My go to option for movies, the staff is always very friendly and courteous, the theaters are always clean, the manager will welcome you and offer his service if anything arises during the movie. It will only really get busy for opening days of blockbuster movies or the week following the opening so you can count on finding a great seat 5 minutes before the movie. Great selection of popular movies and independent movies as well. I highly recommend stopping in, you wont regret it!

Popcorn, with real butter, is great! Theaters and womens restroom are clean. Staff is very good. Unfortunately street parking is limited and the paid parking behind the theater is quite expensive. This makes the Lagoon less of a pleasure than its sister theater, the Edina. Some Lagoon movies are available elsewhere in the Cities, and if I can see a film somewhere else nearby I will do so because the ticket and the parking will certainly be cheaper.

They need to stop showing big, blockbuster films. There are countless other theatres to see these at, all of which have much bigger screens and better sound systems. Why would I want to see a populist, highly visual action film on a tiny Lagoon screen? That makes no sense. Until they get back to their roots and show only foreign and independent films that otherwise have no venue in the Twin Cities, they will be poorly regarded in my book.

Great movie selection. Just saw The Lobster at Lagoon. Where else could you see this movie? (Not that it is for everyone...) Popcorn is made in-house, not brought in via 55 gallon bags. Pre- or post-movie restaurant and bar options galore, including great patio and rooftop options (available 3 months per year in MN....ha). Parking ramp will add to your bill, but you dont have to worry about parking. The only need a Creature from it.

Saw Rurouni Kenshin here last night. Everything went well, except if Im paying 15.00 for a movie ticket the seats could be more comfortable. I have a pretty bad back ache today. Otherwise, staff was friendly, movie was fun, projection and sound were nearly perfect. Good for import and independent films.

Its one of those places youd hate to see go despite it being outdated. It looks a little shabby these days but still a neat place to check out an indie film or advance screening. There are several bars and restaurants in walking distance to the Lagoon which makes before or after plans super simple.

Cool theater but it can be hard to find parking nearby and it is all meter parking. Bathroom is upstairs and the handicap seats in some theaters are on a raised step. Not the best access for people in wheelchairs. Its a relatively clean theater with overpriced snacks.

I really like going to this theatre. Its got a great vibe and they always play great movies you wont find other places. The only problem is theyre prohibitively expensive. I usually just go to Riverview. The movies may be older, but the price is right.

This theater plays great films that are often not playing anywhere else in the twin cities. Normal Movie food and drink options, no beer or wine. Seats are a little small, but typical for an older theater. Staff is always very friendly!

Hate the theatre what a dump! This place needs to have free Parking needs to be done on the interior sweats are uncomfortable and the bathrooms are always dirty! The staff at the door are super unfriendly I just hate coming here

Nice theater showing independent and foreign films. Smaller theater sizes, so feels a bit cozier. Never had a bad experience, audio and sound have always been crisp. Check them out for movies a bit off the beaten path!

Solid neighborhood cinema. The seats were clean and the floors werent sticky, so by cinema standards its slightly cleaner than most. Audi and sound were both dialed in and normally the lines are short.

Quaint little theater tucked away in a busseling upgraded neighborhood. We were impressed with the handicap accessible, very well done. Seating was also very comfortable, pricing was affordable.

This has become our annual Star Wars premiere theater. Theres really nothing special here, although its appropriate that they have light fixtures that are very reminiscent of lightsabers.

This is a really old place, but has that cute cozy feel to it. The screen in the theatre I was in wasnt huge by any means, but the seats were decent and the staff was extremely friendly.

Great theatre, friendly staff, excellent popcorn. The prices are what youd expect but the large is fing large so you get what you pay for. Surprising mix of indie and larger films.

This theater is great. They play movies that oftentimes are not released to a lot of other theaters. The facility is clean and prices are decent. I would highly recommend!

As one of the few options to view some of the limited release movies they do a good job at this place. Small theatres, but the place has a good number of them.

Saw Ghost in the Shell 2017 here. It sucked Saw Shin Gojira here. It was great Love the selection of snacks and proximity to some of the breast parts of uptown

Excellent picture quality. Decor very good. Seats good. Parking: youre on your own. No dedicated parking lot. Nearest ramp is $10 for two hours.

It is a movie theatre, what more can I say. Popcorn, soda all you would expect. Cant blame them for some of the lousy movies that are produced.

Art cinema; 6 screens, theaters not large, available parking across street west; good popcorn; closed captioning devices for hearing impaired.

Nice theater, but I HATE the new parking situation. Its bad enough that I will choose other theaters, even though the lagoon is closer to me.

Fun little theater tucked away amongst the condos and shops of uptown. 70s-80s era with a handful of screens merged with modern decor.

They played the Cowboy Bebop movie. Cmon! This is a theater with taste. Watch Raid: Redemption there was a life-changing experience.
KR

They have the best movies. No loud ads at the start like the suburban multiplexes. The staff is always super friendly and helpful.

Great selection of limited run and independent films. High quality concessions and awesome staff make for an enjoyable experience.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The personal touch added to the start of movies is a lost art which they perform well.

This place is pretty cool, before our showing the manager of the theater came out to welcome everyone and wish them a good show!
