I had the absolute worst moving-going experience of my life tonight. I viewed the 6:30 PM showing of The Last Exorcism on Saturday, September 4, 2010 at the Tuscaloosa Cobb 16. I expected many screams and some level of noise as is normal with horror/suspense/thriller films, which also happens to be my favorite genre of movies, but the level of noise was beyond intolerable. Within 10 minutes of the film I had to go seek a Cobb employee to monitor the group of 15 or so youth that would not stop talking. They talked continuously! Phones rang on loud and were answered with full conversations carried on throughout the movie. My husband went again to find an employee about an hour and a half into the movie. Both times a young employee was sent in our theater and spent less than one minute walking from to the top rows and down the row again to exit. The employee never said anything to anyone. The group even continued to talk as the employee was in the theater the second time. I left after the movie without speaking to a manager because no employees other than the lowly ones in red or green were even in sight. After getting on the road I called Cobb 16. I requested to speak to the manager. He was not rude, but he certainly was not nice or a pleasure to deal with. He never once apologized to me for the bad experience and actually just made excuses about how I should be more understanding that the employees just do not have the time to monitor the theaters. The customer should never be blamed for a bad experience. Never.

I didnt take any pics this time (sad face), however, I went to Cobb Saturday and Sunday to watch IT (long story). Anywho, to date, I have never had a bad experience with this theatre. Sound at a great level, temperature good, theaters are always clean and the staff is always pleasant to deal with. Had my first movie funnel cake on Saturday, it was actually good, I kind of expected it to be sorta soggy and chewy, but it was perfect! The reasons I didnt give the theater a 5, is because of the DBOX theater rooms. They take up so many rows and both showings I went to were in the same #6 theater. Which means, the theater gets packed real fast! The other reason, is ticket prices are kinda on the high side, especially matinee tickets. I am used to matinee pricing of around $5 or $6. Other than that, Cobb is a good theatre to spend your Saturday night, Sunday afternoon in.

Got kicked out after my girlfriend and I were asked for our IDs when seeing a rated R movie, my pistol permit was on top of my drivers license and since we are both over 21 we were already annoyed for being IDd for a 18+ movie, joked about being old enough to conceal carry with the pistol permit and then later got pulled out of the movie and kicked out because the theatre is a weapons free area. No threats were made or anything. Just an innocent joke about age and the pistol permit, but its fine, I disputed the charges for tickets and concessions with Amex. Well take our business to a theatre that does not require its customers to be unarmed while abiding Alabama state laws. We seriously got asked to leave over a joke about age and being old enough to conceal carry with a pistol permit...

I normally have complaints for movie places. Just to give one of my normally given problems, I am very tall so its usally hard for me to get comfortable in the seats most theatree have. But not here, the staff are pretty nice, the theater rooms are very comfortable. The ONLY thing Ihave found I am not the only one who dislikes this, but they have pretty boring food, and when they have had something different. ( like deep fried Oreos ) they dont keep those items. And what they do have things like chicken strips they dont keep things like salt or dips out for you to grab yourself. Which means when your rushing and they are very busy, you have to choose to stand there and wait, or go without it. But other than that kind of thing, its a really great place.

This was the spot for my friends and I during high school and it still is. The tickets are well priced and the service is great. The employees are friendly and helpful. The building is kept well cleaned and organized. The seats in the theaters are very comfortable. The steps and their rails are well illuminated in the theaters. The sound system volume is at just the right level during the movies (not too high, not too low). The movie screens offer the best movie viewing experience. The price for food, snacks, and drinks are way over priced. I suggest eating at a nearby restaurant before watching a movie.

Im not a fan of this movie theater. Ive been here a few times, and I still havent come to love it. For one its super expensive. The mid day movies are STILL EXPENSIVE! The pop corn is not that great! CARMIKE is so much better. At least with carmike if you buy a bucket when you come back your refills are only $4. This place you have to constantly buy buckets each time same price. You can only get refills on large drinks. Thats what I was told. Sucks that there isnt a carmike here in Tuscaloosa.

They made me throw away the Zaxbys I had just bought 3 minutes before I walked in. Literally, the woman made me toss my fresh-out-the-oven boneless wings, fries, and toast (with my Dr. Pepper) into the trash can beside her. She probably reached in there after I went into my theater and started helping herself to some free Zaxbys, courtesy of moi. I do not recommend this theater for a night out with a couple of friends, especially if you plan on eating anytime soon.

Super Kino, ich hab hier Django Unchained gesehen. Der Saal war riesig, der Klang hervorragend und die Sitze waren auch bequem. Natürlich gab es auch die typische Kino-Verpflegung aber in US Größen.

It is a mediocre theatre. In my honest opinion.. SOME of the staff NEED better people skills, and NEED to have a higher IQ!! The screens are good. The seating is good. The sound is good. THERE ARE NO VISABLE SECURITY GUARDS!! THEY NEED BETTER SECURITY, and BETTER FIRE EXITS!! The building NEEDS to be REMODLED!! Its NOT the best theatre, but it passes as decent!!

Went to see Iron Man 3 in IMAX 3D and thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience. Seats were excellent, theater was large, building was easy to find, staff was helpful with navigation, and the movie screen/experience was amazing. The theater was very loud, which is to be expected with a theater so large and an IMAX experience. I plan to return!

Always have had a great experience, everyone is helpful & respectful, everything always clean & on point. My only complaint is that certain movies arent shown here. Some of the most popular or most interested in that are showing everywhere else are never here! Because of this going is not as often as I would like.

Is it too much to ask for the staff to keep things on the menu board available? My wife and try to go to the movies every and a chocolate chip cookie at the movie is our treat. Well sometimes anyway when they choose to have them for sale. What a bummer. Thanks for ruining our treat.
