Bottomless Popcorn!! If you have a family that wont go to the movies unless you buy popcorn (my hubby), then... this is a great place to go! They have bottomless popcorn (and soda), and lower priced concessions than other theaters making it a much better deal even though the ticket prices arent that much of a savings. The 10th movie is free (matinee), and if you want sodas and popcorn, they have what they call a "Big Fat Movie Deal" for $24 you can get enough for two including the movie tickets. This is a pretty good deal, like I said... IF you plan on buying concessions anyways. This is my extended familys favorite theater (we go every time Im there), and Ive given gift certificates from there for the last three years. The only big problem I have with them is that you cant seem to get anyone on the phone, their voice mail is always full, and you dont have the option of buying a gift certificate online. You have to go there to get them usually. They need to bring their on-line presence up to speed. Even if they dont want to or cant sell tickets directly off of their site, it would be nice if their website gave a contact number (I had to Google it), and info. on how to get gift certs. if you cant make it to town to buy them in person. (Some family owned theaters I know of will allow you to buy gift certs on-line, and will even mail them for you free of charge... hint, hint hint.)

This was an okay theater. After reading the reviews, I assumed that it was a discount theater, (BTW, it is now called Hayden Cinemas 6), but at $8 bucks a person, its not that much of a discount. The drinks and snacks are priced significantly less than other theaters in the area. The theater room itself was a bit of a disappointment as the screen was closer to half the size of a normal screen. The seats were not at an incline, making it necessary to crane your head back a bit (we had to sit about 5 rows back from the front), but the seats, while well worn, were comfortable. The audio was excellent. They do have a customer card with a free 10th movie. All in all, it was okay and we will probably go back again because wed rather support local businesses over corporate chains, but if you are looking for a theater with extras like reclining seats and cup holders that retract, this is not that place.

Family owned business. Cant beat their prices for tickets and for their concession stand. The cleanliness of the building could be slightly improved. Its not horrible but people are inherently slobs and leave trash everywhere that seems to only get taken care of maybe once a day. Sound quality is okay. For a discount theater it gets the job done but dont expect to be blown out of your seats. Speaking of seats, they are not the best.. but then again this is a discount theater, youre getting what you pay for. All in all a great place to see a movie you didnt want to pay full price for but also wanted to see on a large screen. Good place to take the kids or a simple date night. They often have special events too like showing sports games on the big screen or showing locally made movies. They also have had events like lights shows too.

Kootenai County is lucky to have an alternative to the walmart sized box office where service and a fair price seem to be pretty much ancient history.. Yes discount is very nice in an era of the "mega" everything at the big box offices but there is more to this place then cinema on the cheap. The owners here offer a wide range of movie experiences including art films which otherwise are typically ignored by Regal. So what else does discount buy? I concede that I do wish that I could pay a little extra for a more comfortable seat but here the service to the customer seems to be a commitment, ie No standing in line watching 1 or 2 cashiers sell tickets to 14 movies while wondering if we might be able to purchase our tickets in time to see the movie. Thank you.

If your movie plays in one of the newer theater rooms, it seems just like a full price place. If you end up in one of the older rooms, you have to suffer through flat floors and old, uncomfortable seats. However, the popular movies play in the nicer rooms and the older/lower budget films are in the old rooms, which are usually sparsely seated, so seeing over someones head isnt an issue. Tickets are $3 per person, and the theater snacks are reasonably priced as well. My small family can go here and get snacks for less than the price of two tickets at the normal theater.

I would probably give this a three if not for the excellent pricing, $3 for recent films is an awesome opportunity for large families or for college kids (like me) who finally found enough quarters to do something fun. Facilities are fairly clean, but the seats arent terribly comfortable–keep in mind this was a full price theater before the Regal theater came in and this was bought out and converted to what it is today, so the seats are fairly old– but if you dont mind trading shifting in your seat on rare occasion for a movie at 1/4 the price, you cant beat HDC!

my wife and i go here every week end it has become our special night out each week. we both work hard during the week and look forward to the relaxing time there..the cheap $3 per person price is awesume, the movies are pretty recent and my wife loves the popcorn and i like the caramel corn i like that the lines are.nt real long and even though the seats are old they are comfortable.and yes it is pretty clean.its not cathedral seating but not a BAD SEAT IN THE HOUSE. I HOPE IT STAYS HERE AND AT THE SAME PRICE AND STANDARD FOR MANY YEARS TO COME.

We love coming here. We have gone to the movies more times since they opened, than we ever had. Never could afford the other places. The owners are really nice, and seem like good people. The staff are friendly. The prices are great....especially for families. We are more than happy to wait longer for the movies. If I had to "complain" about something, it would be that they only take cash. Not a big deal, just have to make sure you have some on you. And they only have red vines ( Im a Twizzlers person). But seriously, we love coming here.

Took my 3 year old to see Home a little over a month ago. It was her 1st movie theater experience, so I wanted to give her the whole experience with popcorn, candy and soda. My husband was nervous because we are usually very frugal. With a total damage of $15 (2 tickets, 2 sodas, 1 popcorn, and 1 candy), he was very impressed. The theater is also very clean and the employees are nice and well trained (all things that you usually forfeit at discount places). Very impressed and will definitely be going again.

I love this place it has amazing prices no tax it is only $2-$3 for one person no one searches you all you do is walk in pick a movie they give you a color ticket and you find the theatre with the same color as your ticket usually no one is there so you can pretty much sit literally anywhere whether you like the front back or middle. I LOVE this place it is awesome with its great movies, times, prices, and how it is not usually full unless it is a movie like batman and superman lol.
