Played the course on Friday, May 6. The round took us six hours and twenty minutes. Yes you read that correctly, six hours and twenty minutes. There was a group ahead of us that apparently was from a company in town for the Kentucky Derby. They had, I believe four groups total, they completely tied up the entire course. At one green they were posing for pictures while three groups waited on the tee for them to clear, unbelievable. Complained to the ranger who stated he told them to skip a hole and they told the ranger they would speed up. He should have tossed them off the course. After the ordeal was over we complained to the person in the pro shop who looked to be just out of high school, as the course pro was not at the course. Our complaints were met with indifference. We suggested a rain check for nine holes of golf and was told "if I do that for you I will have to do that for everyone". As we were leaving one of the young men taking care of the carts told us that group had played there several times during the week and it was always the same thing, slow round that took six hours, so the course knew of the problem but didnt care to address the problem. Doubt that I will ever play the course again, I am not going to waste my money on a course that has such poor customer service. The least they could have done was offer us a sleeve of golf balls. Truly an unbelievable and torturous experience. My lasting memory will be the 18th tee box, one group on the green having a picture taken, one group in the middle of the fairway, and four groups on the tee box just waiting.

My wife and I were on our way back from Georgia to Michigan and are always looking for golf courses to play while traveling came across Heritage Hill. What a gold mind we found here. The staff is unbelievably friendly and helpful. The course is even more unbelievable. Every hole is awesome with no tricks and what you see is what you get. There are no blind shots and entire course is just simply awesome. It opened in 07 and the greens need some more maturing but that is easy to overlook because the course is great. We played it on a Saturday and stayed the night in a nearby hotel so we could play it again. Definitely will be back and encourage anyone that wants to play a beautiful layout that is fair and yet challenging to give it a try. My wife and I are both single digit handicaps and had a blast at this new public course. To bad its not closer to home but its so much fun to play that when we have cold Michigan winter that a 55 day in KY is worth the drive to play. Have fun playing!!!!! Thanks to all the staff for a fun two days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I played this course on Friday, May 6. The course was beautiful and well-maintained but the experience was miserable. The round took 6 1/2 hours to play which, for a course of this quality, is outrageous. There were several groups (4 to 6) on the course from a foreign country that were all related to each other. They were accompanied by a young man flying a drone and a photographer who took pictures of players on the greens after completing several of the holes. This group was, apparently, having some sort of tournament and held up play on every hole. The ranger passed us several times and said that this group had been on the course every day of the week and conducted themselves the same way and that there was nothing the course could do about it. Upon completing the round, we went to the clubhouse and complained but were informed that they were sorry but there was nothing they could do. We were made to feel like the bad guys for having complained. The experience was MISERABLE.

Fun layout, but thats the only positive from my round yesterday. For the price I was not satisfied with the conditions. The greens were slow and riddled with check marks that no one seems to know how to repair. The pins had not been move in quit some time, so there were tons of spike marks all around the hole which made putting a shot in the dark. Fairways could have been mowed, the zoysia grass was 1" to 2" tall in some areas. Sand traps were a disgrace. Our group decided early on to play them as ground under repair. For all the hype Ive read and comparison to other "equal" level public courses around Louisville, For my first trip to this course, I doubt Ill seek out t times to play here in the future.

I CANNOT TELL YOU HOW ECSTATIC I WAS WHEN I PULLED UP TO THE PARKING LOT. I AM A 3 HANDICAP AND LIVE IN LEXINGTON KY. I AM WRITING IN CAPS BECAUSE THIS COURSE DESERVES IT. I HAVE PLAYED JUST ABOUT EVERY COURSE IN KY INCLUDING VALHALLA AND THIS COURSE FOR THE MONEY IS EVERY BIT AS NICE AS VALHALLA. I BOOKED A TEE TIME ON GOLF NOW FOR 24$. THE FAIRWAYS WERE CUT LIKE A PGA COURSE ALL THE BUNKERS WERE CUT PERFECTLY AROUND THE EDGES. IMMACULATE WILL MAKE THE DRIVE AGAIN AND AGAIN UNTIL I MOVE TOO FAR AWAY. TAKE MY ADVICE AND PLAY THERE EVEN IF YOU HAVE TO DRIVE 2 HOURS. THIS IS BY FAR THE NICEST PUBLIC COURSE I HAVE PLAYED ON IN MY LIFE AND DEFINITELY IS NICER THAN ANY COURSE IN KENTUCKY. A MUST PLAY A++++

Great course. First time playing. Challenging but not so hard you cant enjoy it. Fairways and green are exactly how they should be. Greens roll true and fast. Customer service is great too. From the cart girl to the pro shop, everyone was very friendly and helpful. Has a putting/chipping and driving range. Beautiful landscape and scenery on the holes you will not be let down. Will definitely be back. The only reason I have 4 stars instead of 5 is they dont have gps. They have plenty of yardage markers but for that price range you would think they would have that but overall love the course and service.

One of my favorite courses in the louisville area. Only reason I only give four stars is I do think the upkeep, especially the bunkers, has gone slightly downhill. Greens have far too many pitch marks in them and since it is a public course, apparently no one knows how to fix them. Aside from those things, the course is always in inaccurate shape. Lots of elevation changes, some good dog legs, and one of the best par 3s in the state. Also- number 18 is possibly the best view in KY golf.

As good as it gets for a public course. The greens were consistent, the fairways were manicured and the tee boxes were like carpet. This course is deceptive. It seems easy in many spots, but if your tee shot is offline, your ball will be lost in the weeds. I love this course!

Love the staff, taken care of our future golfers. Golf camp this week! Learning respect, of the one who is getting ready to hit, not stand in someones line or cast a shadow and integrity. Leaving the coarse better than we found it. Repairing the divots. Filling holes with sand.
