Family friendly... yeah. Right. I had such a horrible experience. About two weeks ago I wanted to do something fun with my family. So my husband and i decided to take our 2 year old and my elderly mother (who is in a wheelchair) here. My baby is a very picky eater and my elderly mother has no teeth so there are certain things she can not eat. Knowing this I came prepared and packed a couple of snacks for my baby and a little something for my mother. When I got to the entrance the security checked my bag and I found nothing wrong with that. Although his following actions were incredibly rude and disgusting. After checking my bag he told me I couldnt bring outside food in, which I completely understood but I tried to explain to him why I had to bring the food with me. He was reluctant to listen to what I had to say. The rest of my family was already inside so I told the security okay let me just talk to my husband who is already inside (my husband had the car keys). I was going to put the food back inside my car. When I took a step forward the security then proceeded to push me back to prevent my entry. At this point one of his colleges came to see what was going on and told me the same thing I couldnt bring in the food. My husband then saw what was going on and came to take the food to the car. After my husband left to the car the security proceeded to tell me " just because you argued with me I could kick you and your whole family out the park." Such an unnecessary comment, I was so taken aback I didnt know how to respond. While waiting for my husband to come back from the car I saw a man get checked by the same security. This man had a couple bag of chips and sodas and the security just let him in. But I get physically assaulted for trying to take a step forward. Horrible. I regret not getting that horrible mans name. No respect or consideration for a pregnant woman.

I used to love bringing the kids here and sitting and letting them have a blast. A lot has changed. Either one child was too small to ride with the other on the kiddie rides! Like the flying helicopters or one of the kids were too tall to ride! So they were not allowed to ride together on any of the rides and they are only two years apart! And to also mention that the prices went up to $28.99 a POP band with taxes about $30 dollars give or take and they couldnt even enjoy all the rides. The smallest one was only able to ride about five rides in the whole park! I spoke to a supervisor walking around and he stated that the "manufacturers are the ones who make the height rules", and if she wanted to ride that an adult over the age of "18" had to ride with her. So that would mean we have to spend about $60 to ride some of the rides, not all, In which we can go to six flags and pay the same thing and they can go one the same rides with no problems and twice as many rides. And finally the staff were really young! They looked about 12-14 years of age. The ticket "children" didnt even know how to add up how many tickets we needed extra! I was disappointed and there were other families complaining as well. I wouldnt recommend it at all for this price! It is not worth it anymore. One more thing!!!! They charged us EXTRA for the Ferris wheel for 6 MONTH OLD TWIN BABIES! So that came out to $20 dollars! Never again!!

The bigger girl who worked at the Wave Swing ride between 12 to 3 pm on 9/23/2015 asked my two dark skinned sons who were sitting in the double seats to "get up" and give their seats to a white woman and her child. I was very hurt to see her force my kids to move from their seats and sit where she wanted them to sit. I explained to her my kids were scared and wanted to ride together. Instead of even trying to think of a solution she started to argue with me. She said they should get back on line. Why? That woman can wait when double seats are available so she is next to ride them. My kids were on line and waited for their turn before her and should not have been told this. The angry "manager" Joe came and said, "I already know what happened!" He started arguing and yelling at me, bringing his angry face closer as he yelled. His behavior was disgusting. He was even displaying stalking like behavior as he angrily followed me and my kids to a ride as I walked away from his rudeness. I am not interested in coming to this park on Sunday even if it is free. (They said to come in free next time instead of giving the refund I asked for.) Its not about the money but about principal. Both unprofessional employees should apologize. Everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect regardless of race, religion or color. It was such a stressful experience that I will never come here again even if its free.

The staff was fantastic and very polite. The reason for four stars though is for one reason and one reason only bungee jumping. My daughter was on another ride and I was watching the bungee jumping the girls were too busy joking between each other and looking around. It bothered me so much but my daughter has to go on the ride I said no then I corrected myself I told her she can go on the ride only if we can choose the girl thats going to spot you. We asked if we can choose what girl would like to spot they said yes so I allowed how to jump. When I was watching the bungee jumping earlier I noticed there was one girl one girl only paying attention and actually caring enough to jump up and down that the kids would have a very exciting time on this ride. Some of the other girls wouldnt jump it all one actually walked away to talk to the other girl real quick and came back there was such a turn-off that I was getting ready to actually say something to him but I realized I wouldnt have done anything. The girl that was gone over and above I did not get her name but she was the only girl that was working on 8/2 this is a round 7 p.m. with black hair I like their lot she seem to really care about fun and most of all safety she put a lot of muscle into every single jump that went off course. She was a breath of fresh air I hope this helps anything further you can contact me.

Fantastic place! New to long Island, and have heard only great things from other LI moms. Decided to go with my 4 year old, and 3 month old, and grandpa to help out. There were so many rides my 4 year old was able to go on alone, and the size of the park, as well as how it was laid out was absolutely perfect! The Staff at Adventureland were so amazingly polite and the park was kept super clean. Long story short, I lost my makeup bag with my credit card, insurance card, drivers license and $70+! Didnt realize this until 4 hours after I had driven home. Called the park around 945pm, spoke to Danielle who had heard about someone finding my belongings! Everything, including the cash was still in there, and Danielle, as well as the security guard who let my father into the park to pick everything up were so pleasant! Theres a reason this place is still successful after so many years. Kudos Adventureland....we will definitely be returning numerous times in the future.
