A Joy

I usually enjoy this theatre and it feels dirty because its old but thats not a problem for me. My problem is that the service I received wasnt worth even small amount of money it costs. The ushers were rude and told me I couldnt take my bag into the theatre even though I saw women with much bigger bags going in and the ushers just laughed at me and continued to tell me I couldnt bring it in after I pointed out how small it was. The ushers didnt let us in the movie until three minutes before it started and the only reason they let us in then was because I pointed out how close it was to the start of the movie. There was a perpetual loud buzzing in the theatre that we pointed out and we were told someone would be in to fix it. They never came in so we went to the counter to get our money back. The boy at the counter called the manager who was up stairs but even after hearing we wanted our money back the manager did not bother to talk to us in person. I do not plan on going back considering not even the management cared about their customers.

Very inexpensive theater. Different at night then during the day though. At night kids are running the place, usually no one is taking tickets and people are literally walking in without buying a ticket and going to any one of 8 theaters and watching movies for free. During the day there are a few seniors managing the concessions and collecting tickets and its almost professionally ran. Also at night, kids leave one show and enter another so mid show you can count on a bunch of high school kids entering and talking without any regard to the paying guests whos experience they are destroying. The property is in disrepair with many things broken in the restroom and lobby areas. Also at night the theaters are not cleaned between shows so by the last show you are trudging through garbage as you enter and exit the theater. Installing a Manager at every shift and collecting tickets continually would stop the theft of shows and destruction of the paying guest experience. It would be a great bargain if the place was managed.

There is no place left in the area that has movie ticket prices set for around $3. The place isnt like sitting at the latest AMC or Marcus theater with the kicked back seats and bar service, but I grab the kids and see a movie with popcorn for around $20. These days that alone is priceless. Plus the old vintage charm of the place makes it more fun. There is sometimes issues with the sound during the previews but it cuts back into place when the movie starts. I f youre looking to make a good impression on someone or arent okay with the basics then skip this theater for sure. For me - its the perfect place to take the kids and for this price - why not let them bring their friends too?! My hope is that this place stays popular enough to keep its doors open. :)

Was able to take my family of 4 to a movie for the price of 1. Its not the classiest theatre but you seriously cant beat the price. (Cash only btw) Concessions are also cheaper than new theatres. They have some fun arecade games, friendly staff, and i also like that it wasnt PACKED full of people. Only cons that i had were the seats (theyre older and if you got a big bootie, yer probably gonna get stuck. Heehee), and the theatre we were in had crackly speakers during loud boomy parts. Regardless, my family had fun, we didnt have to take out a small loan to go to a movie, and we were able to see a movie before it was out of the theatres! We will def be going back.

The place is old. (which makes it look runned down) the staff is young and immature (which they should be, they are in high school.) The quality is not the best, but for three dollars, I consider it a great deal. Im a fan of walking into a theater, watching a great movie, and leaving without feeling like I may need to put in a few more hours at work if this is going to become a regular event. If you go to movies to truly invest in the story on screen, its great. If youre looking for a great atmosphere with top notch food and the newest movies out there, pay the extra 5 dollars, go to AMC and stop complaining on here.

Dont you love it when you bring bed bugs home from your last theatre trip? Well I have the place for you. Welcome to Westwood Cinema 8!!! The place where you dont have to pay to go to college to get your shoes stuck to gum on the floor and dont have to have intercourse to find yourself checking your doctor if you have an STD. Have you ever seen the movie lights out? Gives me comfort now that I saw this theatre with the lights on. Who uses credit cards? 2016 WHAT!!!! 2016 WHERE!!!! The customer service was 10/100! Thumbs up! Whenever I come home with lice I will always think of this place. Until then.

I LOVE IT! It could use some improvements but im not hating, like some of yall. I go almost every weekend and its affordable. So if you wanna go to a cheap place then you should know that youll be seeing stuff that is not new. :)))))))))))) If you dont like then just dont go anymore. For all you white people hating get outta hear cause you guys only know the new and and improved movie theaters so just go to one of thoose instead of coming to this one that you know is cheap and may be not that good!!!! thank you :))))))))))))))) like my post:)

Great movie theater with great prices, I only hope that some of the people would be kinder to it and not damage the theater. Great customer service from the cashier to the young teens working here. Fun arcade games, but I do not like the crane game, cant grab anything with it, it shakes any prize off when you grab one and as it pulls it up to the top, it shakes it violently and it falls back down. But besides the crane game, great movie theater to go on a budget and with friends and family.

We frequent this theater together and with our teenage sons. The staff are really nice - young and old. The prices are so reasonable - food and tickets. We can take our family of four for the price of two at the first run theater. I have paid full price at first run theaters and their popcorn was terrible! Even though the surroundings are not new, we enjoy getting the theater experience at an affordable price! We can go to back-to-back movies and still save a huge amount.

Me and my family have gone to Westwood Cinemas for over 11 years. It is clean , the staff has always been friendly and the theater, concessions and bathroom areas have always been well maintained and decorated . I believe they do a great job of balancing cinematic entertainment at a decent price. I appreciate what Westwood Cinemas has offered to myself and the community over the years. I dont usually write reviews but I thought it was time to say Thank You.
