I would consider myself an avid movie goer (1 or move movies most weeks) and my theater of choice in my home town of Florence, SC is Regal Cinemas Swamp Fox 14. Friday afternoons is my movie going day of choice with Saturday being close second. I LOVE the stadium seating resulting in no bad seat in the house. The chairs are very comfortable with drink holders and in the larger theater rooms they even lean back for even more comfort. Each theater room has large, easy viewing screens and great sound. Only negative to the great, loud sound in every room is sometimes if your movie is in a quiet scene and the room next to you is in the midst of a aerial dogfight with booming music or explosions you can easily hear the sound through the walls. Though I can safely say this has never taken away from my movie enjoyment. Swamp Fox 14 almost always has the latest and greatest movies...unless there are just too many good movies released at once and then one or two may come out week or two later. I try to get to the theater 15 minutes before the movie starts so that I can order a personal pizza to be cooked. They have pizza, hot dogs, pretzels, along with the normal movie going foods and drinks and yes the prices are high, but really any entertaining event you go to these days has ridiculous prices so why should a movie event/experience be any different? One thing I love to do while waiting on pizza to be cooked is to walk around the lobby and look at and/or take selfies with all the huge movie promotional posters or displays for current and upcoming movies or throw a few coins in and play an arcade game or two or try my luck at catching a prize in a claw grabbing game. And finally...Yes I will agree the prices are higher than the other theater in town (Julia 4). It is a bit much to have to pay an extra $3 for 3D movies (not a fan they hurt my eyes & give me headaches), but for a regular 2D movie in and around the $8-$9 range for matinee showings isnt too bad. Overall though, I dont mind paying the higher prices because honestly the movie experience is worth it. Lastly but not least, the employees are so friendly and helpful. Bought too much food they will help you carry it all to your seat or dont have time to wait on food to cook before your movie starts just let them know what theater room you will be in and they will have someone bring the food to you. That is what I call service. Oh and with movie theaters you expect popcorn and liquids to find themselves to the floor, but it doesnt stay there long because they always have someone coming around and sweeping/moping up fallen debris. And the bathrooms are kept tidy and clean which is a major plus in my book. Trust me...you will have a GREAT movie viewing experience at Regal cinemas Swamp Fox 14 in Florence, SC. Hopefully this review will help someone decide to give Swamp Fox 14 a try.

Prices are crazy high, I believe that more revenue would be brought in if the ticket prices went down to $6 and everyone continued to pay for the incredibly over-priced snacks and drinks. More people = more junk food sold. :-) I also wish that a more direct approach would be made to keep the ignorant jerks from talking and texting all through the movie. There is usually a worker that comes in the theatre to count people 5-10 times during the movie, why not have the worker announce him/herself prior to the movie that they will be sitting in the back of the movie and anyone seen with a cell phone out during the movie will be asked to leave and will not receive a refund. Or offer comp tickets for those disrupted during the movie to come back to the same show if you can not in force the rules that are explained 5 different times prior to the movie starting.

our resident over priced movie theatre.. the only reason me and the fam go here is when the smaller more affordable theatre (the julia 4) doesnt have a showing of the particular movie were going to see. when you have a family of 3 like me; to go watch a movie with snacks, you about have to take out a loan. i feel bad for larger families when they have to fork out loads of cash for this experience. pricey movie theatres like this is why most of the time we stay behind on all of the current movies, and catch it on netflix later. prices aside the swamp fox is a clean place and the employees are nice.

Recent trip from Boston to Florida in our 40ft motorhome we lost some time due to a mechanical issue and found ourselves looking for last minute accommodations. Found the Swamp Fox on google and based on locations and reviews figured it would be our best bet. The staff was extremely accommodating, left a map for us taped on the office door and told us to just settle up in the am. Who even believes in the honor system anymore!?! This is a zero frills campground but its clean, convenient location with great staff. Thanks Swamp Fox!

Customer service was horrible the lady at the concession stand was extremely rude!! Failed to mention prices and when asked she gave snobbish response like"oh you thought it was free" excuse me but Im an out of towner so forgive me for not knowing and you failed to mention as well as its not listed!! The manager was no better needless to say I wont be returning!! Customer service is EVERYTHING to me! Theater itself was was clean, new daytime staff and they might be alright!

Between the two choices of theater in Florence, SC I would choose the Swamp Fox any day. It is a little more expensive than the Julia. Swamp fox price is on par with ALMOST ALL theaters across the states, unless it is a "Dollar" theater or like our very own Julia. Swamp Fox is clean and comfortable and the people that attend showings there will not be on their phones or be loud during the movie. Unlike another cinema we have in town. You definitely get what you pay for. :)

So I was seeing a movie with my two children and my water pipe at home exploded. My wife called freaking out because our house was flooding. I had to sprint out 30 minutes into the movie and miss it. I submitted my scenario to Regals customer service. They sent free tickets to me without question or proof needed regarding my situation. Really meant a lot to me and way great customer service. My boys were super thrilled.

Way to over priced. Last time my family and i went (during the day) it cost nearly 100 for 2 adults and 3 kids to get in with buying drinks and snacks. Nearly 5 bucks for a drink that might cost 20 to 30 cent for them. Im all for a profit but really? Other than their prices the theatre is nice. Nice sound, pretty good screens, and usually nonsticky floors.

This is such an awesome theater *!* We are so lucky to have such a nice clean place to go in Florence. A little pricey although. It would be super fun to have the 1 dollar movies back every once a month!! if anyone has a complaint about the movies that are shown, they should always read the reviews before going!
