Theres a difference between a course being challenging and then just flat out dumb. This one is beyond dumb. Never have I hit so many balls well on great lines only to have them not be found on the walk up. On top of that if you have a dog leg or a hole that has a thin fairway, maybe having deep rough or string fescue would be logical but not here. When you miss your shot (or hit a good one that just never stops moving down there) you are hitting off of rocks, tree bark, pure dirt, and/or sticks. I broke my club on one of these lies. The last 3 holes and the first hole Ill give a pass on this cause the OB line is clear and the rough patches are decent. But the overall design along with greens that never break in the right direction or at all when there is a clear angle and the dirt patches all around it show that this is a true public course nightmare Doesnt matter if you are a good golfer or not cause even if you play the lies correctly you still wont end up on the fairway or likely near the hole, Im not pro golfer but Im not one who shanks shots like crazy. So when I cant even find my good shots and neither can anyone. Then I give this 0 stars honestly Lost my patience after these occurances through 4 rounds Never coming back

Played this course hundreds of times and is still extremely challenging. Built in the early 1900s this European styled golf course features some very difficult holes with large, old-growth, trees hanging over the fairway. If you slice the ball is lost forever as you can here it bouncing off trees as it exits the fairway. If you are a moderate golfer bring at least 8 balls.

We played for 1st time after attending the PGA weds practice round. We were pleasantly surprised at how good this course is . The layout is very different and challenging. Greens well maintained and consistent. Over all course condition was very playable.

Theres a Chinese lady whos there Sundays only and shes very rude, unkind to Asians. Shes such a racist that many of my friends stopped going there because of her. Extremely unhappy. If you want to run a decent business, definitely should fire her.

Very challenging course. The front 9 was definitely harder then the back 9. You play straight through the 18. No areas to break or get food and drinks. The condition of the course was great for a sunny April 2nd. Overall 3.5 out of 5.

$54 including cart on a Friday afternoon. Course was in very good shape and well maintained. There are a lot of blind tee and approach shots on the course but it is a fun layout. Overall, very good public golf course.

This is an excellent place to hone your golf skills and practice your playing strategy. Its a mountain course with narrow fairways, which are always tilted to one direction or the other, you cant find an even lie

Great track with beautifully routed holes, greens are on the smaller side more than making up for the lack of length. Requires some course knowledge, definitely will be back for second round next time I am in NJ.

Saturday morning employees are super friendly. Ive played twice now and the pace is pretty good, and the course is well maintained. The fairways are thin, but the course is long, and beautiful.

Great staff but the course is in moderate condition at best. It has too many rocks throughout thats damage clubs. Too many blind shots and questionably designed holes.

Great public course. The most challenging of the Somerset County courses. The course is tight but fair. Only issue is that the bunkers have too many rocks in them.
