a litter strewn stage, a man dressed in a diaper and tutu to be humiliated, a transman emotionally abusing a stroke victim, a mother laughing while she makes her son vomit, a son reveling in his fathers past physical abuse of the family, a soldier kicked out of the military for snorting meth up his butt -I could go on, but if this sounds humorous, HIR is the show for you, personally as a transperson I was so offended by its transphobic portrayal that I had to walk out - Mixed Blood has done some amazing, amazing plays like "Next to Normal" and "Collossal" -but HIR is so offensive that I was stunned how bad it really was. It is such a betrayal to walk in to a theater and see this transphobic, misogynistic, really hateful play -I truly was shocked

The mixed blood theatre is doing some great plays. I saw Colosal which is a very dramatic love story of a football player and a snap decision that changed his life. Very well written and produced. This is a good small theatre that is completely assessable to all walks of life, whether you cant hear or are short on money.

Went here to watch a Spanish play, "Corazon Eterno". Play was excellent and was in two languages. Theater was a little tight but we made do. There were subtitles in Spanish and English for those who only knew one of the other languages. Actors were very professional.

We went to a show called "The Sun Serpent" a few months ago as part of a Spanish field trip, and it was incredibly well done! They do a wonderful job with not only the acting but the entire experience! Completely recommended!

Mixed Blood Theater is doing things no one else is attempting, and doing them well. I am taking students to see Minnecanos and look forward to a fabulous time.
