiles at the indoor restaurant at all. wont be getting our money again. The movie was great.
