Beautiful, amazing, elegant, luxurious, tasteful, fantastic, were just a few of the words I kept hearing our guests use to describe Separk this past Saturday night for our daughters wedding reception. When we first met with the owner, Shannon, a year ago, we had no idea our event would turn out so perfect. She carefully explained the entire process and the documents that we signed were very thorough and left nothing undefined. She was very easy to communicate with when we had questions. The best thing she did for us was suggest one of her day of coordinators (DOC). It was truly a delight to work with our DOC Brittanie as well as Holly and their other staff members. We were a little different in that we were having our ceremony at a church 25 miles away, so we were not on site the day of to finalize all of the tiny details. Brittanie called ALL vendors at least twice to insure they knew what to do, when to do it, and where to do it. We took to SUV loads of decorations and props over the day before and reviewed with Brittanie approximately where we would like it placed. We were a little worried that it wouldnt be just like we wanted but we were so wrong. She text us pictures on our way over and they were perfect. When we arrived it was as if our daughter had been transported into the dream she had had on many occasions. The best part about working with Separk and their staff was that my wife and I got to enjoy the event. We let Brittanie worry about what was going on behind the scenes and we spent time with our guests and enjoying the night. We had an absolute blast and would not change a single thing if we were doing it again this weekend. My friends know that I am one to try and pinch pennies, but for this event we hired the best caterer, the best florist, the best photographer, the best baker, and we had the event at the best location in the Charlotte area. I spent way too much money and blew the budget that I swore we would keep, but we created so many good memories this past weekend it was all worth it! You only get one opportunity to do your daughters wedding right, and Separk helped us surpass our expectations. Cheers Yall!!!

We had our wedding on July 18, 2015 at Separk Mansion. From the moment we walked through the doors, we knew Separk was the perfect venue for our wedding. The mansion is absolutely gorgeous, from the sleek hardwood floors to the many chandeliers hanging. We used the upstairs area of Separk for our ceremony. Beautifully set up, with a gorgeous antique fireplace as a focal point, the space allowed for a very intimate, personal feel for the ceremony. The reception was held downstairs and the space allowed for our guests to dance the night away. Working with Shannon was a pleasure. She responded quickly to e-mails and calls and made sure we had the wedding of our dreams. Also, we worked with Erin, who assisted us on the day of the wedding and took care of every detail. We received so many compliments on the wedding and we believe Separk Mansion is the main reason for that! We highly recommend using Separk Mansion for a wedding. It was magical.

Separk was dream come true! I honestly can say our wedding/reception was magical and flowed smooth and perfect all thanks to our lovely wedding coordinators that you use through the venue. The staff had everything set up nicely, were there to help us with anything we needed or forgot the day of the wedding. Our coordinators did a wonderful job of organizing the whole day, making sure things ran on time, interacting with our other vendors and working together as well and dealing with my sometimes crazy family. Also the venue it self is absolutely stunning, with tons of space for guests and is very well kept! I cannot express how happy I am with this venue and making me and my husbands day so perfect! The venue is beautiful as you can see from the website. The lady at the mansion, (Shannon) is amazing and will help you with anything and she is very flexible. She will help your wedding come together and she is very encouraging. She has a lot of offer to you with the venue. The mansion works with every theme of the year because it has very neutral colors in the mansion. And we did a summer wedding and we were able to make the most beautiful wedding with the garden and having the beautiful ballroom. And there is alot of great pictures you can take around the mansion too. I couldnt have imagined having my wedding anywhere else than the Separk Mansion.

A beautiful/simple pleace for a wedding... My Brothers wedding was in this beautiful venue and he had great plans for the occasion but everything went down when he was in a car accident when he was on his way there... because of thathe was about 1:30 hours late.. (he rented the venue for 3 hours) so he had to take his pictures in 30 min and we where only allowed to have a 15-20 min reception because of his delay... I explained to them about his accident but it seem like they didnt care so we had to make everything in a hurry with a 15-20 min reception...It was beautiful but i feel like we didnt enjoy it

Our daughter was married at Separk Mansion August 1, 2015. The venue is absolutely beautiful with classic elegance inside and out. The ceremony was in the garden which has a very secluded feel even though it is in the city. The reception was held inside under the beautiful sparkling chandeliers and grand staircase which made for some gorgeous pictures. The bridal suite was awesome! Shannon, Tim & Erin were wonderful to work with and were very attentive to our needs. This beautiful venue made our daughters wedding day a very memorable experience and dream come true!

My sisters wedding was at Separk a week ago. It was an an absolutely gorgeous wedding outdoors and the reception was held inside for 150 people. Shannon (the owner) was extremely helpful and worked well with our budget. The only advice I would give to a bride wanting to have her wedding at Separk, make sure you read all of the venue contracts so you will know exactly what you need to do to prepare for your wedding day. It is a N.C. historical landmark, so certain rules apply. Separk is a very elegant venue and we were very pleased with the wedding and reception.

Separk was the perfect venue for my wedding! Everyone at Separk worked well with my vendors and did everything they could to make my day perfect. I used the outdoor garden for my ceremony and converted the space at night for a late night Smores bar. The inside of the house is restored to perfection and just wait until you see the bridal suite! We did have a few issues with the bar staff running out of product and a large water puddle around the bar, but it wasnt a big enough problem to keep me from recommending Separk to everyone!

Separk Mansion is a spectacular venue and made our wedding more perfect than I could have imagined. Tim and Shannon Clark were great to work with and have restored this property beautifully! In my search for a venue to have the ceremony and reception together, Separk Mansion exceeded all my criteria. If you think it is gorgeous in pictures then you must see it in person. I strongly recommend Separk Mansion if youre getting married and planning a wedding. Its second to none! Book early because Im positive dates will go quickly!
