Worst experience in a movie theater..... better off traveling to Forest Ave or Hylan Blvd Regal theaters.... or off SI..... Friday night the theater is filled with kids age 10 and above... running thru theaters and disrupting others.... AN R rated movie was filled with 12-17 year-old "children" and the staff that work there appear to be very young and inexperienced to handle the obnoxious children... Staff actually pranced around the theater while the movie was playing yelling at kids to shut up..... the theater was non stop talking and laughing ..... Maybe its the type of kids that come from this neighborhood ...who knows... No wonder the theater charges $2.50 less than most theaters.... its a horrible time..... This is the second time we had this experience at The Atrium... there wont be a third and I will make sure everyone I know avoids it !

I took my family and pre bought tickets 4 days before. When we got to the theater there was NO parking. Not even outside by the side streets. We were still late 15 mins due to the parking nonsense. I go up to the snack bar and this ditzy girl stares at me like Im an alien. I give her my order. As she slams the popcorn bucket on counter ..a mound of popcorn goes flying off the top. She picks it up with her bare hands and places it back in bucket. Sticks her finger in the cheese of the nacho tray and SUCKS HER FINGER CLEAN! I look at her with a surprised look and she responds with a WHAT?? I refused to pay for that. The guy at the front ticket seat looks like some Gambino henchman. Ill never go back here. Ill be going back to AMC in Edison. Or Franks in Bayonne.

This was my first time here in years and it has had substantial upgrades, they have recliner seats that allowed you to put your legs up and recline to almost be laying down. It was very comfortable. It did significantly cut down on the number of seats per theater though, it didnt matter when I went on a Sunday night. I would be interested to see how they handle premiers...Not sure if every theater is upgraded either or if it was just the one I went too. Also the numbers on the seats are slightly unclear...Either way I will be going back.

Its a little cramped compared to larger theaters, but you cant beat the price for tickets and concessions, and for me location. Screens arent huge, but are sufficient, sound is good too. I would say that its more than fine for any movie except some of the more sound and picture intensive Blockbusters. . It also looks like it may have been one of the smaller Regal or UA theatres at one point, as the coloring of the flooring and signage looks similar.

Nice, smaller theater. The seats are comfortable, leg room is pretty good and its less than a 10 minute drive from my house. Getting to the Regal 16-plex takes at least half an hour. Hell, I can even jump on a city bus and get there (the Atrium) in 20 minutes in a pinch. The only reason I took off one star is that as one other reviewer mentioned they dont always get every new movie that comes out. Fortunately it doesnt really happen that often.

My family and I have never been to this theater before so we thought wed give it a try. I had tickets to see Beauty and the Beast today at the 3:00 show. We arrived at 2:15 and could never find parking, not even on the street. By 3:05 I gave up and went to a different theater. Due to the no refund policy, I am now out $64.00. We will not return to this theater for fear we will run into the same issue again. What a disappointment.

I give this 4 stars because the person in the front booth seems to always have a bad day but I just appreciate that after late hours, they dont allow young people because Im getting sick of watching movies at theaters due to crying babies... I just dont get why I would pay money when I could get a much quieter environment. Also, usually crying babies are in rated R movies so obviously they will cry from being terrified.

My family sat down after getting 3 bottles of water which cost 12$!!, and after we got settled we heard out of nowhere "Bomb has been planted" from someone in the middle of the movie (freaked my toddler out), then someone shouted "Allah Akbar" and we ran out the emergency exit. It was a bad scene eventually cops came and the movie "Kung Fu Panda 3" turned into a living nightmare.

Truly a great theater, comfortable seating, clean and well maintained auditoriums and the snacks never taste badly. Its the next easiest theater to get to on the island besides Hylan plaza of course. Also, they do birthday parties apparently. Unfortunately you dont get free drink/popcorn refills like with AMC and Regal, but at least things arent likely to taste bad.

Overall the Atrium is a really nice family theatre as our family uses the theatre regularly. I am actually dissappointed with the fact that they reduced the sizes of their popcorn buckets and kept the price the same. Its almost like Mike Bloomberg is attacking the popcorn sizes. They should adopt the free refill bucket policy that Regal Cinemas uses.

This movie theater used to be kind of bottom of the barrel. Over the last several years it has blossomed into the only movie theater I will go to. The theaters are kept impeccably clean. The popcorn is fresh. They have a new policy that has cut down on the total chaos that was a hundred unsupervised teenagers. Id give it 6 stars if I could.

Teenage kids work here and as a teenage ground, arent the sweetest. Like 5-6 guys swarmed the theater I was in to clean it after the movie .... and I was the only customer in the theater! Could use some professionalism. I like the facility though. Big and roomy and the "luxury" theaters have leather recliners :). Place is a bit overpriced

Ladies room is not kept clean. Seats are old and uncomfortable. Edited 11/2016-- The Atrium has recently updated some theaters to cinema suite seating with reclining seats. The cost has increased, but you are guaranteeing a reserved seat. On my recent visit, the ladies room was a bit cleaner, but not renovated to modern as it should be.

This is my go to movie theater, mainly because its the closest to me but whatever. Its usually pretty clean, movies look and sound great, popcorn always tastes fresh and yeah thats pretty much it. Only problem with it is the obnoxious middle schoolers there on the weekends but thats not the Atriums fault.

A prefer this movie theater than the UA Stadium theaters. Its clean and not as crowded. The concession staff is friendly. The audio and video is very good. The parking lot is poor. Many drivers scramble to grab a spot at the expense of pedestrians. Otherwise its the best local movie theater.

Theater itself is functionally fine, but a little dirty. Staff is inefficient; underage children are allowed into R movies, kids and teens talk during movies and cause disruption. Staff needs to address this issue, and monitor theaters. I prefer other cinemas for this reason.

Horrible. Watching the movie was nearly impossible due to tweens sitting in front of us taking pictures with their cell phones and somehow one of their shoes was kicked behind them and into my daughter. This is not the first time Ive had an experience like this here.
