Extreme screen is terrible. Dont waste any of your money at the Rave anymore. First, I saw The Dark Knight Rises at Breckenridge, which uses all 4k projectors since its big upgrade, and it looked GORGEOUS; then for comparison, I went to see TDKR again at the new "Extreme" screen at the Rave and it sucked. Its only a 2k projector blown up on a screen too large and too close, I could easily see the pixels and faces and details were blurry and fast motion hurt my eyes and gave me a headache; also, the speakers were too loud, I like loud, but they have them too loud so that it sounds noisy and hurts your ears and you cant understand what people in the film are saying; the subwoofers are also cranked too high, instead of being hard and punchy, they are boomy, like the trunk of a car with rap music playing, it actually ruins all the bass, its just one long vibration all the time and you never actually feel any hits or explosions. Besides the Extreme screen, which is a huge waste of money since its 2$ more per ticket, the regular screens are boring 2k projectors and not worth going to see. I will never go there again. I will only ever go to Breckenridge now because they have 4k projectors, which look 4x better than 2k projectors at the Rave, I cant even tell you how awesome the details and clarity look on Breckenridges 4k projectors; and the sound is CORRECTLY balanced and plenty loud too! (see my review of the Chenal Dickenson as well, their Imax is a Lie-Max, it is not really an Imax projector, its the same 2k projector that the Rave uses in the Extreme screen and it looks like crap, but they still charge 5$ more for it! Breckenridge 4k projectors are better than the Chenal Lie-Max!!!) *Note that the new McCain theater set to open in Oct2012 is a Regal, like Breckenridge, and it will have all 4k projectors including a grande screen which should be better than the Raves Extreme screen AND the Chenal Lie-Max.

The popcorn tasted like hydrogen; the new chairs didnt match the color of my sweater at all; someone (I think it was a security guard named Brandon) built a pyramid on top of my car out of Legos while I was watching the movie; and the person sitting next to me had no idea what the capitol of South Dakota was. Next time I want some sort of guarantee that the person I sit next to knows the capitol of South Dakota. Also, i had to go to the bathroom during the big chase scene in the movie and I missed it and asked for a 76 cent refund and they only gave me 38 cents. Plus the Rave Theater is shaped like a big box. Id rather it was shaped like one of those things that puts powdered sugar on funnel cakes. Finally, there wasnt a single pair of vice-grips in any of the seats. From now on Im only going to the Rave when my aunt and uncle are visiting from Trinidad. And since theyre both deaf, I expect the management to know all the words to Jimi Hendrixs "Purple Haze." Or Ill never come back ever again. Ever!

I went here to see a movie that had been out for a few weeks because it was one of only a few places still showing it. I checked movie times right before leaving the house. However, when I got there, the showing had been cancelled so they could add showings of the new Twilight film. I understand theyre making money, but they didnt update the website and it was too late for me to go see the filim I wanted to see at another theatre. Regretably, I decided to go to another movie since I was already there and I was in a movie mood. When I got to the theatre it was so warm someone went to complain. Then they forgot to turn down the house lights untill someone went to complain about 15 minutes into the film. And lastly when the movie had some foreign language parts the subtitles were showing up below the screen so you couldnt read them (and missed whatever else was being cut off, too). In the past this has been a good theatre, but the bad experience this weekend will make me look elsewhere.

We have been paying more to get the reclining seats at another theater. We had heard that this theater had new reclining seats and we couldnt get tickets at our favorite theater so we reserved 5 seats in row G. We had our grandkids ages 5, 7, and 9. I dont know how it is in the other rows, but in row G you cannot see the entire movie screen if you are short. Management suggested booster seats, but even skinny 7 year olds cannot sit in these narrow booster seats. There is a divider between row F and row G. I dont know if the chairs are too far back from that divider or the divider is too high, but children and short people are going to be upset when they cant see the movie. The recliners do recline with the push of a button, but they look and feel cheap. Very disappointed. Grandkids not happy. Next time we will wait until we can reserve seats at the other theater with recliners.

The place was nice we showed up 30 minutes early to get a good seat knowing it was Friday .......... little did we expect a storm to come through and knock out the power we were given readmit passes, so we head to a local pizza joint recommended by the police officer in the parking lot we have dinner and come back for the 8 oclock showing. Heres were they bad stuff happens we think hey we paid in advance for this movie we should have the first choice on showing nope stand in line like every else who showed up 4 hours later ! So we swallow that lump stand in line to watch the 8 oclock showing go to sold out ........... I will return to this theater to ask for a full refund and not these readmit tickets good luck getting my money again YOU GUYS SUCK AT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!!!!!! BTW I was not even offered my money back ..............

Worst experience in a theater ever. The people behind us were on their cell phones the entire movie gossiping. It was a horror flick so I couldnt get into the flick at all with Jaquel telling her homegirl about how her date was the other night. I asked them to quiet down. They joked and refused. I went to the front and told 3 associates about the disturbance. No one ever showed up to check on it. Her friend started breast feeding her baby next to me and her husband started snoring. I got up and left. I asked for a manager on my way out. She almost called me a liar saying no associate came in. I got very frustrated driving from hot springs for a decent movie experience only to have to walk out. She ended up giving me movie passes instead of a refund. Terrible. AVOID THE RAVE!!!!

My family and I were frequent customers of this theater but the value provided has fallen short more than once. The theaters management is rude and movies often start more than 15 mins late. The security is the worst part. One of the guards, officer Swaggerty- who I believe works for the police department, has been witnessed discriminating against interracial couples or people of color more than once. I personally witnessed this officer inform a couple (who was causing no visible issues) to leave or sit separately because he doesnt like when those type of people sit together. I took this to the management as the couple was being discriminated against. The manager said that it was not really his place to deal with the way security treated consumers.
