Like others have said the Corals are nice and the Fish are nice, a bit overpriced but I guess he has to be a bit overpriced cause business may not allow him to bring his prices down (why cause the guy is a pill, went into the store and saw him talking to customers, so I figure I walk around and look and give him sometime to separate himself from the talking to two customers that were asking WHAT DO I DO QUESTION, hello we have the internet these days do your research before you go out buying stuff, But anyway after 45 min I figure this is not going to end, let me walk up to the register and put my item on the table and wait maybe he will see me and walk over and ring me out, what happen next was a total joke, he walked to another tank looked at me and walked passed me like I was a wall and went back to those folks and started a new chat. I couldnt even start to figure out what was actually happening. So I said OK he must be doing very very well and walked out, not worth close to 2 hours to pay for one item( 2 stars only cause the items were nice but nothing you cant get at any other fish store or online )Also as far as the owner being a bit to shy like others have reviewed here I respect your opinion 100% on the reason BUT when you have a business your owner/customer service has to be top notch their is no room for a bit shy

Aquatic Obsessions is a small marine aquarium store tucked in a small strip mall on a very busy roadway. If youre not looking for it intently as you drive there, you may miss it (as I did the first time). Inside however is a paradise for marine aquarium hobbyists. There are probably 40 small tanks that are always stocked with a nice selection of fish. The coral section is small also but the owner keeps a good amount of inventory for your buying pleasure. Dry goods too is limited but I find that AO stocks only the things you really need so while there may not be rows and rows of good, what he stocks is what you need or could use. Be sure to subscribe to the newsletter. Frequently, usually weekly AO sends an email announcing the new arrivals for the week and most time he offers one or two of the more expensive fish at a great discount presumably to get people in the door. I definitely include AO on my list od the top LFS (local fish store) in New Jersey. With regard to the other reviewer comments about customer service, the owner is almost always in the store and yes its a little quiet but he is friendly and will talk if you talk to him.

Selection was nice. Visited this store just to see what they had and the customer service was horrible. My wife and I stood there looking at a tank as an associate was inches away from us feeding the fish. At least acknowledge your customers! I simply asked him a question and he didnt even make eye contact. As he answered, he continued on not asking if I needed help. We walked right out. Id expect that from petsmart or a big chain store, definitely not from a store that should appreciate walk-ins to potentially gain a lifelong customer who spends hundreds on a hobby.

Fish and coral are great - with tanks kept super clean. Prices are a little high but nothing too crazy. What grants this store 2 stars is the horrible customer service. Ive only ever seen one guy working here, and hell choose to talk to his friends that come in and sit on the couch (why there is a couch in a fish store to begin with is beyond me) rather than help the customers that are standing around waiting for assistance. Better workers and CS would make this place 10x better!

They are very honest. They dont try to sell you anything that you dont need and the prices are fair. Most places I have been to said I need this and that when I didnt need anything. Some people in the reviews say hes overpriced, but if he doesnt try sell you things you dont need than you are saving money. I wasted so much money on products that I did not need and in the end they do NOTHING, but if I go here I dont get sucked in to buying junk like that.

Went there, bc tired of chain store fish. They have tons of salt water, and ok amount of fresh water fish. BUT the fresh water fish they have are amazing looking and just flat out different styles and looks you wont find at petco/pet smart. They dont have alot of choices , but do have different supplies. They let you look and dont hassle you. Some people dont like that, but then just open your mouth and they help you out alot !

Gave a low score for terrible customer service. You walk in and the guys dont say anything you. Visited the place about 2 times because they have nice fish but the customer service is so bad you dont want to purchase one. I asked the guy with the beard how much are the frags (since theres no price?!) and all he said is "IT DEPENDS". Wow is that helpful or what! This place needs employees who actually want to work there.

This is my favorite fish store to go to because of the quality of their supplies, coral and fish and also due to the dedication of the staff. The owner is always willing to help with your tank questions and only stocks products he would personally trust and use. If you have a fish tank then you know the quality of an item is important for the lives in your tank.

Very impressed! I had a great experience there and would definitely recommend this establishment to anyone that is into the hobby. If you dont see something you want in the store he will gladly order it for you with quick arrivals. To sum it up, he has a healthy stock and a great selection definitely one of the best in the state in my opinion

I have been going here for years and this is a great store. They are very knowledgeable and seem to specialize in reef, mini reef, and salt fish but also carry a select collection of africans, tropicals, cichlids, and I believe even some gold fish. The second I need something, I go here. The staff is great.

Decent selection of fish and corals they seem well taken care of, and as far as customer service goes, the worst of any aquarium in the area, you walk in the store and they act like you are not even there. I give them 4 Stars on the viriety of fish and coral and no stars on customer service.

This a great place for fish! I come here often with my parents, and everytime I find a great fish! The tanks are well taken care of, and they even know their fishs personalitys and preferred foods! Id surely reccomend this place any day!

This is the top aquarium store in the area...bar none. Excellent livestock...especially salt water. And a very well stocked selection of freshwater fish as well. I shop here often and I and NEVER disappointed!

Good selection, clean tanks, usually have what you need or want. Never had a problem ever getting anything here. Good store to go to, quality fish, quality coral, quality supplies at a decent price.
