First review: Convenient, friendly staff, needs a little upkeep, but usually clean. Best if you can see a film in one of the larger theaters. We had stopped in to see a fairly new release recently and the bulb in the projector was clearly going out (couldnt see any details on faces, very dim picture, blacks were crushed, kind of a halo around the whole picture, etc), we ended up walking out before the movie really got going to notify the manager, who graciously appologized and gave us some complimentary tickets. If equipment was checked more frequently, it would have been clear the bulb was nearly out before it got to that point...I felt bad for the folks that stuck it out. Other than that minor inconvenience, we have had only positive experiences here. (***update below****) Yes, going to the movies has become outrageously expensive (for 2 of us, we typically pay close to $40 after evening tickets, 1 large coke and a popcorn), but for some movies we feel its worth it to experience the big screen. We are much more choosey about which movies we attend though. This theater is an nice option in Orange Beach/gulf shores. ******** Update 12/18/16: just attempted again to go see a new release. Popped into 2 different theaters due to issues (both different theaters than the one referenced above). In both options the convergence was out (meaning the colors were not aligned and you could clearly see red/green haze lines around images and letters, which also makes the total image out of focus). Youd have to not care to miss it...or just not know why it didnt look quite right and accept it as how it is even though it looked really crappy. Both pictures were dim/dingy looking (which could be the bulb going out, lens and/or screen needing cleaning), the second one had horizontal lines going up the screen throughout the previews...we didnt stay for the movie since the coming attractions werent showing us anything more promising in image quality. One image was worse than the other, but both were unacceptable/unenjoyable. The manager, Nick, was very kind but unable to correct the problem right then other than to offer yet another different theater to try. We simply couldnt enjoy the movie looking like that, and it appeared that all of them were misaligned, so we left. Whats fun about watching a large, fuzzy, dim, image? Whats really frustrating is theres absolutely no reason for it. This is their business. Those projectors are highly capable of producing amazing image quality if dialed in properly and maintained. I know just based on our own small home projector and the calibration done to it how incredible the viewing experience can be. The whole point of going to the theatre (especially with the prices now) is to get a high quality, large screen image and sound that you cant get at home...this location needs someone who knows how to properly calibrate the projector in each theater and who regularly checks on it. Theres just no reason for this. Interactions with staff have always been good, but all the great customer service in the world isnt going to keep people coming with consistently poor image quality experiences--because thats point of coming. For the cost/recent experiences of going to this Carmike, we get much better viewing at home on our small projector screen without the frustration. Please get someone to regularly calibrate your projectors!!! That would be SO great!! Its just not worth coming if you cant watch something that looks better than what you can at home. I dont care how large the screen is; if its not a sharp and vivid picture, its a waste of time and money.

Just like the review from Rob C, I went on a rainy day. I simply cant fathom why management would have only one line for tickets and concessions. I decided to wait in a very long line that went out the door. About 10-15 minutes went by and a worker from behind the concession counter announces that he will open up to sell tickets only. So what happens...all of the people in the back of the line went to the front. I was within the roped queue at this point so I couldnt quickly switch lines. Not only that, I would then lose my place to get concessions. The line was quite slow and the movie I wanted to see had started, so I went to switch lines. However as I started moving over another announcement was made and all the newly arrived people in the back of the line were able get ahead of me. I am rather PISSED now! I am in management professionally and this is BEYOND AWFUL!! Faced with a long line to just to get concessions and refills, I decided to leave and go to the theatre down the road. WAKE UP MANAGEMENT, GET A SEPARATE LINE FOR TICKETS, your current system sucks.

Concession Prices are a little high, but what movie theater isnt. Overall cheap movie matinee prices for one adult. They tend too keep some movies longer then others. Which is nice. Since, I tend to wait a week, or two, or three to catch certain films. Overall decent budget Theater, if you went their when it was a Rave Motion Picture, thats all it is now with a Carmike Logo on it. Enjoyed the self serve Coke Fountain machines. Easier and more convenient then dealing with a cashier when you buy their "LARGE" in this case NASCAR Cup.

Today, 4-14-2017, Good Friday, I called customer service and was spoken to so crudely that I hung up after saying a word I wouldnt ordinarily say. I will NEVER go back here, and I have taken my son to see over 20 movies here since he was born in 2010. Show times arent even listed on Google. The time I called was 12.45 pm or so. Take your business to COBB in GULF SHORES.

Lines were configured in a way that kept patrons waiting outside in the rain. I almost reconfigured the que myself I felt so bad for them. Had to wait in one line to buy drinks and in a second line to fill it myself. No separate line to buy tickets if you did not want refreshments. Theater itself smelled strongly of mold or mildew. Overall a disappointing experience.

Thursday openings. Yay. Word to the wise. I have a theory. Every movie I see where I try to eat a health snack and water the movie stinks. I.E Batman V Superman and Apocalypse. However, if I eat all the yummy junk the movie is wonderful. Civil War, Deadpool all wonderful even if I left with some added weight

This is a really clean, up-to-date, movie theater. The place seems to almost run itself! Not to mention that its located in a really cool shopping area! I went out with the guys here and I am coming back with my girl once she visits here. Not too far from Pensacola for a night out!

Very nice, new and clean cinema. Yes concession prices are a little more than most places. Popcorn was really good. Just a hint, Tuesday is cheapest price day and also everyday from 4-5:30 its only $5.50 per person. Take advantage of that
