UPDATE: ALL OF THE "4 STAR" REVIEWS AFTER ALL THE POOR RATINGS, ARE FAKE REVIEWS! PLEASE, PLEASE DO YOUR HOMEWORK ON THIS PLACE! PLEASE READ ALL OF MY REVIEW BEFORE YOU CONTACT THIS POORLY OPERATED, N-RIGGED HALL!! First let me say, everything from here on that I type is 100% true!! I found this place through Google search two months ago and was highly impressed by the pictures on their site. So after my sister and I calling several times to set an appointment to see venue, the owner, a black heavy set younger woman( who is the owner along with her husband) FINALLY answered the phone and scheduled a time. Mind you, I live out of state and had to fly in to look at this and other venues as well. I went to other venues in Hialeah, that are Spanish owned/operated and very professional, had their business in order and actually has someone in the venue office during business hours. But oh nooooo!!! I wanted to support a Black owned business. So we arrived at Ballroom Events Banquet Hall; The front windows which are tinted were FILTHY, with hand prints and residue and so was the outside concrete walls. The floor is a dingy black concrete, I ask what happened to the wood floors from the site, she claimed a customer messed it up..... Really? Um okay. The white chairs are not solid white, they to are dingy and the white had faded off just about all of them! I asked her what happened to the chairs? She claimed they spray paint the chairs white after each event is over to keep them up. Why would you even schedule a viewing with your equipment/furniture looking like a hot mess? But she assured my sister and I that everything would be ready by the day of. Needless to say, I was apprehensive about moving forward and my gut kept saying dont do it. But I liked the lighting and we needed that for our theme. So on July 14, 2016 I called, yet again no answer and the VM full, so I text and she replied hours later and said call tomorrow to meet up for payment. I explained I was not in town and she never replied back. So like a dummy, I called again the next day and no answer! This time able to leave a message. She finally called back. I told her I was out of town and need to do another method to pay deposit. She suggested PayPal and told me to text her my email and she would send over invoice. I did......... That was July 15, 2016 and it is now August 8, 2016 and Im still waiting on the PayPal invoice!! This company, if I can call it that is VERY POORLY RAN!! Her attitude sucks, she is NOT professional and doesnt know the first thing about Business Management or customer service! Its damn near impossible to make contact with them, wtf???!! This place needs to be shut down! It wont be around long. Unless her and her husband get their act together, the word will continue to spread all over Miami Dade, about how fraudulent they are!! Needless to say, we took our deposit and $1,000 plus to the Cubans in Hialeah and were treated way better and closed on the deal!! And black people wonder why Cubans are taking over Miami? Because of scum black business owners like this! Please take your business elsewhere and dont walk, but RUN WITH YOUR MONEY TO THE CUBANS OR WHITES! The good reviews on here were more than likely made up by the owner, because anyone can create a Google account. I will continue to spread the word. You(the potential customer)have been warned! And I hope the owners are reading this; SHAME ON YOU!!! YOU DONT DO POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS LIKE THAT!!
I went with my friend to check out a banquet hall for her baby shower. Once I realized it was the same place one of my other friends had an event AND it was black owned business I told her to use the facility. Unfortunately, Ballroom Events Banquet Hall is NOT what its portrayed to be. From ignoring phone calls prior to the event, to having a DIRTY floor, to snapping on the customer when she called about an issue that was going on with THEIR facility, to the horrible customer service. Contract did say the event had to be over by a certain time, it did say to leave certain things behind and it did mention keeping the surrounding areas clean. The customer being there to make sure everything was good and not damaged shouldnt count as leaving "late" ESPECIALLY if you the business owner arrive and say NOTHING. As far as outside, if there was anything on the floor I PERSONALLY picked it up. You walking through a parking lot that is shared with over 6 other businesses to pick up "trash" is ridiculous and an over exaggeration. Nonetheless, if the contract says that the deposit would be returned in 24 hours, either deposit or some form of communication should have taken place. Emailing a customer 10 days later is unprofessional and rude. In most businesses, referrals make your business. And guess what, they just lost a ton load of more customers!! I regret encouraging my friend to use this business because it ultimately ruined the night behind the scenes. As a BLACK business owner myself, the last thing I want to hear is someone saying they hate doing business with black people. But when things like this happen I can understand why. I take pride in taking care of any customer, even if its just $1. Idk what they did to get that $1 and theyre giving it to me? Weve got to do better! I recommend contacting Exec-u-sist for phone services and customer service assistance. And I pray that going forward none of your customers have to go through what we went through.

I want to thank the staff of this Ballroom Events Banquet Hall, and most of all the Manager/ Event planner Shella, for such a wonderful support and making my event so special and unique beautiful. I celebrated my engagement party and it was a dream come true, everything turned out outstanding and their customer service was superb from the waiters to the bartender, the photographer and DJ. I would recommended this place to anyone. Before My Event Shella went over the contract word by word and help me, giving me,wonderful ideas to make my event affordable and beautiful.having professional people that takes care of everything and not having to worry is the best feeling. This place is amazing. Anyone planning an event should check it out.
Words arent enough for Jean and I to express how thankful we are to have met such a professional, proficient and inviting business owner. The reason weve selected Banquet Hall for our baby shower is because of the professionalism of Mrs. Shell she was always readily available either by phone or face to face. The hall accompanied all of our quests, the day and time weve selected was perfect and accommodated to us and our guest, the parking was not issue at all. I will definitely recommend Banquet Hall to family and friends. Thank you so much for exceptional customer service. Youve gained yourself a long time client.
I was very pleased with this venue, everything was perfect! The owners are supper nice.! The vision i had for my all white 40th birthday party came to life when i walked in the room i was in aww!!! it was so beautiful and i knew then that i had found the perfect venue for my party! It was so beautiful that i booked for another event! Trust me you will not be disappointed! Book your next event with #ballroomevents!
