Turning Stone was once great. Wonderful for an evening get away. You could play all night. Ive been going to Turning Stone for almost 13 years, since I turned 18. The first game I ever played was Wheres Henry? I was 18, won $20, and there was no place in the world better. That has changed. You cant play all night anymore. If you lose, its within minutes of arrival, as the machines are so much faster, and the cost is much more and the wins are much less than the initial bet. Before even if you lost everything, you still played all night and had a great time. Now, you lose fast, you never win. Ive never won at Bingo. In fact, its hard for me to get people to go to Bingo with me, as nobody ever wins. In 13 years Ive never won at Bingo, until last night. I spend quite a bit of money everytime I go, get a manageable amount of cards. The pick a pet is a crazy pyramid. The design is a full line on any side, the next line has the middle 3, and the free space makes the top, creating a pyramid, if u will. My bingo was created in one of my inner cards, in the middle, on the right side, so difficult to see, as it wasnt a traditional pattern and it was created on the side, rather up or down. I had 4 sheets, so 12 cards. These are specials that are extra. 4 sheets cost you $32. One of the most messed up rules at Turningstone is that to have a valid Bingo.... you have to call Bingo on the current number in play. So for example, if G56 is called, and creates your Bingo, you have to call Bingo before the next number is called. So if you arent quick enough, and the caller reads the next ball, even though your card has a valid Bingo, you are not eligible to receive the prize. I know this rule, Ive been going to Bingo for 13 years, of course I know this rule. I never agreed with this rule, in fact earlier in the evening it happened to another, and I even said out loud, gosh I hate that rule. Well the first time I "win" at Turning Stone Bingo, this happens. And its the pick a pet, so if they let me win, it doesnt hurt or effect anyone in the room, because this game has multiple winners. Still not a valid Bingo. Ok, I get it, I understand. However, Ive been so discouraged about Turning Stone, that last time I drove up, I contacted customer service on their website and relayed my frustrations about how it just isnt fun anymore. And thats just one screwed up rule, you also cannot have anyone else mark your card while you are away at the bathroom. So if it isnt intermission, you are not able to use the rest room, for if you do, you cant catch your card back up, as they read very fast, and if someone else marks one spot for you, your bingo is not valid. Be aware of these rules before you go to Bingo here. So last night, I wasnt arguing to the fact I lost, i know their house rules of the game. But I did want credit for money spent. Good customer service is about making peoples experiences well worth a good review, return trips, loyalty. Youve lost all of that with me. Johana, your Bingo supervisor, didnt care. She possesses no customer service skills. I told her several times, hey, look. I m disappointed, I know Ive lost, all Im asking is that Bingo be on the house tonight, because my first time winning, is actually a loss. Doesnt care, says no. Says she will have someone call me, but like previous to the contact us guest satisfaction email I sent, nobody is going to call me. Theres no customer service here. Throwing me $40 in Bingo Bucks would have gone a long way. It didnt happen. Its said when a person has a negative customer service experience they tell 10 people, well here... as many as will read. Ive verbally told 3, and texted 1 so far. Apparently the business from me, my family, my friends isnt valuable. Del Lago is almost completed, and is a 15 minute drive from my house. When a big threat is moving up the road, threatening all your business West of Syracuse, wouldnt customer service be a top priority? I would seriously be thinking about that.

Bottom line they dont pay back enough they dont allow you to recycle your money gambling is supposed to be fun you know you put a $100 dollars in a slot machine at turning stone and its gone in about 5 minutes Ive been going there for about 22 years now once a week and Ive only hit one signer thats pretty sad in all that time really I think its funny how they can pay one guy $9000 dollars and a nother woman $30,000 dollars and my guess is that woman will most likely leave with about 95% of that money turning stone will be lucky to even get $5000 dollars back from her and that will be in about 25 years before they get that now Im a gambler I go once a week I guess all Im trying to say is dont forget about the people who made you who you are today and maybe start spreading the wealth a little I also hate how they seem to hide the pay back percentage of there slot machines and it swear ever time you hit that max bet button its like the slot machine shuts right down I dont even know why they have them buttons if they dont work but really I wish New York opened a casino right next door to them maybe then things would get better I know you dont win playing slots but you should get lucky every once and a while I think there should be a law on how much money they can steel from us with out ever really paying some of it back they say its totally random on who wins and who loses they say we dont keep track of whos playing what but I think if thats the case then why are there different card levels and why can you ask for you win loss for tax reasons also why is it that the only people who win are the people who spend really big money there they dont keep track my ass the little guys are the people you want keep happy because with out them you can kiss your ass good by turning stone so start spreading the wealth or us little guys are going to start going to other casinos thats right your not the only casino in New York now and I know I want to go ware I sometimes win some money so for the last time spread the wealth

We visit many casino resorts around the country and rarely do I leave a negative review after one visit, but we were sadly disappointed here. When booking the room it was not clear which amenities went with which hotel (they have 3 on site and 1 down the road). We choose the tower because it seemed like it would be a little nicer than the hotel and it was central to everything. The lodge was off to the side connected by a walkway and cost $100 more. The tower is supposed to have great views - we had the parking garage and roof view. The bed and pillows were uncomfortable and the room was really small. The stone shower smelled like mold and they have removed all the mini-fridges from the rooms so there was no place to keep our leftovers. The spa that has the steam and sauna is at the lodge and is a very long walk to get there, if you can find the way because there are no signs. When I got there I was told they couldnt let me have a day pass (for which I was going to pay $35) because they didnt have room. This was a Tuesday morning at 9:30. They have to reserve their space for the lodge guests. Had I known this I may have stayed at the lodge. The Italian restaurant was great and had the best lasagna, and the bell staff was very nice and helpful. We didnt get to try the steakhouse because they are closed Monday and Tuesday. The poker room was good and the casino average. I would recommend trying the lodge if you want to stay here, or just come to eat or play and dont bother staying (unless they give you a comp). We feel like we spent way to much for a cheap hotel room and left with a sore neck and back.
