oversold a movie and I wanted tickets to come back (which I have had no problem with in the past) and instead she just refunded my card which takes days to get back without me being ok with that. Then I tried to tell her that having 2 seats in the whole theater available when we paid for 4 tickets 2 hours prior was unacceptable and she went into the theater found the 2 seats (which I previously was told were taken) and she said we could sit in two seats in the very front with the girls on our laps. I asked if I could please res wipe my card pay the money for 4 tickets again (it was a discount day) and get 4 tickets to come back and she gave me a ton of attitude about it, finally said ok slapped the card machine and told me to swipe my card at that point with her attitude I didnt know what to do. I asked to speak to her manager because of her attitude (I get movies sell out and people sneak in to movies and they cant control everyone but I am a manager and I would NEVER have talked to a customer like that) She rolled her eyes several times at me and I know I was abrasive after she refunded my card instead of giving me tickets but her tone outdid mine which fueled my disappointment in taking my girls to a movie on my day off and driving there twice. I know my attitude was not the best I will admit that but instead of trying to calm me down or apologizing she blamed me right away for not getting to the movie earlier. I knew we would have bad seats and I didnt even mind sitting with one girl in one area while my husband sat in another area with one but 2 seats were available in the whole theater! She wanted me to rebut 4 tickets so we could sit in the 2 seats with a girl on each of our laps in the very front. I am not ok with being talked to the way she did or being treated the way she treated us. Since there is no one above her apparently I guess I will write my first poor yelp review instead.

12/2/2007 a group of 16 teenagers attending a birthday party decided to go to a movie - "This Christmas" at 7:05 pm at Century 16. They paid their admission and found seats in a theatre with about 45 other people. A theatre hardly filled to capacity. A few minutes into the show an usher or manager told them they would need to not laugh so loud or leave. This gentleman was described to me as a 40 year old or so, white, heavy (fat), balding man with a goatee. The girls told me that he stood in the back leering at them through-out the whole movie. The word is he was creepy! Then prior to the end of the movie 12 or 13 of the group were told to leave. The other 3 girls decided to leave also and went out another door. While in the ante room/hallway out of sight of the ushers they heard one usher say to the other "It is always fun to kick teenagers out!". A movie without the Christmas Spirit is one thing...but to intentionally profile teenagers as a group to intimidate and then kick out of the theatre is another thing. For my money and the money of our friends we will find another theatre to trade with where the girls can feel comfortable, safe and where they are not leered by theatre employees during their time at the movies. We hope this will help you make an informed buying decision.

Update: Service had gotten worse so took away my good opinion. Asst. manager Nichole was not helpful and insisted a young child who couldnt have sugar also couldnt get a lid with a straw and water unless I paid $4 for the cup. We took the little lidless water cup. This was after spending a bunch of money on other concessions the first trip through. Apparently they hate families now and want children spilling drinks all over other guests. Which is indeed what happened. ----------- Good megaplex theater. Can do online tickets, but not reserved seating. Close to Cedar Hills shopping so Powells Books and a number of stores and restaurants are just a short walk. Concessions are pricey, but on par with other theaters. Staff is nice. During movie events they allow inside lines. Closed captioning devices are available! They currently use the small cup holder mounted box that has a green LCD display. These wont work for a 3D movie as the 3D glasses focus your eyes, if you look down at a text screen right in front of you it causes your eyes to re-focus. Five minutes of that will be migraine inducing. Added a star for having a baby changing table in the Mens room.

A "one star" review may not be fair since we have been going to this theater for years and have really loved it. Generally once a week when there was a good movie to see. However, the last couple times we wanted to see a movie, seats were few and we had to reserve in advance and pay extra Fandango fees if we wanted to know for sure there would be a place available. Not happy but wouldnt even mind paying a little more for nicer seats if we show up and thats whats available. This has caused us to give up on movie theaters entirely since this theater was the so great for us in the past... but nothing beats the feeling of "lets go to the movies" when you want, then just showing up. Our screen and sound system at home is really good but we never thought we would enjoy it more than going to the theater :(

This is one of our favorite theaters. The reserved seating quality they offer beats the 2 other competing theaters Ive been to and used reserved seating. The power operated leather recliners are very plush and very spacious. There is a nice divider behind each row of seats, offering a comforting privacy you do not get with other stadium seating. The walkways in the rows are spacious, even when others have their seats fully declined and the footrest fully extended. They offer a wide variety of concessions, with a separate wine/beer and coffee bar to order from. The theater overall, has always been clean every time weve been there.

New over-sized recliners eliminated more than half of available seating, which means screenings sell out much faster, prices went up, and you need to reserve your seat choices in advance. So basically, to get good middle room seats now, you have to buy online (which adds another dollar to the cost) and reserve your seats hours in advance. No more showing up 10 minutes before a movie at this theater, you have to plan way in advance and pay quite a bit more. Very disappointed if this is the direction all theaters are going. Not everyone wants to sit on a couch/recliner to see a movie and pay more for it.

The staff is always underage kids who are friendly enough, with just enough spice to not genuinely care too much. The theaters are nice, and now the luxury seats are in so that is a treat. Also, there are buttons for the luxury seats to recline. I didnt find that out until AFTER the movie. People arent complete rubes here either, so feel free to to tell the loud mouth breathers, popcorn chewers, and chatty Cathys to shut their pie hole. Just remember, its not your living room so enjoy the experience right!
