Inconsistencies in Technical Aspects: Some customers have reported issues with the movie projection, such as the lights going on and off unexpectedly, the movie not being centered properly, and issues with the volume.
Improvements Over Time: On the flip side, other customers have noted that the quality of service has improved over the years, especially after the theater underwent renovations.

Ease of Access: Customers appreciate the theater's location and find it more accessible compared to other nearby options.
Affordable Options: Customers find the ticket prices to be reasonable, especially when compared to other theaters in the area. Special deals like "$5 Tuesdays" are particularly popular.
Concession Stand: While some find the food and drink prices to be on the higher side, others feel that the prices are fair for a movie theater.
Movie Selection: The cinema is praised for always having recent and popular movies. However, there are allegations of the cinema not showing movies that feature a diverse cast, raising questions about inclusivity.
Seating and Comfort: The cinema has undergone renovations that included the addition of new reclining seats, which have been well-received.
Staff Interaction: Reviews are mixed when it comes to staff interaction. Some customers have had positive experiences, describing the staff as friendly and quick to help, while others have had less favorable interactions.

After going to this theatre for a few years, I am going to now give my business to East Bethal. In the past it was not unusual for the lights to go on and off when they were not suppose to, the picture to not fit the screen, the movie to stop and start again, the volume to be very loud after the movie quit and also be not loud enough at times off and on during the movie. The last movie I saw was called "Taken", since the movie was not centered properly you could not read the lines indicating what was being said when they were talking in a different language. The movie stopped and went black in the middle, then when it came back on, the volume was very, very loud. It stayed that way until the end. The movie was late in starting too but that is not that unusual there. I talked to Shane and gave him some polite feedback, however he was unaffected and had nothing to say other than there is not someone up in the control room all the time. Really, ? that was not a tough one to figure out. This theatre does not care if they keep their patrons or not as they do nothing to encourage you to come back.

I read through all the bad reviews here and I really dont understand it. Its like I have been going to a totally different theater then they have been. I really only go to the theater a few times a year, but the 10-12 times I have gone here, its been a great experience. If anything, it has gotten better in the past year and I really like their popcorn now. Prices are fairly decent and I have never once had an issue with the sound/video quality. If you look at the bad reviews, most seem to be 2+ years old and I think this place must have really stepped it up since then. ***Updated 11.30.2013**** This theater was recently renovated and the quality is fantastic. I really cant say a bad thing about this place and given the new way of doing things as AMC, this is my primary theater now.

I just visited Andover Cinema for the first time since its remodel was completed in May 2013 under new management (CEC Theatres). This is our neighborhood theatre and Ive always enjoyed going here, but now its even better. The remodeled lobby is beautiful and spacious, and the employees, friendly. I havent tried the concessions yet, but the popcorn smelled great! The new seats are really the icing on the cake. It was like watching a big screen movie in my living room - only even more comfortable than my own recliner! I thought the sound was great too. I will prefer this venue to Showplace 16 since its closer and more convenient and not quite as pricey. Nice to have a theatre of this quality in Andover.

Ive never had a bad experience at Andover Cinema. I have seen several dozen movies here since 2002. Prices have always been cheaper than Showplace 16 and other nearby theaters. Andover Cinema was remodeled earlier this year (2013). The new lobby layout is great... very open and accommodating. Love the new reclining seats! We saw Iron Man 3 after the remodel and the new audio enhancements were very sharp and crisp without being overbearing. Friendly service as always at the ticket booth and concession stands. Not sure why anyone complains about movie theater food. Its all about eating salty and sweet snacks while having a good time. You dont go to McDonalds expecting a sirloin steak!

obviously a racist theatre. they wont show movies with two or more actors/ actresses that are black, hispanic, latino, asian etc. Only show movies about white people. has never shown the madea movies, didnt show selma, the butler, 12 years a slave, django unchained and south side with you. Employees are white washed. I would love for the mangement to email to me why they are a racist institution. I will never take my service there, spend a penny or step foot in that theatre again

Andover cinema is the one stop movie doing destination that everybody needs in their heart, between stellar customer service, recently renovation, and new concession items, im proud to say Im a regular there as opposed to the AMC showplace 16 down the road, they charge twice as much and sell out 10x as fast. I live near showplace in coon rapids and I happily drive the extra 2 miles to rock in their brand new chairs.

They always have the recent and popular movies youre looking for, and even have some incredible deals ($5 Tuesdays, anyone?)! There is a "fancy" AMC nearby but the tickets are outrageous, comparatively speaking, so Andover Cinema is always the first theater I check for showtimes! Other theaters receiving 5 stars from me can also deliver reclining seats and/or alcohol for adults; but Andover Cinema is my mainstay!

What cant I say about this place $5.00 Tuesday all day and free small popcorn. You get the heated recliner seats like the expensive theaters with out the over priced admission and they get all the new movies the day they come out. Best of all they are not as crowded like other places Ive gone and the people that work there are so nice I can honestly say I really love going there.

Worst movie theater I have ever been to, it was so bad and there were numerous rude things from more then one of the staff I wrote an email to both of the managers after. I never even received a response. I will never go here again. There are so much nicer theaters such a short distance away that are far worth the travel.

Wonderful Recliners! Very nice people. Im not crazy about having to pick seats at the counter. I dont mind the old fashioned of way of pick your seat when you are in your movie. So glad to have a nice theatre in the Andover area. Centrally located by the restaurant and Target and Festival and Walmart. Very handy.

My husband and I love this theater! Its older, and the chairs are not like your big box office, but they are nice and do the job! The popcorn is yummy and the soda is cheap, do you know about Tuesdays? $5.00 tickets all day every Tuesday! Its clean and the staff is always friendly. Thats why we keep coming back!

Spent $60 on tickets and popcorn. The theatre wasnt cleaned, when we asked if they were going to clean it we were told they were "shorthanded". Shouldnt pay that amount of money to have to clean your own seat before watching a movie. Movie was great, unfortunately the service wasnt, and no manager on duty.

The renovations are awesome. Comfy chairs and good picture and sound. I love going Tuesdays since Im sort of on a budget, but really they arent even that spendy for evening shows. I go a few times a month and the staff members are always friendly and quick to help. Probably my favorite theater in the area.
