Where do I start? If it tells you anything, I downloaded this app just to give Majestic Cinemas this review. Upon entering the theater you approach two booths to purchase tickets. The show listings not in plain view, and unless you know the specific showtime you may mess up your purchase. Once you figure out the movie and the showtime, the people behind the desk give you hostel looks and provide the warm environment of entering a prison. The only difference is they are robbing you. At $10 a ticket, you should expect quality picture and sound. However, over the years I have been there, they have left the lights on for a quarter of the showing, they have made the sound so loud it becomes unbearable, they have mismatched the sound with the image so the voice comes 3 seconds after the mouth, so on and so forth. The theater food is overpriced, which is pretty standard, unfortunately, thats all the theater standards this "Majestic" cinema meets. It has the atmosphere of a prison, the look of a dollar theater, the quality of a torrented movie, and the staff of henchmen in the movie you are likely about to struggle to view. To provide an example, earlier today my friend and I decided to hit one of the last showings of a movie. Majestic, unfortunately was the closest one. We purchase our tickets and sit down to enjoy the movie. Then we are stalked down by a disheveled employee with a patchy neckbeard, who asks to see our tickets. I am in the habit of throwing tickets away, because I prefer not to have those pesky tickets rustling in my pockets. So they pull me out of the movie and force me to look through the trash like a homeless man, while a crowd of employees watch with beady eyes as they feast on the misfortune of others. In other words, make sure you keep your ticket pinned to your chest or they will single you out and mortify you for the enjoyment for the staff. I wish that I could give less than 1 star.

My kids and I arrived for our 11:30am movie at 11:10. The doors were locked and there were a couple other mothers, standing in the cold, with small children. We could see people in the ticket booth but no one even made an attempt to let us in or let us know what was going on. We saw an employee go in one of the doors and followed her into the lobby area. We followed her in to at least get our kids out of the cold to wait for one one to acknowledge us. After standing in front of the ticket office for several minutes, while the employees ignored us, we noticed a sign on the furthest ticket booth saying to pay at the concessions. At this point there were several families. We all walked in towards the concession where all 5 employees, including a manager, continued to ignore us. Not one person said "hello", no "well be with you in a moment". I even heard a female employee ask several times "what are all these people doing here" as she rolled her eyes! Finally after waiting a very long, awkward time a fellow customer asked if we could get tickets. The kid answered "I mean I guess" REALLY?? Isnt this a movie theatre? Are these people not being taught any form of customer service? I should have left then but my kids were so excited to finally watch their movie. We finally got our snacks and headed toward our movie. The theatre was dirty overall. The seats were disgustingly dirty. Covered in hair, gum, old popcorn, and spilled soda. I will NEVER return to this theatre. What a waste of time and $50.

2nd UPDATE: Currently waiting in the LARGE theater room to watch Deadpool. The staff was prompt and very careful with my order including the hot dog. Theater is very uncluttered this time and no problems with getting my tickets processed. Kudos for my drink not having any after flavor like some other theaters. Hot dog tasted great (Best hot dogs in town!) Also kudos for quick management reply and response to my concerns. Im still waiting for the theater to reinstate the free popcorn seasoning like they used to have. Hopefully my future experience will be consistent! UPDATE: Management is addressing my concerns and invited me back to the theater. My suggestions for improvement are also being considered. I will update the review after I visit the theater again. Im raising the star rating to three stars for the time being. "Went to see the revenant on opening night on a Thursday, and the only room they were showing it in was far back and smaller than my living room (exaggeration). The cashier didnt know how to dispense our movie tickets that were purchased online, so she had to call a manager to put in the confirmation code after sending me to scan them at the front and the scanner not picking up the codes. The hot dog bun was dry and stale. I used go to this theater all the time, and the service and value has gone down the drain! Wont be coming back any time soon!"

I remember when Majestic first opened up. It was a great new theater and I greatly enjoyed going to it. The staff was always friendly and very helpful. Unfortunately, those days are gone. Now when you go into the Majestic, it looks like a rundown dollar theater. The staff seems to be made up of nothing but a bunch of whiney complainers. While waiting in line for popcorn, I overhear two employees complaining to each other about another employee and how much they hate working with her. One of the employees also stated how much she hated that job and wish everyone (Im assuming shes referring to the paying customers) would just go away. After getting our popcorn, we start to head into the theater. An employee with a broom and dust pan in hand passes by us and runs into my kid, nearly knocking him over. The employee looks at him and says "watch where you are going please." Hes lucky I didnt knock him out for that. The sound volume for the movie itself seemed to be much higher than needed. I love good loud, clear, audio when at a movie, but when its so loud it almost makes it difficult to listen to, thats just too much. After this last visit to the Majestic, I have decided it will be the last visit. Its too bad too, as I mentioned, I really enjoyed it when it first opened.

EXTREMELY POOR customer service & management. My family intended to go to a movie at 8:40 pm showing. To find out it wasnt showing due to technical difficulties, and we could go to the 9:15 showing. No sign, no notice nor an offering of any kind for the inconvenience. Both the manager & general manager "claim" there was nothing they could do for the inconvenience; not even a free popcorn! Insulted me by saying he could refill anything I purchased which is already offered when you buy popcorn & soda..what a joke! For a general manager not to have the authority to make a customer happy after inconveniencing them; shows a lack of trust by the owners, and poor authority for a general manager not to step up and make a situation right for all parties involved.

We have been to Majestic Cinemas before many times, but we just celebrated my daughters birthday there. Loved, loved, loved it! The staff was so friendly and accommodating. The price was great, considering each kid got a movie ticket, a drink, popcorn, and a candy bar, plus we got a movie room for an hour, and all the paper plates, napkins, cups, plastic utensils, and table cloth were provided and set up before we got there. They even reserved an entire row of seats for us for our movie of choice. This was by far the most relaxing party (for me) that we have ever done. I highly recommend Majestic.
