We were guests at a wedding where the entire Inn was taken by the wedding guests. As many of our family members are raising families, we chose to take one of the most expensive rooms, advertised to have a water view. Upon check in, we were shocked to discover that this water view from both the room and a lovely private deck was completely obliterated by a tent erected for use in the event of inclement weather. We complained and were told that no one else had ever complained?? and further that there was a garden view...if you go to the small window on the other side of the room and stretch your neck...and it was a water view we thought we were buying. The Oaks may be a wonderful place for the bride and groom, but remember your guests and go elsewhere. This is NOT a friendly place.

The property is nice, however the staff is just plain ridiculous. The bartenders were rude and inattentive. If you dont like working around drunk people, obviously catering events is NOT FOR YOU. At 1050 (wedding ended at 1100), we were herded out the door and locked out. I watched someone unable to get back in who left their jacket. Thumbs down.

Attended/participated in wedding here. The planner/coordinator was very helpful and on top of things. The venue is beautiful and perfectly accommodating for 150 people. For the wedding party/families, it was amazing being able to sleep, get ready, and party all in the same location. Would be more than happy to have my own wedding here someday!

I have had the honor and blessing of presiding over a number of weddings over the past eight years and The Oaks has become one of my favorite places to celebrate with my couples. My experience of the staff has been supportive and care-full in helping families and friends gather at one of the most naturally beautiful spots I have visited.
