Years of wine tasting around the US being in a touring band finally brought us to center Iowa. To my surprise, we ran into the best we have encountered in thousands of miles. House grown grapes, and simply the best sweet selection you can imagine was only topped off by a killer port and the last minute suggestion by the man of the hour Ron, "Do you like spice and flavor?" To which my friend and I responded "Does a grape love to be smashed??". The piece de resistance was an entourage of cooking wines (Which were awesomely drinkable) including, Jalapeño, Garlic, Rosemary, and Onion among others. Dont leave without trying them all. Of all the places we have been, there wasnt a bad one in the house (and we sampled over 12). Left with a case (+3) and will fly back soon (from Chicago). Did I mention they were the nicest knowledgeable people we have ever encountered in out travels?

They have over 30 different wines, all of which are delicious! There is definitely a flavor to suit your interests; I recommend the apple pie wine (its a mixture of apple and cinnamon wines), the kind of thing you wont get anywhere else. LVL is located on a beautiful plot of land and the owners are sweethearts! We will be returning very soon!

Tony and Susan are great people and they have a huge variety of wine and cooking wines. There is also a nice reception hall for parties, weddings and special events.
