We had never been to this movie theater until 17-Jan-2015. We went to see "Selma," and decided to use our Fandango gift card that we won in a gift exchange over the holiday season. There is ample free parking. The prices are about the same for popcorn, candy and beverages albeit expensive. A small bag of popcorn costs $6 and change. They offer FREE popcorn and soda pop refills like most others. At these prices get five or six free refills of popcorn! The matinee prices are/were very reasonable (it was $10 and change for two Adults, but there is a $2 convenience fee that was tacked on for using our Fandango gift card). I rate this place with 3-stars because (1) The movie theater is in the middle of no where. It was not easy to find (but it is on the east side of Central Ave). (2) Restaurants are lacking in this area (almost non-existent). (3) The parking lot is tight and maneuverability was difficult, and finally, (4) The seats are comfortable (minimal elbow room). (Note: I am petite and weigh 120 lbs and I was uncomfortable). I kept bumping my elbow into the person next to me. Annoying! Look for the tall sign with red orange letters "AMC" located a little south of Grand Avenue. We went to a Subway on North Avenue since we had 1-hour to kill before the movie. We noticed bullet-proof glass at this Subway (weve never seen this before at a Subway). Obviously, we must have been in a high-crime area if this Subway had bullet-proof and theft-proof glass. We noticed a lot of Mexican restaurants (they were "cash" only) on Grand Avenue, and also noticed some were no longer in business. If you are looking for a sit-down restaurant then head over to the Brickyard (Fullerton and Narragansett). Another reason for my 3-star rating is that the spaces in the parking lot are tight. Dont be surprised if your car door gets dinged. People pulling in and out of the parking lot were clueless. We figured it out right away. IF you are not familiar with this parking lot, you could end up in a fender-bender (as we witnessed). Would we go here again? Maybe. We are close to three major theaters. However, "Selma" was not playing at 1 pm closer to our neighborhood choices, which was the reason we decided to go here. The positive: 18 different movies playing simultaneously. I recommend this theater if you live closer to the area/neighborhood. Yes, it is very clean and there are tons of stalls in the washrooms (also very clean). This is also a very family friendly theater. We saw lots of children under the age of 10 here. We encountered a friendly, hospitable and helpful staff. We did not encounter any security guards. Not sure why another reviewer made a statement regarding having "lots of security" at this movie theater. This could give the connotation that it is not a "safe" theater. They have a policy that children are not permitted to enter a "R" rated movie, but it only applies after 6 pm. We saw a child (under the age of 5) going to a "R" rated movie with her father. When I brought it to the attention of the Manager I was informed that Management cannot do "anything about it" because it is a matinee movie. This is ridiculous and wrong! The policy needs to be implemented across the board (matinee movie or not). We did not experience any safety issues. We felt safe. We noticed people of all ages here. It is also very diverse/multi-cultural, which we appreciated. We had no issues picking up our tickets (ordered and paid for on-line). It was quick, easy and painless. This is a very inexpensive movie place, which is perfect for people with lots of kids. Even the evening shows are dirt-cheap. Bada-bing Bada boom-boom!

After a dinner date and not being from the area i was taken to this theatre by my date who stated he had been before and it was nice. Upon entering i noticed several signs on the outside of the theatre doors indicating to secure your belongings and to be sure to lock your car doors which was confirmation that the area is not safe! After entering the theatre i immediately noticed it was dirty and very poorly maintained. There was trash everywhere..popcorn throughout the hallways and in the theatre, seats and stairwells. There was FOOD actual containers of food along the hallway floors. My date took pictures of a container of fries and what appeared to be a sandwich in another part of the same hallway. He was shocked as well as he said he visited the theatre approx 6 months ago and couldnt believe how bad it was now.I was so shocked over the condition of this place. The theatre was cold so we kept our coats on and not to mention due to extremely poor sanitation they may have roaches or rodents.I would never ever go back to such a disgusting place. I give this theatre a ton of 0 stars and plan to report them to the BBB and the food safety and sanitation department.

Its a close theater for the area and prices have finally become reasonable but they need more workers. The workers at the ticket booth always seem confused and are slow. The workers at the concession stand are slow at times as well. One day the girl totally forgot to my chicken tenders in the oven and had me waiting nearly 15 mins. The manager barely wanted to compensate me for my time wasted because I had to wait an additional 7 mins after that. However the thing that ALWAYS bugs me about this place is the cleanliness or lack thereof. Theres always popcorn all over the floor and pop! The floors stay sticky! Its like they dont clean after each show. The bathrooms are pretty decent except the soap is usually only filled in one dispenser at a time. If they did more cleaning and followed guidelines for kids in rated R films they would get 4 or 5 stars.

The most slowly staff on the world. I visit there almost every week and Im always amazed how long it takes to give me popcorn and drink. Today I was standing in a line for VIPs (I have AMC Stubs membership for faster better service). Only me. In a normal line was 7 people. I waited 10 minutes. TEN!!! And this is normal situation in this location. There are usually 5-6 sellers and they are talking with each other, and they just dont care. Around them lying on the floor a lot of popcorn. There are 4 soda vending machines... ...today only one have regular CocaCola. Where is manager of this place?!?! This was the last time when I visit this place.

So last night after a long shift at work I went with my husband to see beauty and the beast at 11pm . I saw one lady with a drink and popcorn so I asked the girl at the register so you have anymore popcorn she said no as here fellow coworker behind her proceeded to look at me and was throwing out popcorn into the trash can he had enough to fill a bag . I think it was very rude of her just because she wants to clock out , and for both of them to say we close at 11:15 which it was only 11:10 ! And they were throwing out there scoops full of popcorn . I have never had a problem up until last night . Im very upset with their customer service !

Previous several trips were excellent except the last couple of visits. Booked a ticket for a 3D movie on the app, once we got there no one was there to check the ticket and give the glasses. We just had to walk around to find staff to finally tell us the movie time was changed, and they were surprised to find out we had the reservation for a show that didnt exist. The staff were professional and helped us. Appears that the place is cutting down on staff and they are skipping cleaning some theaters in between movies. Im not sure if this shortage of staff is temporary or they are simply beginning to abandon the place.
