Family friendly in every way. We took our 5yr. old (just over the 42"height restriction), and our 5mo. old. This meant a lot of sitting with the 5mo. old and a lot of doing with our 5 yr. old! Suffice to say, we need to have the best of both worlds, comfy seating with fabulous people watching, and enough to leave a 5yr. old sound asleep by 7pm after a days worth of non stop go go go ! Top line, Splashdown Beach is small enough to feel that one days worth of visit is money well spent, but big enough with a vast breadth of age range appeal to really deliver value for money. Not that its expensive, more on that shortly. This is one of the best water parks and family days out Ive been to in ages. Clean, lots and lots of front line staff and lifeguards, well run, massive amounts of space with lots of options on seating covering loungers, beach areas, umbrellas and shaded areas, and great food options. Cost, not a lot considering the spread of entertainment. Same applies for food, a good selection of inexpensive options, from traditional BBQd dogs and burgers to salads etc. all coming in under $10 per head. For kids under the 42" ride height threshold for some of the wilder wet rides there are still plentiful options. There were a lot of smaller slides, themed areas and fun stuff to do. Basically general messing around in water areas with spray cannons, mini slides, geysers etc, all with the room for parents to get involved or watch from a safe distance. Life guards were plentiful every where we went, not only giving a bit of piece of mind that you have some back up, they also did a great job of preventing older / bigger kids over the height threshold spoiling the smaller ones fun / play. Yes, there is a lot of whistle peeping but Id rather have that than upset little ones. For kids over 42", (including big kids aka adults having way too much fun), the park has an enormous pull for the entire day. Lots of water slide rides with varying level of white knuckle thrills, mainly exciting but not overwhelming for me and my mini me 5 yr old. Every ride was well staffed and controlled, resulting in minimum queuing. I also felt that there were no gangs of kids roaming around. There were lots of camp groups but the traditional mid teen, attitude fueled, gob shite spitters were refreshingly conspicuous in their absence. The single thing that really caught my families attention was how well maintained and cared for the park is. Normally these water parks verge on being tatty at best, and dangerous at worst, but Splashdown Beach looks like it was opened yesterday. Everything felt and looked new or in pristine condition. We saw zero litter bar one piece of gum which was in the process of being cleaned up, and two dropped ice cream cones, that had a staff member standing over them waiting for a clean up crew to arrive. Seriously, it felt like park inspection day such was the level of attention to keeping areas clean and safe. It was really nice to see this. The park was busy, but given the layout there was always seating, with all the rides spread out over a well landscaped and beautifully maintained space. It sometimes looked like half of the 5 NY boroughs were visiting, yet never felt over crowded. In summary, we loved our day out and would highly recommend Splashdown as a great family wide day out which doesnt hurt your pocket and leaves you and your little gang satiated. Enjoy.

I bought a season pass in order to take our daughter to swim after camp several times per week. Without advance warning, a bus load of ultra-orthodox Jewish female students took over the park so that those of us who have season passes were unable to use what we paid for. We were told we could not enter the park that evening. Now my child is hysterically crying because the one of the few days we picked her up from camp early, she cant swim because ultra-orthodox Jewish females believe that they cannot look at other people wearing swimsuits, and had to have the park all to themselves. If this "event" happened once, it will surely happen again. This female field trip was complete nonsense, and its no reason for a park to break their promise, fiduciary responsibility to their regular paying customers by shutting them out because of this self-excluding, judgmental groups beliefs. No, I am not antisemitic - I am a practicing Jew myself, and I have lived a whole happy life among diverse cultures without being punished by the power upstairs. Just because a group chooses to seclude itself from others does not mean this business should condone this activity and shut out other paying customers. This is shameful, and we will not be buying season passes again.

Today on July , 22, 2017 my family and I came to Splash Down Beach . We all had our good experiences. After 2 hour drive I though where are we of couse I didnt say to keep the surprise going. We paid to use lockers cramming six people"s stuff in two large lockers .After we got our belongings to get there we went on the Humunga Half -Pipe the next corse of action was to go the monster wave pool. After waiting for wave it was somewhat disappointing but it only mattered that my little sister had fun. Next my aunt and I went on the arctic plunge as go down the slide with blue water that reflects from the skies splashing my faces still cracks me up.From that point in we knew it was time to eat. When we got to the cafeteria it was slightly chilly but still had food that taste like Chef Anne from food network and the had good pricing for food. After let are food digest we went Arctic Mammoth another ride that grabbed my attention after the ride I did six laps on the Croc Creek Wavy Lazy River finally it ended at 6:45 and leaving the park and it started to rain thankfully the clouds held thier own and made it one of the best days of my life.It say this park is 4.70 out of five. I cant wait to go back.

So much to do in 1 day and so many options makes this an awesome trip with the kiddos. I am happy to say that this awesome water park is great for children of all ages as well as adults. The pools are all equipped with age specific features. There are small pools, water rides, sliding and largecwater slides as,well as wave pools and life vests available for safety. There are a couple of lifeguard at each pool and they switch up areas every so often. There is music playing and lots if excitement. Lockers are available to store small items before going swimming and there is a small store with swim items for sake near entrance . There is a bag check upon entry and a variety of food restaurants inside like Nathans Hot Dogs. A small area for eating with picnic benches and each food vendor has eating areas as well. There are small cabanas for rent throughout and lots of beach chairs available as well. My children loved this park. I was very Artem to e because it was extremely crowded but besides that I thought it was awesome. I loved the giant waffles too, they were my childrens favorite.

We went 2 years ago and were pretty disappointed. It was over crowded and they ran out of bottled water. Granted it was the last weekend of their season and very hot so you can understand the crowds. We gave it another chance today and I was pretty impressed. The park was clean and the staff was very friendly. Its a small park so $30 per ticket is a little high but when you factor in the free parking, its not too crazy. I recommend you go when its cloudy or calling for showers. The lines will be shorter and youre gonna get wet anyway. It sprinkled and was overcast all day so the place was pretty empty except for a few summer camp groups. They have a lazy river and a wave pool. 3 tube slides together with single or double riders, 4 mat slides, a multi person slide when the whole family can go down together, a half pipe which is scary as hell but fun and a little water themed kids area. Food is pretty expensive and its typical theme park food. Not bad, not great. Overall we had a great time and will probably go back again.
