Atmosphere screams "squeeze you for every penny." As most theaters post, the Lyceum also has signage noting that no outside food or beverages are to be brought inside the theater, "including bottled water." I saw more "you cant do this!" signs than I saw movie posters. Theyre also really ridiculous about the 3D glasses, with notes on the theater doors explaining that if you take your 3D glasses, it is punishable as a crime by law. Seriously? This place is not family oriented, its no different than any of the other big theaters trying to squeeze you for all youve got. This below par theater isnt anything to write home about.

Great neighborhood theater. Discount movie books save even more money than their already low fees. Im irked someone wrote "atmosphere is squeeze you for every penny". I dont buy much concession stuff at any theater. Theirs is more "reasonably" priced than most. And one time I just wanted to try a few candied almonds, didnt want to buy a whole bag, from the loose candy. I got six of them and the cashier said "thats all? dont worry about it, no charge. Not a "squeeze every penny" experience at all.

We bring our family to the Lyceum all the time and drive past the Regal Cinemas at the HV Mall. This is one of the few affordable movie theaters left. We always purchase the 10 pack of tickets for $49 and can use them for any movie except the 3D movies (you only have to pay $2 more). If you live across the river, they will give you a coupon for $1 to use at the concessions (it makes up for having to pay the toll for the bridge).

Theaters are small but not usually very busy so finding a seat is not a problem. The drinks and popcorn are very reasonably priced. And they use real butter on their popcorn instead of the processed crap. Tickets are cheap. Seats are extremely comfortable. I live about 40-45 minutes away from this theater and still make the drive to see a movie. It is my favorite theater in the area.

It is so fun! Some screens are little, but sound systems are fine. You cannot beat it for $5. Same owner as Hyde Park theater but Hyde Park is a little dingy. Red Hook location is just perfect for a family movie theater. I just with they had some movies starting at 8. During week, movies generally start at 6 and 9 range (a little early and a little late for people with little kids).

An easy access local theater with ample parking close to the theater, located on a road with a minimum of traffic. Admission is a fraction of the prices of the giant multi-theaters.. Friendly employees, clean restrooms and reasonable refreshments....what more can you ask for in a movie house? P.S: As a bonus theres great ice cream parlor nearby.

This movie theater is the best every time. I once went to the regal theater to see Mocking jay pt.2, and they literally cancelled it and replaced it with star wars. The concession stand is priced reasonably and you dont have to bring your life savings with you if you dont buy candy somewhere else. Overall, this theater gets a 10/10 in my book.

This place is great. Is a small complex with small theaters. Never too crowded. Prices are very reasonable for movies and concession stand. 3d movies too. They do a good job theyre. I pay a toll to go across a bridge to go there because its still cheaper, more relaxed, and a small business.

cant imagine what the single stars are about. The people are nice, the theatre and bathrooms are clean and has some newer seating. food is what every theatre has and what they survive on. Book of 10 tx is 49$,thats 4.90 a show, cant beat that (3D slighter higher)

I went to go see Avatar at the Hudson Valley Mall and they did not have the 3-D. I went to the Lyceum Cinemas in Red Hook and saw it twice. The digital effects were amazing and the price for the 3-D was the same or less that the 2-D price for the mall.

This theater is our #1 choice always because we r a family of 5 and it gets pricy especially when u add concessions. But not only are they affordable but they offer free refills on a drink and popcorn when u buy a large!! I highly recommend this place

Nice theaters, you get much more than you pay for here. My wife and I can go to a matinee, but popcorn and a drink for under $20. For that price the screens and seats dont have to be the latest and greatest to enjoy a show. Highly recommend.

Tickets are not expensive. There are Tuesday night and matinee special. The snacks are a good price n plenty to choose . All the big name movies come right away. There is local advertising to sit through in the beginning.

Large theaters. VERY affordable movies. Insulation not so good, can sometimes hear the movie playing in the next theater. Few staff in the afternoon, arrive early to avoid the line. But for the price, you cant beat it!

This is a great theater for families and friends. I go here all the time with my friends and family. It is a great local theater that is not expensive at all. Matinees are $4 and regular movies after 300 vary from age.

If you want an affordable movie experience this is the place to go. Mainstream movies at an affordable rate took my family of 5 for $25 possibly plus tax. With popcorn and a drink it was like $35! What an amazing deal!

Sometimes, the movie selection is limited by the owners politics and prejudices, as is made clear on their Facebook page. Thats his choice, but it is strange to see in action. Is "Get Out" really worth boycotting?

Best movie theatre Ive been to. The seats are comfortable. The ticket prices for 2D and 3D are inexpensive. Concessions are reasonably priced. Cheaper than regal, while still a locally owned business.

Went to see Avatar 3D and 20 minutes into the movie they had problems that no one knew how to fix. Freaking ridiculous. Then they would not refund us our money. I will never go there again.

Small screen, funny smell. Left before the movie even started. Take note of the ABSOLUTELY NO REFUNDS placard by the cash register. Extremely disappointed, will not return.

The tickets here are really cheap, and there are discounted tickets on Tuesdays. Its a small theater, but usually has all the same movies as the larger theaters.

If you are in the area and want to go to the movies, I suggest going here. The prices are reasonable compared to some of the other movie theaters in the area.

One of the best theaters around. Good parking, seating, limited ads, and fair prices all around. This theater is much better than the regals around.
