Great addition to the neighborhood! I love how you can purchase your tickets online and select what seat you want. Seating is better than a regular theater in that the chairs are nicer and bigger, you have more leg room, and there are less seats in general. Theres also a bar, so you have the option of getting there early if you want a few drinks (though the bar may not be open if youre there for a matinee). After showing your ticket (you can print it out or just show your phone), youll be casually escorted to your theater if its not super busy. The screens arent super large, but since the theaters arent accommodating for row, upon row, upon row, they dont need to be. Staff is generally enthusiastic, which Ive also noticed at the E Street location too. When the bar area is busy and the theater area is busy, it gets a little too cheek to jowl, but a small price to pay for a theater in the neighborhood. Having said that, it does seem like the front area should be reappraised and potentially redesigned as the flow of it can cause congestion. Should be interesting when Filmfest DC rolls around.

Very clean, modern, updated and diverse movie selections. Within walking distance in my neighborhood which is a plus, and convenient if you want to catch a movie, dinner, drinks and dance the night away with your significant other or friends while visiting the U.ST area. Best time for me to go is during the weekdays to catch a matinee, or if you simply want to miss the crowds. Weekends and nights are too fun because of the energetic and lively atmosphere near the theater. Always clean and courteous staff to assist. Bar offers good selection of spirits, beers, cocktails but can get backed up if crowded. Small bites/appetizers to snack on before and during the movie, best of all you can take your items in to the movie as well. I love that you can reserve your seats well in advance, and there are several movie/screening rooms, all with plenty of leg and arm room. If I had once issue it would be that the seats do not recline, bummer :( but its still worth it.

This is a very intimate movie theatre. Its upscaled with decent priced tickfets. I believe all showings before 6 pm are matinee priced which for them is $6. There is a dining area where you can partake in some laughter, adult beverages and american finger foods. They also have the typical movie theatre snacks (Popcorn, Soda, Candy). The cinema area reminds me of a college setting which maybe sits about 30 people. They may be able to show about 4 movies at a time. They show movies that you may have missed in major theatres and more recent films. The staff was very polite from the female who offered me water at the bar to attendant who took my ticket stub. They have multiple kiosk for you to purchase your ticket. If my memory serves me correctly I believe you go to the concession stand to purchase you ticket with cash.

Ive been to this theater just once (its pretty new), and loved it. Ive always liked this building from afar, but ultimately this provides a great movie experience right in the city. The seats are comfortable and I like that you reserve your exact seat so you dont have to worry about snagging seats together. Its clean and provides a nice boutique experience. The theaters are small, so Im sure they sell out - and there are only a few movie options, but they were all good ones. They show the previews/trailers on screens in the bar/lounge, along with a countdown timer to when you can get seated in your theater. Having a bar/lounge, as well as bar concessions, is genius - and drinks were not marked up much higher than you would otherwise expect to see them in the city.

Weve been twice. The first time we encountered the reserved seating system we had shown up about 10 minutes before showtime and our party could not sit together. The second time we had bought tickets on-line and we picked where we wanted to sit. That second time was a fun time. I was able to get one of the specialty drinks from the bar (which doesnt open until 5PM) and sit in the big comfy chairs. Because I have a hatred in my heart for people who whip out their phones during the movie, I really appreciate the little chat before the movie. We dont go to the theater often because of cell phone addicts, and the speech so far seems to help. When the speech stops working, well just have to go back to Netflix.

Great for the DC locals that want to catch a movie, have a drink and an upgraded snack from your typical movie popcorn. The seats do not recline but are comfortable. The theaters are small and intimate which adds to the cozy feel. Great for a date or to hangout with friends. Looking forward to going back for happy hour. A fantastic movie theater. From the moment you step in the atmosphere of this theater is different from others in the area. The decor is really well done and the ambiance sets it apart for showing just mainstream movies. The bar is always going to be a nice addition and the fact that it is possible to take the drinks inside to watch the movie is great. The prices are relatively cheaper then other theaters so thats a plus.

The good: the location and reserved seating. The bad: the popcorn/candy counter is always out of something and usually more than one thing. The ugly: they really need to sort out their climate control. I dont know if it shuts off at a certain time or what but twice now when going to see a late show the theater gets uncomfortably hot at some point after the film starts.

Great theaters, comfy seats, bar and very loud, busy lobby. Patio seating for bar and small eats. A must for summer time. Street is very busy, with line from 930 wrapping around bars and clubs patios and concert venue next door more like an entertainment district. Great theater all together. 13$ tickets.

Cool theater - reserve your seats when you buy tickets. Full bar, expanding list of movies. Looks like Landmark is finally getting licences for some of the more mainstream movies in DC (nice for me since I live close, not great for the independent filmmakers who are already losing ground here).

Very cool cinema close to U St. Brand new. All they have is small theatres with VERY comfortable seats. Not specially busy: Ive been alone in the theater a couple of times.Tickets are between $10-$13 depending on the hour. They have a bar with lots of drinks, little bit overpriced.

Good screens, great location, comfy chairs. I love the premium concessions, including good cocktails, wine, and beer. Its a quick walk for me, which is a major plus. The fact that it caters to a higher-end audience has thus far eliminated crying babies or loud talking.

Small theater with restaurant and bar. All theaters have assigned, stadium style, super comfortable seating. The front bar area is great for a drink before (or during the movie). Fun cocktail list and nice atmosphere. Definitely a better way to do movies.

cute theater. the theaters are small and you pick your specific seat. if you show up and buy tickets there, its sometimes hard to get seats next to people... so buy them in advance. also, i dont like that you have to pay for soda water from the tap.
