We had come to the theater to watch Girl on the Train in theater #2 on October 10th. In the middle of the movie, I became extremely itchy on my back. Thinking nothing of it I continued watching the movie. When we came out of the theater, I had my fiancé look at my back and noticed there were bites all over it. It looked like bed bug bites. I went to the general manager to complain two days later as I wanted to make sure it was from there and see if we got any other bites from the hotel or elsewhere. We had no other bites from anywhere else after the movie when we left. All they said was they had their pest control company take a look and didnt notice anything. Of course they have to say that, it would be accepting liability otherwise. I would show up in the surveillance footage of me moving around in my chair and also asking my fiancé to look at my back in the middle of the movie. It was too dark in there so you also would see in the footage us coming in the lobby and me having him see my back. If I were you, Id stay away or risk the chance of getting bit by bed bugs or worse....bringing them back with you.

With all the good things that have been happening not only in the movie viewing industry, with luxury theaters such as Cinépolis and the Lot popping up in incresing numbers, as well as the recent renovations to Horton Plaza Park, it is disappointing that with only half as much theater space no improvements whatsoever have been made to this complex. When the Reading Theater in Gaslamp closed earlier this year I was truly saddened as it indicated I would ahve to go to Mission Valley to see a quality movie experience, complete with snacks and worthwhile prescreening trivia. Horton plaza has a lot to offer, as well as 4 hours free parking with a movie. Yet the theater needs to seriously make some drastic changes to entice people to fork over the $12+ for a matinee rather than simply waiting for the on-demand a few months later.

Yes, its tucked away and never crowded. But there is reason - its bad. Concession items werent working properly, I had to pay for an extra popcorn just to get a bag! Inside of the theater needs sound proofing. During quiet periods of the movie I was watching, I could hear the movie in the next theater! Wont be going back - poor quality, poor customer service. I would rather pay the premium at an ArcLight Theater.

I use to like this theater. Now I am so disappointed! No Senior discounts! No new movies! Management definitely needs to step it up. Dont they realize how the location makes it convenient for Seniors that take public transportation? Please follow ULTRA STARs path! They have Tues/Thurs discount days. The have early shows 10-11am. Now they have improved on food variety in a major way. Come on; GET IT TOGETHER!

Came here for a San Diego Film Festival screening. Movie was scheduled to start at 7:30pm it is now 5 minutes past the start time and the line hasnt moved. The line queue was completely disorganized and the staff kept telling patrons to not stand in front a door. They then moved the line but didnt ensure everyone kept order. Particularly the employee Sal was unfriendly. Nobody knows what is going on here.

Even though I live a block from this location I prefer to travel across town when seeing a movie. There is a reason this theater is never crowded, its really old and outdated. Screens are small, seats are uncomfortable, poor soundproofing, and I often found the seating areas dirty from previous showings.

i really like to go to this theater because the crowd is usually small. I do suggest to eat before or after the movie, Bottle water is almost $6.00 and then they ask if you want to donate the change... i was too scared to look at popcorn and soft drink prices. Ouch!

Its a very nice movie theater Ive been coming here for years since I work close by employees are very nice to the costumers very sufficient its a good movie theater the only problem we need some better movies for a little longer so we get a chance to come and watch it

Not a great theater for the price. Its a little creepy at night being in the open air mall with all the shops closed and having one small entrance in the middle of the mall surrounded on the streets by sleeping vagrants. Probably better to go in the day.

one of the previous reviews mentioned bed bugs in the theater. i thought that was too far fetched to be true so i went here anyway. after an hour i walked out of the movie covered in bug bites. this theater is disgusting and should be condemned.

The food is garbage pretzel was microwaved. If you want more than one item you have to wait for the first one to "cook". Theater is super old and nasty. If this place is not fixed soon it will be gone. I will never return it is a waist of money.

Customer service is Crappy, the Food/Concessions tasted bland and maybe outdated. The sound to the movies doesnt seem up-to-par like other movie theaters. Not really ever that Crowded... But they need to remodel and/or update that theater!

Everytime I come here theres about a 1/3 chance the projector is going to go out at the start of the movie. They always give you a free ticket for your trouble, which is nice, but Id rather they just fix the projector

Its a great theater to go to. Not too crowded ever. Yes, its not as updated as many other theaters but thats what I like about it. I would recommend this theater to those who like watching Standard movies!

My only problem is the cost. $20+ to see a movie and have a small popcorn and a soda. So 40 if I want to bring a date and if we eat before hand it gets pricy. Makes you understand the appeal of Netflix.

I liked nothing, I havent seen a theater like this since 1988. Horrible decoration, old screen. I regret coming here will never be back. The only thing good about this place is tbe exit

I love movies when I can afford them. Great place to watch the latest movies. Been coming here since 1984. You will see the Wolverine occasionally. Keep an eye open. Lol.

Only 4 star because sometimes there is some sound distortion in some of the theaters. Otherwise great service and quality.
