I honestly hate having to leave any type of negative feedback, especially for a place thats usually on top of things like Alamo but I have NEVER had such a poor experience as my husband and I endured yesterday. We went to see Suicide Squad at the 3:15 PM showing and naturally we were pumped for the movie. Our waiter was Chad who came up to us within a few minutes of us being seated to take our first drink order; almost exactly 30 minutes later, and after the movie had started, we finally received our drinks which was a whiskey sour and a beer. I initially thought that since the theater was packed service may be running a bit slow today but things got worse. Shortly after receiving our first drinks I decided to put up another order card with our second drink order and an order of popcorn just to insure that if it took another little while to get our order we would be okay... Well, in the 45 minute span it took for a waiter to notice our card (which we stuck out high purposefully to attract their attention) we noticed there had only been a mere 2 employees in the theater who walked right past our order. Upon finally receiving that order (20 minutes later) I noticed that the sangria I had ordered was so watered down that it was almost undrinkable. I put up one more order card for a different drink which took another 20+ minutes to get to us and was given a whiskey sour that was literally HALF the size (in a smaller glass) of the first one I ordered early on. The first thing I looked at when we received our receipt was the charge for the second whiskey sour and of course I was charged full price for the item. I understand that at that time I could have gotten up as the movie was getting close to the end and spoken to a manager about it, however, I honestly didnt want to miss the major parts of the movie since my husband and I paid the extra $10 on top of our ticket price to receive the pint glass. I have never received such a lack of service at any Alamo Drafthouse location Ive been to until yesterday. Im hoping that this review will be seen by upper management so that in the future, especially at any time during an opening weekend for a highly anticipated film, they will hire on more employees to cover the lack of service. I will still return to Alamo as my husband and I generally love going here (the few times a year that we actually get out to see a movie) and will be hoping for an improvement in the service.

This was the worst experience Ive ever had. We brought out daughter who we only get to see once a year to watch Star Wars and we got kicked out. We arrived before our movie time but spent a good 10 to 15 minutes in line since it took all three cashiers to checkout one lady.... We finally got in, missed the beginning due to the hold up at the counter, and Sat down. We have never been to this theater before so in effort to find a menu I used the backlight on my phone to try and find it. I was greeted by an employee who showed me where to find it. We ordered our drink that took a good 20 minutes to get to us. One drink. A coke. 20 minutes. Shortly after that my husbands phone was vibrating like crazy in his pocket. He simply pulled it out to ensure it wasnt his boss and was about to put it back in his pocket when another server came by and asked if he could put it away. He happily did so. We understand phones are bad in theaters.... however not even 10 minutes later the manager came by and told us we had to leave . This was very upsetting consdering we had no clue why or that they were so strict. We were late to the show which apprently had a showing of a warning... but due to the slow tickets in the front we missed that. If we would have been properly warned the first time this wouldnt have occured. She simply asked if it was my first time and showed me where the menu was. I feel this was very unfair condering we were simply trying to order food and silencing our phones. My husband MUST at least keep his phone on vibrate. He can lose his job otherwise. We were not texting, we were not talking, just trying to figure everything out. They wanted us To pay five dollars for a drink we had to wait way to long for and got a few sips out of....On top it all off the manager threatened us with the cops which made our daughter cry... thanks for that. She even had the nerve to say she let us in late because she was being nice.... yet she was no where in site and the guy said nothing about us being late... I will NEVER return to this theater. We just moved to Lubbock and this wasnt a nice welcome.

My concern is really about the service. This is my second time to see a movie at Alamo and I would not have gone because my first experience was so bad if I did not have a gift card to use today. I went to the 5:15 showing of Zootopia and sat on the first row, seat 15. I was with a party of 5. We entered the theater 30 min. before the show began. I wrote on the card our drink order and popcorn as soon as I sat down bec. on my first time to Alamo, it took so long to get my order. Same situation happen this time. We got a glass of water (1) within 15 min. Sprite and tea within 40 min. with no sweetener or lemon (which I wrote down on the card and the waitress reviewed with me). The table that sat next to use got their drink and food when we had only 3 of our drinks (they came in as the movie was starting. We got our pizza with only 3 drinks. We were told that there were no clean cups. Then we got another drink 50 min. Then we got the fries 50 min. later, popcorn 1 hour later. We never got the other drink. Had to request it 3 times. Was told that the syrup was out when we asked about it for the 3rd time. Then finally, 1 hour and 10 min. into the show, we received it. I asked for a refill on popcorn and never got it and got my tea refill when the movie was ending. We got our pretzel at the end of the movie too...all of this was ordered way before the movie began. The waitress sat in front of us waiting on our money. As a large group with a grandmother, I had to work out the bill but the waitress was determined to wait on our payment. I will not be going again. I did not see the first 30 min. of the movie bec. of these issues. I will be posting this information to other sites too so others will understand how the service is at Alamo.

Last night we went to watch the movie Magnificent 7 at Alamo Drafthouse. This is usually my most favorite place to watch a movie because of the service we usually receive. However, last night I along with my family and a my sons friend arrived at 5:45 pm. We were told we should arrive early so that we could get our food order in early. We were the first in line to enter the movie theater at 6 pm. We sat in row 3 seats 11,12,13,14. We filled out our order of 3 endless lemonades, a coke and bottomless popcorn, loaded fries and a pizza. We placed our order in the the little stand up right so that the waiter could see it. We waited. And we waited. We watched as people came in and found their seats. The waiters started waiting on people in row 1 and row 2, and row 4 and then even rows 5,6, & 7. Row 1 received their orders as did row 2. I started to get upset because row 3 had not even been looked at. By this time it was 6:27 and I got up to go speak to a manager. I asked the manager if there was a reason our row had been overlooked. He assured me that their was no reason and he would make sure that we were taken care of. When I got back to my seat, the movie had already started and our orders had finally been taken. The manager came by twice during the show to make sure we were taken care of. The service after my complaint was perfect. We had 3 refills of lemonade and 2 refills of bottomless popcorn. The total for last nights family outing was $105.00. If we are going to spend that amount of money we should receive excellent service.
