Lucky Strikes is going to kill this business when it opens in east rutherford. the point of a bowling alley is to be able to bowl. The projectors behind the lanes glare onto the lanes making it impossible to bowl. If you come here to bowl you will be disappointed. It is a bar with a bowling, and speaking of the bar the drinks are ridiculously over priced. Very disappointing establishment. They renovated the building, but the service is terrible. Waited about 40 minutes to actually pay for shoes and a lane but they dont accept cash because there were no clear lines and the service people were disorganized. Then when we finally got up there and the guy pointed out that we were supposed to be in another line. Then we waited about 30 to 50 minutes for a lane when there were lanes open, only to finally be seated at a lane with a dirty table. The machines were malfunctioning the whole game and there was even about 30 minutes where we had to wait for the "technician" because our pins wouldnt come down. Then as we were finishing the game, someone finally came and cleaned off our table. Terrible service, terrible machines, and terrible place overall. Dont go. The purpose of a bowling alley is to bowl. This place has improved in every way except the bowling experience. Balls and pins get stuck in the back, the floor is not oiled, the seating area is severely cramped leaving little room for leagues and parties to get up to bowl, the lack of carpet means more maintenance issues and slip-n-fall, the pricing is outrageous, and worst of all there is limited ball choice. The only improvements this alley gained were the appearance aspects. The food was cold and old the fact you see mold on fries is nasty despite the new commercial kitchen, the arcade was a d&b failure, and the bar is the only thing popular here. This place is awful and a waste of time and money. I spent more time waiting for the technician to fix the ball and pin issues than i did bowling. I do not plan on ever returning here. Whether it was the bartender, waitress or cashier everyone was lazy and unhelpful. We were told there was no lanes left yet we all saw numerous opened lanes. The food was TERRIBLE!! Chicken fingers and nachos took awhile to come out and sucked. The potential of the venue is there but until they make some changes I wont be returning.. And I know my whole group of friends wont be either.

My son has bowled for High School at this center for 4 years now and I am happy to say that I cant wait till it is finally over. The appearance of the center is very appealing, but that is where the appeal ends. You can not order food through an order taker. You can only purchase food through touch screen. You also can not purchase food or drinks with cash. If you want to pay cash, you must purchase a Bowlero gift card and use the gift card to order food. The other day, I ordered 2 pretzels, anorder of Chicken Quesadillas and a Pepsi. The order came to about $35. A pop up message states no tip necessary. You can not add a tip to the order. Which means if you want to tip, you need to do so in cash. You just cant for anything else in cash. My 2 pretzels & Pepsi came out about 15-20 minutes after I ordered. However, my quesadilla did not come out. I assumed that it was just going to take a little longer than the pretzels so I gave it 45 minutes, still no food. So, I finally asked a staff member if she could find out what happened to my order. She came out a few minutes later and told me that they ran out of meat for the quesadillas. No-one ever came out to tell me or offer my money back. I had to initiate a response. Also, there are continuous breakdowns on the lane equipment and it literally takes anywhere from 4-12 minutes for someone to address the issue. The mechanics/pinchasers are never stationed on the side the league is bowling. Meanwhile there are only a couple of lanes being used for open bowling. Teams had to move to a different pair of lanes on several occasions due to pinsetter issues, ball return issues, scoring issues, etc. Now, as a proprietor of a bowling center, I know how hard it is to please every customer. However, there has to at least be some effort to correct some of these issues and I have not seen any attempt at all. Sometimes an "Im sorry" or we are trying our best to resolve the issue" can go a long way and I have never heard this from one staff member. I wish you well in the future because we need to keep people bowling. It is a great sport and fun recreational activity that anyone can enjoy.

So I was in the bathroom and an employee went to use the bathroom Im there the kid finish his business and doesnt wash his hands thats nasty. Oh my god that explains why I had food poisoning when I came here. i gave amf lanes a shot. it didnt work. i went in today for water guess what fam no kitchen. you got to go to the bar for drinks of water and soda bar is not meant for that. an office why is that needed you guys dont have the pro shop, regular lights, you killed bowling for everyone and rumors have it that you guys might get axed by corporate. i know many camps that involve children axed this place and chose lodi lanes. maybe pool, but this place is not meant for children. i have a sister she said this place looks like the monsters cave. the place is expensive. sometimes i feel like im doing some of the employees jobs meaning cleaning and bringing my food i have a massive rant for that but that cant be said another day. today i noticed a drug deal today also so a black honda civic was parked by trash cans i noticed a skunk like smell i didnt see their faces so i couldnt tell you if it was an employee or not i was riding my bike. i remember wallington lanes the red, the white, and blue the outside colors. where bowling was cheap like 3 dollars and 2 hours for 12 deal. the old alley had a heart for bowling, blacklights were on only for birthday parties now its annoying i have bowling here since like novemeber but im forced to go since i have share and want to see this place crash. There is three letters that wallingoton lanes is going through. Creation, Maintenance, and Decay. they did two of the following C, M whats left is decay and that coming soon. i get free water when i finish my 5k run or 20 mile bike ride. i wouldnt tell anyone to come here anymore. that special place this alley had in my heart is gone and lodi lanes took over it. its a rip off of lucky strikes and LS looks better it was built and designed for it. looking at the prices i heard a rumor that the manger ditched this place for fair lawn.i would have done the same as the manger red lights and blacklights are on as soon as you open the door.

Went in with high expectations; it has cute decor, menu seemed appealing and a cool layout. My bf and I enjoy the occasional bowling date night, so made the longer drive to try this place. For 3 games (around 9pm on sat night) it cost $65! For two people that seems a bit much, but we dont mind paying extra for something special. We go to our booth, which is littered with the previous days worth of shoes...like 15 pairs...thrown all over. There were also families on either side, with kids running wild. The bumpers were up (which they told us to kick down ourselves), there were no balls available and our lane kept malfunctioning. They refused to move us! Finally after the third issue they switched us to the less crowded side. They transferred our first game over, which had wrong scores entered from the errors. I mean, for all the issues they couldnt have given us a fresh start? We were only 4 frames in! Our pitcher of beer took about 30 mins, our food took an hour (if not longer). We had to check in another three times to see what was going on there. He finally got his wings and mozz sticks in the beginning of the third game, but it was another 10 mins before I got my chicken caesar wrap. Those 3 menu items and one pitcher of beer was another $60something. We would have gotten another game or two as we werent quite ready to go home, but at this point, couldnt bear it. The pool tables had opened up, so we stopped to play a game on our way out. Our set did not have an 8 ball (had two 4 balls instead) then the cue ball wasnt returned after I scratched. We were only halfway through the game! At this point, we laughed at how cheated we felt, disappointed at every turn..and there was so much potential! Needless to say, we wont be going back. We saw a groupon for another local alley-$25 for 2 hours (not games) plus 2 drinks and a pizza. Thats where well be going and it will be bounds and leaps above this place!
