Movico in West Palm Beach, City Walk area What an enchanting and beautiful theater. On the outside. Arrived in line to purchase tickets with 6 people ahead of us. Movie starts in 15-minutes, 1-cashier. Said cashier not really capable in any sense of the word. Each person in line she had to ask multiple times what show, how many tickets, reward cards and then repeated these questions because she did not have the capacity to remember. A lady in line waved at the 2-coworkers inside to see if they could open another line but they just waved back and continued their conversation. We tried using the select kiosk outside to purchase our tickets but all 4 were not working. 25-minutes later, mind you only 6-people ahead of us and only 4-actually purchasing tickets, and we arrive to counter of sloth lady. "Hi, 1-adult, 1-senior for xx-movie at 3:15, we dont have a reward card and dont want one." Okay, how many tickets? -answered. Okay what movie? -answered. Do you have reward Card? -no, just want this movie. (Pause) Okay, how many tickets? Once tickets in hand from Miss ihavethementalcapacitytounderstandbutdonotreallycare. I asked what theater it is showing; her response, theyll tell you inside. Enter and hand off tickets after we rudely interrupted the important discussion being held by the 2-workers who waved at the lady earlier. Not sure if their conversation was on new acne treatment or what they would do if they actually didnt have to pay for a date? Enter upstairs to purchase a popcorn, soda, and bottle of water. No hellos or greeting from the ugly sloth creature but in her defense she was busy texting someone, probably critical in her life of movie theater establishment. She walked up and tossed the bag of popcorn onto the counter with popcorn falling on counter and floor (still no hello but she is still trying to fit her phone back into her rear pocket, tight fit). The movie was fantastic although the seats behind us were littered with trash, theater is epic and beautiful for scenery and ambiance, as long as you dont look at the workers handling your food without gloves or actually attempt eye contact. If you visit here, run, dont walk, that way youll have more time to wait in line to arrive late at your movie. And never, ever look the workers in the eye. Or feed them after midnight. No matter how much they beg.

My boyfriend and I went to see The Conjuring 2 today. Probably one of the worst experiences weve had at this theater. Towards the end of the movie a group of kids walk in and sit in the row behind us. Theyve obviously just come from another theater and were crashing. It wouldnt have been an issue if they were quiet. They were right behind us and were texting and talking. After multiple people shushed them, we finally were irritated enough to go complain to the staff. My boyfriend went the first time. He said he went to the desk by the entrance and spoke to the employee there, he didnt get her name unfortunately, he told them where they were sitting and described them to her. We assumed they would come in and ask to see their tickets and then boot them out. About five minutes after he came back we saw a staff member stick her head in the theater. Of course they went quiet when they saw her and, when she left they began again. I went this time, I spoke with the girl we bought our popcorn from, I described them and told her where they were sitting. She assured me that she would be in. Nobody came in. Finally, we just ended up leaving. We stopped by the entrance one last time to get a refund and found out the woman my boyfriend originally complained to had left. He approached her shortly before her shift ended and she informed no one else of the situation. Normally, we would have just let it go but, it seems like every time we go to this theater this is happening now. The last three or some times weve come this has happened, this being the only time we walked out. I would be more willing to come back but, the staff is doing nothing about this and only driving away loyal, paying customers.

Probably the best theater in the county. The chairs are comfortable, the screens are above average in size, they offer IMAX, and the sound system is exceptional (I like my movies loud). Its slightly higher priced than my default theater (Cobb @ Downtown of the Gardens). They have assigned seating. Although I have yet to be the beneficiary of assigned seating and it can make for some pretty awkward moments- there is a certain level of fairness to it that I can appreciate. The lines for the tickets are always seemingly long and crowded. The do-it-yourself kiosk outside is not very user friendly. The only real negative of this theater is the people. HOL-LEE-SHEEEEIT! Expect a lot of talking, whispering, clapping, texting, laughing, out-loud commenting, etc. It can be a bit much, especially if youre not the type of person that can zone that stuff out. PRO TIP: Buy your tickets online in advance and select your seat. You have to park in a parking deck so give yourself plenty of time. Most people parlay their movie with a night out since there are many neighboring bars and restaurants.

Absolutely filthy! I went to see a 10:45 p.m. showing of Star Wars and went to use the bathroom beforehand. The floor was sticky and there was no toilet paper in the first stall, which was already enough, but after the movie was over, I went to a bathroom on another floor, knowing my floors bathroom would be packed. Keep in mind this is at 1:20 a.m., not the busiest time, and I went to ANOTHER floor which a movie hadnt been let out from in an hour. There was toilet paper all over the floor, the first stall I opened, the stench of urine was so bad I almost vomited (I literally had to step back and swallow hard, so I didnt vomit), second stall had no toilet paper, and then after washing my hands there were no paper towels. I have worked in a movie theater for over a year in the past, and that doesnt just happen. Even if 3 movies let out at once. That was neglect. It made a gas station bathroom seem like a spa. It was deplorable. Either management under-staffed, or the crew is incompetent. Either way, ruined my experience.

Been going here since the day it opened when I was attending Dreyfoos up the street. Used to be really well maintained. Sadly, the building is falling apart. Since my last visit a year ago, the ceilings in the upstairs concession area are falling down and dripping water in several places. Cant possibly be sanitary and I can imagine mold is an issue. Secondly. I paid +$75 for tickets and concessions. That same water damage has left a dark smudge in the middle of the screen in upstairs auditorium 14. This is a disgrace. During a 3D movie it was even more visible due to the 3D glasses. I fully intend on contacting and asking for a partial if not full refund. To top it off I came home after the movie and both my girlfriend and I got violently sick from our snacks... This place needs a really good cleaning and a health inspection before Ill consider attending a movie here again - and again. Thats from someone who has been coming here since the day it opened. Get it together, Muvico.
