At one of the childrens ride. While my daughters were in the line waiting already the ride came to a stop, they needed to call a mechanic, the ride was stuck on the landing. As some more time passed, the finally got it fixed, those children got off. There was around 4,5 workers now at the ride. I simply asked one of them, since these children in line waited soo long, could they get a free ride. The man asked another, he came back and said no, sorry. It was fine. What got me was the lack of professionalism that ensued afterwards. Why would you sit there talking, mocking a customer. I asked for a manager, a man in a white shirt, with laughter said Im the manager with a smirk of his face. I said, you look young, and youre a manager, dont let it get beside you, and you should carry yourself better. It wasnt about getting my money refunded, it was all about RESPECT. Some workers left and I asked another, he was really dark skinned, short hair with blue shirt, if he knew or could get me another manager, mind you, he didnt know that I noticed him mocking me from beforehand and talking to the girl who handles the rides. He said he knew no one, I asked him, whats funny? I said so you dont know of another manager, or are you lying. He smirked..... I went to get my phone, I was a couple of feet back to take the picture, when he grabbed my hand, soooo hard that he literally broke my nail right off and wouldnt let go. I was screaming for him to let go, my son had to intervene and say get off my mother, he still wouldnt let go. When he finally did,he wouldnt give me back my phone. The tall maintenance guy, told him "RUN, RUN, I GOT YOU, RUN" when the police was called, I wasnt sent in to see the video. They said they didnt see my son, who was clearly there, at first that they didnt know who the worker was, to then say they did. So he got away with grabbing me, breaking my nail, hand in pain from the restraint withholding my phone, running off. Be very careful, because if someone got away with doing that, theres no telling what else they could get away with. Of course I couldnt show who he was, he grabbed me too fast. Never been assaulted, violated in that manner ever in my life. If someone from Corporate was there, no one asked what happened, was I, my children okay nothing. I cannot even come to terms how such callous acts behavior could be allowed. To say the least that I never saw the video, but I was there and will never forget what happened. They all still had grins. Its the kind of world and professionalism life that we live in. Theres no words to what happened and he is further from the victim. You cannot go assaulting someone over trying to take a picture, after asking countless times for another manager. I wonder would he treat another mother in that manner, or would the rest be laughing if she was standing next to king kong?????? I doubt it.

Let me start with saying that I go to Coney Island all the time. I am 32 years old and never had any issues - ever! I regretfully have decided to send this email. I went to CI yesterday and wanted to get on the cyclone. I bought 4 tickets and wanted to get in the front 2 rows. I understand there is no waiting for these seats, but it wasnt an issue since there were hardly any people there -it was around 9pm. There was a man who also waited for the front row and so we waited for him to get on and were going to get on next. The staff started yelling at us and saying there is no waiting and we werent going to get on. I was with 3 guys and was surprised that the staff was being rude to me - a female - when I was explaining that there was no one waiting and that they should have better customer service skills especially when we bought 4 tickets at $9 each. They got the supervisor who only made matters worse when the ride came into the station and he didnt open the first 2 rows so that we couldnt get on. I was very upset and had them call the manager. Douglas Youla was very polite and said we would get our money back - but that wasnt the point. The point I explained was the poor customer service and the 3 staff members attitude which was very offensive and made us feel like we were being discriminated against. Let me say again that there was hardly anyone there - and the people who got on the ride were saying it was ridiculous they werent letting us on. We all live in Brooklyn and go to CI all the time. One of us even lives in the neighborhood. I am extremely upsest and wanted Luna Park management to know about this offensive discrimination incident. I am a manager and we take customer service very serious and always try to please our clients. We will not be riding the cyclone or recommending it to others until the staffing issue is changed. Discrimination is against the law and should be taken seriously. However, I am a fan of the Cyclone RIDE!!!! :)

There is absolutely nothing like reliving your childhood memories and including your own children in the experience! I remember when Luna Park was just plain old Astro Land; my aunt and I used to take the Franklin Ave Shuttle from Botanic Gardens to Prospect Park where we would transfer to the D,QB, or the M to Coney Island. After quick ride on the D express the day would usually begin with fun filled rides followed by sand castles then hide and seek underneath the boardwalks before retiring from exhaustion back in Crown heights. Although it seems like only yesterday that I was taking my first ride on the Wonder Wheel, it was decades ago and Im no longer a prepubescent resident of Brooklyn. There are significantly more attractions and rides today by comparison resulting from post Hurricane Sandy reconstruction. Nevertheless, the trip was worth every penny, I enjoyed watching my children having the time of their lives as I did so often many many summers ago. Luna Park made a lasting impression that will hopefully become a tradition of fond childhood memories.
