Ok so when you go to the Strand you need to know a couple things... The place is a hundred years old. This is not some state of the art joint. What it IS however is an AWESOME piece of Kutztowns history and a place to see the latest films on the cheap. The two viewing rooms are small. The screens arent large. The sound quality isnt crazy. The seats are creaky. But theyve got the movies and theyve got the snacks. As long as I live in Kutztown I will go to the Kutztown Strand to see the occasional film or two.

It is classic, great sound, wood floors, old fixtures, great prices, and a home town feel ($5 admission, $1 drinks, $1.50 popcorn). The seats are awful, though, but for 1/3 the price of Saucon Valley in Allentown or the new theatre in Reading I can put up with creaky chairs.

A Private User

In desperate need of a renovation. Only has 2 theatres which limits the amount and quality of shows it gets there. The place is dirty and your feet stick to the floor and the seats are not very comfortable.

Very small theatre. Picture is very good, sound and seats are so so. They always have open seating. You cannot beat the price! $5.00. Also, movies ALWAYS start right on time.

Great prices for movies and snacks. They have first run movies and I enjoy taking the kids to movies here without having to spend a lot of money.

It was so fab, the prices were low, the food was pretty decent and it is definately my go to movie theater next time a good film comes out
