Im not sure if this is/was Main Street Cinema, but there is only movie theater company in town. This is a unique theater split between 2 separate buildings. It has an older, classic design. It doesnt look bad, but its far from perfect. Just keep in mind that Williston in general has a rundown look and most places arent in the best condition. Dont expect exceptional service or low costs here. The movie tickets are overpriced as any other place. The same goes with the concessions. Over priced soda, popcorn, candy, etc but again, thats expected. I went to a 2D and a 3D movie here. The 2D picture was fine. Nothing wrong with the sound or screen. The 3D was fine as well. They reuse their 3D glasses. Mine were fine but I noticed there were many in the return pile that were worn out. Expect to get glasses in rough condition. I cant say anything about the theater conditions. Its dimly lit, but they seem a little worn out. The seats seemed clean and intact. The floor was relatively clean. There were cool posters and some retro decorations in the lobby. The staff seemed cheerful. I had no rude people help me nor any problems with the staff. They were quick since it was very busy there. If you want to see a movie, this will work fine. I plan on seeing more movies here. Its not the most amazing thing in the world and its not intended to be. Its an overpopulated small town theater designed for a small crowd. Its overpriced mainly because everything in Williston is. If you need a break from reality, give it a try.

This theater is a dirty, filthy, grungy and dilapidated establishment that is infested with cockroaches. Unfortunately it is the only movie theater in the small town of Williston, ND. Also, the staff and in particular one of the (so-called) "managers" at the place (he is a scrawny, balding, wannabie hipster is a rude, unprofessional individual who does not know one thing when it comes to help paying customers who have a complaint about rude theater audience goers who talk and/or text on their cell phones during a movie or having parents control their children who deem it necessary to constantly talk and kick peoples chairs while watching a movie. This theater and its staff has received several bad reviews and valid customer complaints on how they have been treated in the past. Complaints about their rude behavior, their confrontational attitude and poor quality service both management-wise as well as at the concession counter too. It is unfortunate that this behavior continues and has never been properly addressed and taken care...it is also a sad state of affairs that a paying customer needs to travel to the city of Minot in order to see a new movie in a cleaner movie theater with a staff that is more professional (Funny thing too is...there has been a Help Wanted sign in the window of the theater (there are 2 of them in Williston, both owned and operated by the same owners)...and I now know the reason why it is so hard to find people to work there...it is because of the managers!)

How disrespectful to all the loyal customers can you be? This place is in need of a TOTAL/COMPLETE renovation and makeover. Yes, we movie lovers are grateful to have a theater that shows first-run movies. But it is high time to upgrade your facilities. You have a loyal base of customers already, can you imagine if you invested into your business and brought the areas main theaters into the 21st century? Your clientele would double if not triple. It has long been a topic of intense discussion how much it would benefit the area to have a theater to be proud of in an area where there is literally a minimum of options for things to do too much of the time. You, the owners have completely disregarded and ignored the needs and desires of your customer base. Ask yourself this, if there was another option or a competitor in town how long would you be able to stay in business status quo? Its not fair to thousands and thousands and thousands of individuals up and down western North Dakota. Shame on you.

all of these comments im reading are soooo true except your forgetting the fact of how they DONT clean the place inbetween movies !!!! nor do they offer to clean the 3D glasses they hand out (very unsanitory) if the health department was to ever walk thru those doors they would for certain shut that place down !!!! it stinks inside / cold always i dont think they ever heat it /rude ppl working/ you have to clean the seats from others that were in there before you in previous movie in order to sit down/ your feet stick to floors/ you can hear sounds from other movies above, around , on side of you. water is $4 a bottle Really? talk abt a rip off they think its a oilboom town so they can rip ppl off .... take the time and drive to Minot much better only gave it a star cuz they dont have such a thing as Under rate/ dislike button

Can I give a half-star? Both theatres are dirty and run by immature kids that cannot count your change back or get your total amount correct (most of the time). The seats are broken, sound system is older than most of my wrinkles, way overpriced (12 dollar tickets) for such a horrible atmosphere. What I mean is the there are multiple showings packed into a shed (yes I wrote shed..its that small ppl) that can only hold one screen. The place just plain sucks and I was enlisted in the Army, so Ive seen my fair share of movie theatres, and this one is by far is one of the worst Ive had the privilege of using. Some may ask why use it then, and say its because the good theatres are over 2 hours away.

Horrible theater experience. Old run down buildings. No credit card payment. Poor sound proofing and awful parking. The only thing they have in their favor is the two locations close to each other meaning more screens. The practice of having expensive third party atms in the lobby for credit card users just shows they are only interested in profit and not customer service. The lobbys are tiny, old out dated restrooms that are in need of serious remodel. These people should have built the new theater they mulled over a few years ago, but instead they chose to stay put and squeeze every penny out of the existing location

Ive been to a few small town theaters and this one has got to rank near the bottom. The prices are high (for a small town theater). The bathrooms seem like they are one-person bathrooms and dont lock. There is no stadium seating which is annoying if someone sits right in front of you. During the movie, it seems like there were sounds from the movie next door coming through the walls which was distracting. The only reason for 2 stars were the people. They didnt seem bad, but not above and beyond either.

I love the fact that we have a movie theatre in town. I have enjoyed my experience here every time. But then again, I go for the family time and memories with my kids, I wont judge the experience solely on the price of popcorn. That being said, I do think updates could be made, and prices of snacks and drinks could be lower, but lets face it, prices are close to the same at all the theatres Ive ever been to. * I am grateful that we have a theatre.
