This casino has had multiple security issues and at least one shooting since opening, so I guess I should not surprised by the current lackadaisical security and procedures. OUTSIDE SECURITY: No security noted around building. Situation: It was Friday night and I had a mild headache/migraine from working earlier in the day. My friend and I were informed by casino security that no stores were open in the casino to purchase aspirin. There was a convenience store across the street where we may purchase it. In order to get to the store, security said the shortest route was to leave the main casino entrance and walk around the building. We did not see any security guards around the building, and we were uncomfortably approached by a man of questionable character during our return trip. MISSING PERSONS: Security would not help find missing person in casino. Situation: I used the downstairs restroom after 2:00 am, noting this to my friend and leaving him at a machine nearby. When I came out, I could not locate him. I circled the restroom area for about ten minutes searching for him. My phone had died. I informed security of what happened. They appeared to care less. They did not ask if he had a players card they could track, they did not call their management, and they did not put a notice out to inform security to be on the lookout for him. I searched for him on my own continuing to press security. I later spoke with two security guards at the main entrance who saw us come in together. They noted they saw him with two larger gentleman and oddly referred to my friend as a shorter gentleman. He is about 5 7" like me. I informed the guards he did not know anyone in the area and it was his first time at a casino. I was quite concerned and upset at this point. They suggested I look upstairs for him. I went upstairs and located him with a group of people. He had went to upstairs security looking for me. He said upstairs security did not help him, so he decided to enlist the help of multiple patrons and create a search party. This party included two larger gentleman. I cannot tell you how happy I was to find him. We were separated for over an hour at that point. Sadly, all security had to do to resolve the situation was communicate with one another. For example, pick up the telephone downstairs and call security upstairs or vice versa. My dad is a professional gambler and my brother has worked with multiple casinos updating their security procedures in Vegas. Missing person procedures be security 101 for a casino. I am lucky I found him. Others may not be so lucky. On a side note, we want to MGM National Harbor after the incidents above and had a great time!

Is it possible to give 0 stars? I went here after hours to check it out while I was near by. Over a year ago. I turn my head for one second, my purse was gone and no where to be seen. I usually tucked it between the slot machines for a safe place within eye sight.... I was treated like it was my fault because I had a drink. Employees were extremely rude becuase they thought I was some drunk white girl from out of the city. It doesnt matter who you are and if you had one drink. Security here did not even try to help they just told me to leave.... Ive never had this happen before, so I made a police report, nothing ever got done about it, nothing. So my drivers license, credit cards, cell phone, car keys, expensive makeup, gone and no one cared. Luckily I had a security application on my phone, found out where my phone was drove to that house and told the police I know who stole my purse and I have a location. Nothing was done. And Im pretty sure it was an employee who took it because they started taking pictures and messaging people on my phone in the most ghetto way of speech... everyone who got messages realized it wasnt me. I will never ever go back to this casino. My advice, ladies dont take your purse in there, and everything you bring in make sure you keep it on you, on the front of you and dont ever put anything down. And especially dont count on security or management to help you. I have also heard from several other folks with females in their lives that had this happen, Im not the only person this has happened to. I would favor Maryland Live! Or Hollywood Casino, and never Horseshoe. Everyones reviews about rude employees and horrible service and bad drinks are correct as well. Seriously take this review into consideration before give your money away.

{You cant talk about the casino in Baltimore and not talk about the politics involved in this project, but Im going to try, and review based solely as a casino.) I enjoy casinos. There, I said it. Even though I dont gamble much, there is something about casinos that I find I like. I was concerned about Horseshoe, I mean, what do they know about casinos in Baltimore? As it turns out, a lot. You enter on the main gaming floor and are greeted by the plethora of slot machines. Further in are the table games. Along the walls are restaurants and the poker area. The downstairs is pretty much the same. Lets talk about the Great, the Good, and the Ugly. The Great: Staff. Wow, I love the staff. They go all out to make sure your experience is awesome. The restaurants. They are unique and make great food. The parking. A well lit garage makes getting in and out a snap. The Good: The buy-ins for some games. Its just too steep for me. I want to gamble but I dont want to spend a hundred bucks to do so. I like lower buy-ins. I may still spend that hundred bucks, but I will get more for my money. The rewards card - its always so crowded at the desk, and I am really unsure what I get. A little better selling on that might be necessary. The Ugly: Wow. Its, uh, brown. Not my favorite color. I like it, and if they lower the buy-ins I may even love it. It certainly rivals some of the smaller casinos in Vegas and a great place for some fun, a great beer, and fantablous meal! Welcome to Baltimore, Horseshoe!

Where do I begin? Do I begin with the false promise of up to $500 returned when lost as a new player? Do I begin with the heart attack food at Guy Fs menu that consist of 5 lbs of potatoes drenched in a creamy crab sauce or do I begin at the Heavys Seas Burgers at Horseshoe Casino? I will start there since this is the first of a series of reviews I plan to make about my personal experiences at the local level of doing business with establishments; this is mostly for the next guy. ...Heavys Seas Burgers at Horseshoe Casino...as it is the most recent event for me at that place. I ordered the Russell Street Fries. It was $6. I was nearly 2 lbs of french fries, smothered in a ton of melted cheese, a 1/4 cup of relish, a cup of pork bar-b-que. I had my order separated into parts. This was a good idea. As I ate this food, I felt my blood pressure rise. The more I ate the sicker I got. My head begin to hurt and my heart begin to race. All of these symptoms happened after only at best five or six fries. If you want to die young, or die early, eat this dish from this establishment at Horseshoe Casino. The best thing about this experience was when I took it back I got a full refund.
